That gumball episode is my favorite thing jackass ever did (I love it all) I felt like I was on the road trip with them lol seeing the (polish?) Hookers, the kid kicking jeff in the nuts, driving around the funeral procession. I just love it!
That really was a fun episode and that was my first exposure to the Gumball Rally which had its own insane cast of characters like Kim Schmitz and the two guys that dressed up like German police officers (the same ones that briefly held the record for fastest Cannonball Run here in the States), or that one guy with dreads that you could tell was on speed. Seeing all those high dollar cars was absolutely beautiful as well. What an episode.
I understand it’s his podcast, but Steve-O definitely takes the reins with every topic brought up and tell his own stories. You have a guest for a reason!
Johnny talks about this (kind of) on Hotones. The hosts asks Knoxville about his relationship with Steve-O; and this is what he said. "When we we all (the Jackass Crew) met him he drove everyone up the wall, you know because he's a lot (catching himself), you know he can be a lot... He's unshakeable. And he just grows on you. He knows he can be a lot. He's something else." Johnny Knoxville knows Steve-O's imperfections. Yet he loves him anyway. This my friends is the definition of love and friendship. And I agree with Sir Bedevere. Steve-O is just excited lol
I was more bummed about the music edits on the DVD collection. The original song from the London trek was “The Nobodies” by MM and when Pontius started cruising on the scooter at the Latvian border it was “Real American” by Rick Derringer. I have all the proof on a VCD (remember those?) somewhere on a spindle in the closet.
@@audiofiil Not sure which city it was but "The Nobodies" was somewhere in the original TV aired version and was swapped for the DVD collection. So were all the bits with Knoxville using crutches after his failed Snake River jump like "Squid Suit."
Gumball rally is my favorite thing the Jackass guys ever did. I used to laugh so hard watching it. When Steve o takes that fucking shopping cart down the stairs on that ferry oh boy lol
I loved watching the gumball rally, it’s one of my fav jackass things ever hahah bam n Dunn did a good one too! But Steve you should def do another one! Loved the content it was awesome!
My favorite part was when you poured a bag of chips on the Car seat and headbutted them, still makes me laugh to think of it. Also.. When you and Pontius were sitting back to back with you arms locked sitting in the back seat and Steve-o says something like, "Many have said that this next stunt is impossible..." then Steve-O Flips Pontius over his head. I can't imagine what you were actually going for but it makes me laugh to think of it...
I don't know these guys personally, so I'm not going to speak on their particular situation. But I did work in Hollywood for many years, and I can tell you one thing for sure. Almost every partnership has their friendship dissolve before their partnership does. I think you can see it pretty clearly with Rhett and Link, for example. When you get all that money and all that Fame and ego, it's very hard to maintain authentic relationships. With anyone. Having said that, age mellows just about everyone out. You live, you learn, you forgive, you let shit go. I'm sure they're still pretty close.
Ofc they aren’t I always saw Jackass as mini cliques. You have Knoxville & Tremaine. Steve-O & Chris, Dave & Ehren, CKY crew & then Wee-Man & Preston are kinda just there.
@@saulspeaks2557 I think it's the Penn and Teller thing. Where they made a business decision not hang around with each other outside work, as they know being around would eventually lead to them hating each other. I may be wrong, but I think the Jackass team have something similar. I don't think it would be as much a conscious decision as P&T, but I think they know that they would probably drive each other crazy if they hung out outside of work a lot. I also remember a Viva LaBam episode where Bam says he hadn't heard from Johnny in a year.
What you forgot to mention was you need a bit of privilege or you'll lose your car and be imprisoned indefinitely, in a foreign country. Not just "anyone" can enter gumball rally. You need a fair amount of privilege. Aka... Shit tons of money behind you.

I was at the finish line in LA when bam, Dunn, Vallely, hawk, etc were there! We became friends with team policia who won because they paid a limo to pick up max and drive him around in circles and drop him off late to the finish line or he would have won by default lmao. Sooo fucking fun!!
I am a zookeeper in chicago and I regularly feed the hippos day old sausages so they have a taste of their home. I put strings on the sausages and swing them around the hippos they get so mad at me and scream but it's an obsession sometimes the hippos try and break out of their cages but I keep swinging those hotdogs in wide circles over their heads. Luckily my boss doesn't know I do this or my coworkers
