Chris encouraging Steve-O to keep Lindsey's secrets, getting super stoked when he heard he landed the skate trick in front of Brad Pitt, always putting positive emphasis on everything Steve-O says. Such a wholesome and supportive man. 😭😭
Best friends man lol them too are differently the closes out of the group. They all are really but Steve o am chris just hit different when there around each other.
My fiancé is a flight attendant. She has met a lot of celebrities in 8 years. She says till this day that Steve-O was the nicest one she has met. Gary Busey was the strangest. Gary pointed at the desert as they flew over it and told my fiancé he used to surf all those waves.
My uncle was head of security at a night club in Panama City. He had to kick Steve-O out , I think a couple of times, for pulling stunts. He said even though Steve-O was a bit rowdy, he was also super nice. Of course, as a major Jackass fan, I lived for those stories.
I love how positive pontius is. Always happy! It actually warmed my heart when Steve-o told pontius he loved him and pontius had a huge smile. It was great
He has such an attractive personality and has been my favorite Jackass since the beginning. The two of them seem like the perfect hetero couple. I know the show was Viva La Bam but I have to day Viva La Wildboys!!!
I really love how Pontius excitingly waiting for an opportunity to tell Ellen’s story and was so ready to spill the tea like ‘I gotta get this out of my chest’ 😂😂😂😂
I met Brad Pitt at Chris Cornell's funeral and under those conditions, I can say that his vibe is absolutely genuine and within a minute of him introducing himself to myself and Ben Shepherd (Soundgarden's bassist), you could tell he was a real one. Such a polite guy. Also, I've been fortunate to work with the band DogStar recently and Keanu is for sure as nice as the internet says he is. Another celeb I've worked with that was amazing was Samuel Jackson. That guy is as cool as it gets.
@@justforfunvideohobby Funny you said that. When he made the Natas reference I immediately goggled Chris’s age cuz that’s a throwback. He’s 47 so that’s right in line.
That's how you know you have a good friend who was raised right and doesn't have self-esteem issues. The real ones don't feel like they are putting themselves down when they lift you up
Met Chris In Vegas when I was a young kid. He was such a nice guy gave me a hug lol. I idolized him and Steveo before this, but it took it to a new level. Always loved Chris for that.
I absolutely LOVE Pontuis. Obviously Steveo aswell, but Pontuis is the most genuinely nice, normal good dude. Someone you would love as a friend. You can tell he is so honest and just a real dude. You can see how happy he is when Steveo said I love you man. These two are legends and to be sober and still keeping us entertained, it's impressive. Much love!
I'm so glad Steve-O found sobriety, he's such a unique human and natural funny character and we need to keep people like him on the planet as long as possible.
im almost a year from drinking, and i can tell you he is not going to lose his sobriety either! that man loves the feeling of it! so we aint going to lose him!
@Astro Jenkins thanks man, yeah it just feels great, i was tired of hangovers and the taste of beer wasnt enjoyable anymore. but hey man if its only boredom that made you drink again just try to always remember what you did before you could drink! thats what helps me i remembered i skated and played video games so i went back to it lol! but thanks man hope lifes journey is the best for you too!
Me too he’s such a genuine and interesting human being. I can literally listen to him talk for hours even though his voice sounds like it’s a chore for him to talk haha
@Astro Jenkins keep it up ! You're doing the best you can. It's a battle everyday and you seem to recognize the beautiful benefits of sobriety. Keep on,keeping on! Just wanted to offer some support. 10+ years sober here. I had to take it one minute at a time, 1 hour, then a day, now it's like second nature. Good job my man!
Pontius is right about low-level celebs being the worst. I’ve worked in Vegas for 20 yrs & have waited on LOADS of famous people & athletes and the biggest celebs are usually the most chill. Reality stars & “influencers” are a mess!
@@raoulduke344 I waited on No Doubt and was too Starstruck to take payment. I didn’t even give them a bill. They just left and I paid $89 for their round of drinks hahahahahahaha oh well… I still love them! A year after that Blake Shelton and Miranda were in and he was so hammered he needed my help finding his way back to his table from the bathroom. And then two years later Gwen & Blake were in together as a couple. Kinda crazy
@@itsfunnybecauseitstrue3219 Brilliant mate. Gwen seems like she would be nice to talk to (Blake too). She probably said to him "I know a brilliant place to go here. Last time I was here I bought, like, $100 worth of drinks and they didn't even charge me. C'mon, I'll show you...", haha. What about the flip side? Who were the biggest arseholes?
