To all the guys saying it will take forever to set up this build. In BNet finding a Mosaic base is relatively easy. people pay a lot for mediocre bases (um to ist). Farm cows for an hour and use traderie and you should be set with 2 mosaics. Also, with dragon flight enigma is not 100% necessary and you do not need griffons or any other crap. You could run 2 Mosaics and nothing else and still survive. It is stupidly easy to set up.

Does fist of fire skill levels passively convert physical damage to fire damage or when using fist of fire charges?

I found a 3 socket runic talons with 3 dragon flight 1 mind blast 2 lighting sentry Would that be a ok base for mosaic? I dont play pvp only pvm.

Also with how they changed the Next Hit delay thing the MosaicSin just got a lot stronger with how next hit delay was effecting Phoenix Strike 2nd Charge and the 3rd charge of claws of thunder. The only I could see them nerfing MosiacSins is by liming how many different charges you are allowed to have out. I don't use fits of fire because it at a certain level it converts all physical dmg to fire dmg making life leech impossible which I don't like because I would like to have some survivability. I also I use cobra strike to help with the mana and life leech.

Absolutely OP go-anywhere rainbow damage - Its a surprise this was not nerfed. Earlier they even nerfed FIREWALL/HYDRA but allow this OP shit to fly for multiple season.

This build broke my pc. I joined a cow game and there was two disco sins just going ham. My game was fried. Had to drop all the graphics to low lol

As a pretty casual player, Mosaic is great! I would never dream of making an assassin before then... the cost of the claws is so low that it is actually manageable to try and go for it in a solo self found game, and once you get those claws, all the harder farming areas open up, it's great!

They should NOT patch out mosaic in any way. No to the rebalance! If anything we should get more stuff like this added to the game! More unusable builds made possible with endgame runewords that arent as expensive as enigma

Top knotch again, Coooley! I personally want them to leave the attributes alone, but maybe calm down the blast of brightness on the pops. As you've shown, this is the worst build to try a random rage kill on. I've experienced this with my Sin, myself. So funny... 😂

Good shit. I loved the idea of MA sin already so having mosaic bring out it's ultimate "potential" has been a pleasure. Hit 99 last week. Never used cobra strike. Loved it but totally understand if it gets a nerf, never been able to make a build so strong. I don't care tho I achieved what I wanted lol. Good luck with the hair

I'd make Mosaic roll with "insert random charge skill" doesn't consume charges mod instead as well as 15-25% random elemental skill damage bonus. This way with 2 claws you can focus on 2 skills instead of using all of them which is kinda over the top damage wise and visually. This will also create 2 chase items wile keeping budget setup where low %bonus on one claw at least matches the skill on the other possible.

They shouldnt nerf it, just maybe up the runes required. Late game builds are supposed to be giga busted - killing tons of monsters and teleporting around like youre thanos himself is what makes games like this hella fun

Also the more points you put into Fade end game the more res charms you can replace with MF charms further boosting your drops.

How do you play without cobra strike and with infinity merc without drinking 17 mana potions per minute?

I don't think it needs to be nerfed. I played a mosaic sin last season and it was fun for a bit. But.. imo it just lacks farming speed, the problem is that you have to build up the stacks first, and you have to kill a monster every few seconds... That just doesn't fit my Playstyle.

For pvm. Drop the fist of fire. Pump Phoenix strike and 1 point cobra make every kick a full juv.

They don't need to change it. They should bring the other lacking classes up with some cool new rune words, though. Druid, Necro and Barb could do with some loven'

heck, they should buff the claw to 100% keep stacks, so we get some more diversity in the off-hand slot. Jade Talons, Tuc's, even Nat set open up. Or even a shield!

