To be fair to Nagatoro, the boundary wasn't established. He's never expressed any issue with it before. Moreover, I don't think she was upset about the nude sketch. I think she was just upset that he lied. Just like Gamo-chan said.

I mean, looking at Nagatoro in these panels, It makes me very eager to see those moments be animated sometime in the future, it just gets to show you how much the way she teases Senpai yet having to get closer, you expect she will cry.

I don't think this is entirely an L for Sempai, this is more a teaching moment to show Nagatoro that she can push her BF's buttons too much and also understand that as a art student, Sempai is asked to do this sometimes. Both sides definitely need to talk this out, they're both at fault to various degrees.

It also deals with Hayase's body issues she feels about other characters with bigger breasts. The seeds of this happened in earlier chapters when Naoto won the bet against his female classmate and she bet herself nude for art class. Naoto should have been honest about what he was doing and dealt with the consequences later, and Nagatoro should have respected his boundaries.

How long did it take for him to make her cry. She made him cry how many times.

The author has always presented the character's with little hints to there being a deeper depth and layer to them and always teased it with their pauses and mannerisms around subjects. It feel like this is the second climax that a lot of fans have been waiting for besides the love confession itself. The facade of being emotionally distant is slowly becoming undone.

Real talk though: violating someone's privacy and/or personal boundaries is never the answer; once you cross that line, you can never go back. I have my doubts as to whether the author can handle this topic properly, but we'll see.

hachi did kinda screw up by not just being upfront about it. it doesn't help that nagatoro has met her and knows who she is. but true that it's not like nagatoro doesn't know that he's drawn models and it's sometimes part of this career path. she shouldn't have dug through his belongings. both screwed up.

I hope we get a season 3 pretty soon because I really love this series and nagatoro is the queen of the sadoderes

First it was Dress up darling Now it's Nagatoro da hell 😂 these authors do love adding some spice for certain parts still love it though Then you look at Uzaki where everything seems to be just chill but with a very different spice

So, I'm autistic and have a difficult time lying or keeping secrets and to be honest, I just dislike doing it. I do it sometimes for things like work or towards some friends but generally I don't. And thankfully my wife understands this. So we do not have boundaries or keep things from each other. My pc screen is the tv in the living room and she usually sits on the couch next to me whatever I'm doing. This includes chatting with friends or watching some of the ecchi/borderline hentai series like for instance Gushing over Magical Girls. And for us, this works. Sometimes she does wonder how I don't mind her doing some of the things she does but it's also reassuring to her that she can do or watch anything without me getting bent out of shape about it. So yeah, just wanted to share and let people know that there are relationships with no boundaries that work. And in our case I'd say our relationship works because there are no boundaries. Fully accept that this doesn't work for everyone, but it does reassure me that I'm married to the right kind of woman for me.

I don't read the manga, but episode 9 of season 2 of the anime really rubbed me the wrong way. When senpai (forgot his name) told Nagatoro that it's not like her to give up, she went off on him in a nasty way. After two seasons of giving him crap constantly, the one time he gives his own opinion she immeditely lash out. That really pissed me off

he told a white lie. he didn't say that he was drawing or sculpting something like that, but just that he was in general. he wanted to spare her feelings. he trustd her not to look in his stuff. on the other end, she expects him to be open, which he should be, and normally is. normally she would just go through his stuff and look at his art (from what i've seen anyways) and has reasonable distaste that he hid this, despite not really hiding it. neither is in the wrong. and to be fair, the president kinda foreshadowed this happening with her self portraits. at some point, the art would take this sort of direction. if they were gonna cover the art at all in the show, it was clear that it was gonna be included in the curriculum like irl.

The coverup is worse than the crime, it's said. There was no crime, but there was kind of an attempt at a coverup. But, there's hardly anything less romantic than a life drawing class. The only way the situation plays realistically IMO is that Sempai's "coverup" & Nagatoro's prying into Senpai's sketchbook are the only problems. The human figure depicted in art can be erotic, but the only thing I can think of that's more clinical than nudity in a life drawing class is maybe nudity in the medical context. There's a naked person on a dais, a bunch of students in front of easels, and an instructor walking around, making suggestions to the students and periodically saying "Change!" to cue the model to adopt a new pose. The model is about as interesting as a still-life bowl of fruit to the bystander.

To be fair its amazing how I can relate to Senpai, not saying im in a relationship but this is probably one of the fears I have of being in one. Also good gosh i never seen Nagatora cry like that.

I do wish this was drawn out a little longer. Feels like it came so quick after finally getting to them dating. Maybe at least 2 chapters at least for them to enjoy the moment. But it's still good.

the last time I checked she was awfully bad about pestering the dog shit out of him when it comes to little things after a while I'm pretty sure that shit would get very old whether or not she became his girlfriend or not at no point in time did the boy lie to her he said he was sculpting he wasn't hiding anything from her she deliberately went through his shit out of being nosiness and curious and then overreacted because she's insecure about herself he's not in the wrong for being an artist and he's not in the wrong for being mad about her going through his things but I find it hilarious that this is the way it was set up that the guy is always wrong for doing what his Club requires him to do and if the female in the relationship can't understand that she don't need to be with him.