@@raoulduke344 My husband worked on The Strip for a while and talked to a lot of the security guards. They said Lady Gaga was very sweet and polite. And she even would just perch up at the gambling tables dressed totally normal and talk to the people there. Same with Brittney Spears, they said she's very nice too. Very southern class. They all universally said Cher was the worst human being ever. One security guard told her "good evening" while she walked by, and she went to his boss and ordered him to be fired. This was apparently because she was adamant that none of the staff speak to her. And that wasn't' just some special outlier situation.
Steve-O has really opened my eyes when it comes to setting boundaries or cutting people out of my life. He really wore on his friends a few times, but they really stuck beside him. He’s doing SO well now, and I can’t help but think it’s because he had infallible friends. Cutting people off when they drain you has value, but sometimes, you need to just set boundaries and be there for your friend through the darkness.
100% facts people will drop you when they feel like youre becoming dead weight...but really some friends just need a helping hand to get on their feet and get their head straight. If everytime someone needed help and people bailed on them we would never progress as a species. So yes definitely Cutting people off can have its benefits, but helping some could benefit them even more...even save their life
There comes a point where tirelessly trying to help someone who is nothing but toxic to your life for years and years becomes hopeless. Always make an attempt to save your “friends”, but if they turn into something that is so negative to your life that it impacts your happiness, wellness, and progression, then it is time to think about letting them go.
I met Tony Hawk once at a punk/ska concert. He was SO kind, genuine, cool... I grew up really loving him so meeting him was just AWESOME. I'll never forget it.
Oh man, these two almost made me cry when Steve O say how much he loves Chris Pontius and how grateful he is for Chris to be there always on his worst moments and the smile of Chris, man what a friendship.
chris’ reaction was perfect too like he was shocked at how wholesome and genuine that was. to think back to that steve o in nitrous hell videos, and to come to this where steve o struggles to name one person who was unjustifiably mean to him, says a lot. i feel like there was a ripple in the timeline that spared us steve o for this underdog revival comeback story of success and survival. he couldnt died that day after that nitrous vid and we would just be left with a half finished story and whacky steve o injury compilations. so thanks matrix for giving us hope thru steve o as conduit
I hung out with Brad Pitt once in London at the premiere of "Snatch", and I concur, he is a very cool, normal, down to earth guy. I treated him like a normal person and he acted like a normal person. I was very impressed. I hope I get a chance to meet him again.
My grandmothers boyfriend Gary was a special effects tech on 12 Monkeys and he invited us on set one day when I was living with her and I got to meet Brad and Bruce when I was like 10. Brad literally went out of his way to say hi to me and learn my name because he could tell I was nervous. Bruce was nice, he shook my hand and gave me an autograph but wasnt really interested in mingling with people but Brad was the complete opposite. He was talking to everybody and having a good time. He really seems like an authentic human that can level with anybody. It's good to know there are stars like him out there.
@@squadgeman3247 that's so cool man. He was really able to level with you and get a little more comfortable than usual, I bet. One on one time with the one of the most famous people of all time is a rare occurrence, buddy. I know you'll never forget it!
@@daveaf5281 Yes, I'll never forget it. I hope I'll meet him again one day and see if he remembers. It was a very strange set of circumstances that put us in the same place at the same time that I'm sure he was just as surprised as me. It was almost like getting stuck in an elevator together for half an hour. The only down side of the whole incident is the amount of doubt I've received over the years from people when I told the story. What they don't understand is that at the end of the day, we are all human beings living our lives.
You can tell just how nice Steve-O is because even when he tells a story about another celeb being rude or mean, he will play it off to his own fault. He really doesn't want anyone to be disliked because of something he might have said.
Sweet how Chris goes as far to say that he didn't find Steve-o annoying period - just goes to show what a nice guy he is. Even Steve-o knows that he can be entirely annoying 😂
I got to meet Stevo a couple years ago and he is the nicest person ever. I was his server at the comedy club he was doing stand up for and I got to meet his dog and everything. He was so respectful he was super inspiring!
Agreed, I met him at his comedy show years ago and he was so nice. I just realized my profile photo for this account is the photo he took with me after the show lol.