Is Mosaic still ladder and single player only?

ehh i feel like a lightning sunder paired with the second charge of phoenix strike is the way to go. that chain lightning is crazy

At first I was against mosaic being so powerful... but I've grown to love my mosaic sin. I'm glad they made martial arts OP. I hate sins and MA was literally the only sin I made on lod back in the day because pvp made me hate trappers so much I refused to build one :D

Yeah last ladder I had a lot of bullshit to deal with in the terror zones and never died because of how fast and strong the build is.

I have a level 99 martial arts assassin and it’s a wild one.. once she gets going I plow through everything.. I don’t really need too much resistance and it doesn’t matter if I am frozen once she gets going she can plow through anything ❤

For as long as I can remember, you need a lot of high runes to make a players 3-4 bowazon . And now, with 2 relatively low runes you can roll a players 8 assassin. Very balanced.

cobra strike only works when u dont max out fire fist. u can't give up all ur phys dmg. get fire fist to lvl 20ish and cobra strike will work.

Don't you Dare Jinx me Coooley, Loving the Sin, The Sin isn't a Factor in Legit GM Duelz. I'm 100% against any Nerf to this Lovely build for MA Sin. There's Major Factors that need to be taken into account, MA sin has a lot of Resistance issues and you will not be Clearing Souls in p8 just because you have 2 Mosaic Claws. You will need decent Torch/Anni a Solid Mara's Maybe a few +5 Res SC's and a Nice pair of MA IAS gloves res +30% to really make this build shine. Hell Mobs are Gonna have 1-2 Resistance immunities which makes your build 1/3rd as effective against a Mob with 2 immunities. This is UNTIL you have some of the Above gear that can boost your resistances in combination with Fade to Hit the threshold & Use Sunders. Lets be real after All, Buying/Finding the Claw Shown above is Either Gonna be Super Expensive or incredibly rare, 98% of ppl aren't going to have something like that. The MA Sin requires a High Lvl Stat point Investment and Doesn't Benefit from Dexterity and you Can't hit Max Block with Wep Block. MA Sin is one of the best Changes Blizzard could've made to the game that doesn't affect the pvp community. SO Lets take a Look at Something Like the 18k Hammer Din Versus the Stack Building MA Sin, PALLY Boss Kill Speed is way FASTER Lets Look at CS Java Zon Fastest Boss Killer in the Game. There's TONS of other End Game Builds that Shine. My NL Sin is Something Like 18k Minimum 38k(Ice not Lightning) max Damage Full Charges Full Gear, Which I'm also running a Beast of a PC and the game just Looks incredible. That's Power and Gear That Hada be Earned/Traded I Didn't start out at those Damage numbers a Sin with No Gear and 2 Mosaics is like 4-6k Min-14/16k Max Starting out. BTW Life Leech is GG is you only put 1 point into Fists of Fire.

Hmm. I'll try it your way. I stopped using fist of fire and replaced with cobra strike. Still ran p8 like it was p1. 2charge in Phoenix strike 3charge in the rest. No life or mana issues ubers easy mode. Merc uses infinity.

I had my sound off and someone hostile me while i was cowing. It didnt turn out well for that person, he died off screen to my flashy chain lightning. But yea i say nerf to only allow one element charge. Runing with all three is too OP, fire = metoer damage over time on floor to keep u safe, cold to freeze and slow targets, lightning for aoe killing. I never worry about charges cause charge 1 or 2 on claws of thunder kills most and lets me build charges slowly.

i personally think it'd be cool if they added a shield that grants the teleport skill, it would give us options outside of spirit and enigma

It didn't need nerfs before the season changes on nhd. Now with the buff from that, they could theoretically nerf it and it be fine, but it still seems pointless to do so. As I've said since it's inception: If you don't like it, don't play it. The existence of the build isn't making other builds any less effective, and it just creates more demand for items that previously were worthless, so it helps the economy of the game. "B-but then I'm going to feel obligated to play this instead of my dogshit build!" You weren't playing the meta build before with sorc/paladin, so this doesn't matter either. I will say though, I think a better design would have been putting the % chance on mosaic into the skill tree instead. It's too cheap for what it is, but at the same time, gating the ability to play Martial Arts at all behind multiple HRs also feels dumb. Basically no other specs are completely locked out of viability to play through the game without outside of MA. That's the bigger problem IMO. Should shift what Mosaic does into the skill tree, and then just make Mosaic a good high damage elemental claw that you'd want to build into, and make it cost more HRs.