Can't feel bad for Nagatoro when she crossed Naoto's boundries...again... Does she not know what those are or something?

It is extremely refreshing to see a rom com manga move beyond the honeymoon phase and dive into the reality and obstacles of a relationship. The only other time I've been invested in something like this was Boys Over Flowers back in the day, because it also decided to take that leap. It hits harder because any of us who have struggled to make relationships work and understand ourselves and our partners better connect with it. I hope the back portion of this series leans heavy into this. It's gonna hurt like hell but it is going to make the inevitable happy ending so much more of a payoff.

Although I slightly disagree with Nagatoro, I can understand her. Now, sempai is an artist and he may not want to show off the art and he doesn’t want to offend her. He should trust her enough to explain something in complete sentences with a bit more confidence. But at the same time that is a bit more sensitive especially there is no weird feelings for the nude art. So although I don’t see wrong doing on sempai part I see both sides and see that communication is absolutely necessary for communication to work.

I don’t really follow this series but is that really that big of an issue? She had know about his drawing since day one as well as teasing him for it, did she think this day wouldn’t arrive? It is like serving in food service, I know people who say they aren’t a couple at work because of the minor levels of flirting they have to do to get good tips. Work pushes you to extremes sometimes move on and focus on you and the one you are with.

The act of sketching a nude model itself wasn't the problem. There were instances of him doing the same in the past, but he always told her about it and while she acted somewhat jealous and protective of him, she was accepting of the fact that he's an artist, and that's just what he has to do. What hurt her this time, was the fact that he lied and tried to hide it from her. From Nagatoro's POV, he suddenly started acting suspicious and when asked about it, he lied and tried to hide it from her. And when she saw the drawing, there were probably few things that went through her mind: 1. Wait, This is a nude drawing. 2. This is the girl from his class. 3. Did he lie to me about drawing a sculpture? 3. Wait, why did he lie to me? It's not like this is the first time he has to draw a nude model. He always told me about it before. 4. Is it different this time? How is it different? Why was he trying to hide it from me this time?? 5. Does he not trust me anymore? 6. Did something happen that he doesn't want me to know?? What's happening? ;(( and then he sees her, and looking super guilty, and unable to even look her in the eyes, he tells her that she shouldn't have looked without permission. This probably made her feel even more confused, and probably the possibility of worst thing happening started to form at the back of her mind. I blame Naoto for this one. While he didn't do it with bad intensions, he still didn't trust that she would understand, and somehow it would be different now that they've started going out. One could say, well, Nagatoro shouldn't have looked at his personal belongings, but that's how she was from the start. She was always all over him and sticking her nose in his personal life. Yes, it could be a problem, but the fact that this was the first time he reacted this seriously to her behavior, made her feel even more suspicious and betrayed. But it's fine. This will be a learning experience for both of them, especially for Naoto. He's gonna fix this. Contrary how he was in the past, our boi has grown pretty big pair over the course of the story.

Sorry Chibi, but today you sound like someone who just took someone's negative narrative from subreddit. And that someone doesn't really like Nagatoro and will always find an opportunity to pick on her. Naoto always told Nagatoro what he drew and always wanted to show Nagatoro his drawings (read chapter 107). Nagatoro only looked at Naoto’s drawing after she'd given chance to him a few times to be honest here and now. She only got too curious moment she sees that Senpai, who always proudly shows her his paintings, today was trying to avoid this. He only brought up boundaries when their trust was inconvenient for him. Sorry, but setting boundaries doesn't work in moment when you've been caught. It's enough to read next dialog between Senpai and Gamo to realize that Nagatoro doesn't demand that Senpai give up drawing, she *surprise surprise* posed nude for him herself and understands that it's part of his life. And she wasn't mad at him for drawing someone else. Main problem was that he had lied. Period. There's no discussion here and I'm glad Senpai realized that and is already on road to fix situation. Good thing author realizes all of this too. "I'm not a nudist like prez and I'm not some professional model either so, I'm not going to strip for just anyone, ok...?" is Nagatoro's quote from chapter 114 before she stripped for Senpai's drawing. And now he betrayed this girl's trust right after they became a couple. I don't want to be too biased, but Senpai has a lot more to lose by breaking up with Nagatoro

Im ngl nagatoro's anime was super mid. Also having a main character without a name definitely takes me out of it. then they do literally all the same stuff as every other romance story is doing. This anime actually made me think for a second "is romance stories these day just really bad or have i changed to not like them anymore." Then i watched and read more (ex: Blue Box) and i realized wow they can be written with depth and subtlety as well as creativity and magically its good.