I came to a lot of the same conclusions, its definitely overpowered. Immunties don't apply, you get Ice, Lighting, Fire and Physical all in 1 attack, with a built in life leech. Additional Skillers don't matter, because you don't even need all your skill points. Gear, other than mosiacs is pretty flexible, and even the mosaics are fairly cheap. Still, it flattens everything on Players 8. Including Ubers. You don't have to worry about extra gear for Open Wounds, Life Tap and Crushing Blow, you can destroy them just like everything else.

Why is cobra strike not worth using? Just because you go fists of fire? The leech quality of life seems so nice

Mosiac needs a nerf to the rune cost and you should only be able to build 1 type of charges aka phoenix buff the dmg on it heavily with synergies so you don't have a huge damage nerf but I also don't wanna have a seizure or crash every time there's an assassin in the game let them also reset the stacks based on hits so they can cycle what ever element they want with phoenix strike so it'll go 1-2-3-1 so they can adjust on the fly

i think 100% chance to maintain charges is kinda ridiculous but that's just me. if it is going to be 100% then there has to be some other significant trade off

playstyle is very cool, just drop dmg by like 5-10% until it feels less OP, simple solution that wont kill the build, blizzard sorc can farm the whole game with spirit, stealth, lore, ap which they get by the end of nightmare, this assassin build only functions with mosaics which is x2 mal x2 gul (which u will not get by the end of nightmare and also requires enigma)

they could add a line for the claw sayhing "claw skills only deal (40-60%) damage or something to nerf

the easiest nerf would be, that mosaic 50% chance isn't stackable... it's 50% no matter if you got one, or two weapons... That or if that inconsistent with other items mods -> percentages will be dropped to 30-35%... so you won't be able to get more than 60-70% chance... still will make this build viable, but much slower and less reliable

The build is fine as it is. No need to nerf it. We waited 22 years for a good MA build. We got one, now leave it alone!

naah, Coooley you're really wrong... High damage output builds aren't necessarily the best for levelling. The best builds for levelling are those that have both high mobility and excellent crowd control. This build here has NEITHER, although it's excellent for Ubers.

No no need to nerf disco sin. What other sin builds can they buff or build better on. Aside from pvp takes time to build the charges. While VT smite paladin kills sin in one hit imo.

That sucks, this is a build that would be amazing in the next gen of d2. I would love to see a new expansion with new runewords and builds like this

I would just make it more playable, 1 hard point into the skill gives 5% chance to not lose charges (eg 20 hard points removes the need for current way of mosaic) And then change mosaic to increase amount of concurrent skill charges available +1, so dual mosaic let u use 3 different skills charged up. Power stays relatively the same but there are options for more build diversity.

the only change i would like is to have a option to lower the blindness of the skills :D cos my god my eyes

Should not nerf since its for us casuals for PVM, especially since it does not effect PVP.

i say give more items upped effectes or add new runewords. the game has been good for what it was and still are. but 20+ years and still running strong- i think it would be healthy for the game to continue to add new stuff that enables more and more creative builds. i'm not talking about entering an era of diablo 3 where builds are doing billions of dmg and tons of items synergize, but people will continue to find ways to optimize and min/max builds. Maybe they should find more ways to add difficulty / scaling enemies to create more endgame possibilities.

Plz no nerf we finally have a melee build that owns pvm. In fact a melee build is now best in slot. 🥴 And I’m all for it.

I think they should Nerf Mosaic's on screen clutter and brightness... too much, cannot see 1/4 to 1/3 of the screen. The damage output is fine as is imho.