I feel like Steve-O sells himself short. I once binged a bunch of Graham Bensinger’s interviews with Steve and was stunned. Super intelligent and way more emotional intelligence/insight than the average person. Definitely a success story.
The ending bit was touching, Steve-O seemed down on himself for a moment, apologizing to Pontius for being annoying and thanking him for being a true friend, and in response the entire team banded together to comfort him, explaining that they don’t think he’s annoying and that the need to entertain isn’t a bad thing, complimenting his ability as a host. It’s awesome that someone like Steve-O has an incredibly humble and apologetic side, and also awesome that he has friends there to support and build him back up when he is clearly feeling down.
Steve-o is the Keith Richards of comedy and stunts, the man should not be alive based on what he's ingested over the years and has subjected his body to in general. Loved how you and Chris just seem to talk to each other like best friends in high school meeting after like 10 years. My favorite episode yet
I actually liked it when Brad Pitt was in the monkey suit because you didn't think it was really him and he did all this wild stuff he couldn't do because he was famous. It was hilarious and a big surprise at the end when it was actually him.
@@jessejzcutter4291 Actually, thats the dopest thing you can do is to have a superstar and use him in an unconventional way like that. Then when people think it couldn't actually be, you give them the cameo
@@jessejzcutter4291 No, it was like how South Park had George Clooney do the gay dog's voice (just barking). These shows weren't about celebrity. So the reveal was cool but the point wasn't to be like, "hey, we have Brad Pitt in our movie." The point was "we're so out there, we have Brad Pitt in our movie and will hide him in a monkey suit." That's genius. And honestly, how many people thought to themselves, Jackass 2 would have been better if we saw more Brad Pitt?
The look of shock and like genuine appreciation on Chris's face as he starts to realize Steveo is directing the "I'm so grateful for you, dude.." statement towards him really made my night. That's some wholesome bro shit there
These 2 are the dynamic duo that I'll always love, it truly makes me happy to see how close the bond is after all these years and how genuine they really are much love and respect Steve-O and Chris! The Wild Boys! 💪🏻
Chris has always been the most chill, cool, laid back guy. Ever since their MTV Cribs episode I always thought that Chris knows what’s up. He knows what’s most important in life. Love him!
Still can’t believe i’m watching my growing up idols, sober, looking healthy, sharing anecdotes, from 20 years ago. Feels like yesterday to me. What a treat.
I love that Steve-O & Pontius expressed their love for each other because it’s so obvious in how they interact with each other, but it’s so important to say that out loud. That was just beautiful. I loved Wild Boys because they are wonderful friends and fun to watch because of their relationship.
I met rappers, Devin the Dude and Big Krit after their shows and both were so incredibly cool and appreciative of their fans. Dapped me up, took a picture, all smiles. Ya never forget moments like that!
I can confirm about Brad Pitt. I spent super bowl weekend with a friend who’s a guitarist that Steve Alan loved on his yacht in Tampa Bay. Besides our Party, Brad and his family were the only other guests. We went fishing on a huge fishing boat that actually comes out the back of the yacht. It was just me, my buddy and Brad. You would have thought you were hanging out with a plumber or something. Totally real, grounded dude.
It’s amazing watching this and understanding why we loved these guys so much as kids. They were an inspiration back then and they are an inspiration now. Life is all about Memories and you can tell they wouldn’t have traded it for the world.
Man, Steve-O and Chris seem like they're the nicest celebs around. They're so down to Earth and naturally make you wanna smile! Thanks for never letting ego go to your heads guys. 😁✌️🙂🙃
My drunk sister fell on you and grabbed you at the Punchline in Atlanta years ago and you were so gracious about it and still took pics with us after. You're a cool guy, thanks for that.
The Prince thing is not even Prince being a dick. That’s literally his sense of humor. He either leans into the mystery or is incredibly practical like throwing people into pools, $100,000 food fights, prank calling his relatives, inviting people places just to beat them at a video game or ping pong then disappear. Dude was _weirdly_ funny.
Yeah Prince absolutely loved pranks lol. Which is weird, because he seemed so serious all the time, but then you hear stories about him being a goofball
Steveo and Chris are a perfect pair! They've always been my favorite and I want to thank them for getting me through a rough time in my life with laughter! Love you guys and always will!!
They really are. Chris is so easy going and just let Steveo be Steveo and enjoyed and fed off it. That genuine connection and good times is what made that show even better.
I met Steve-O back in like 2000 something, we were the only ones at a club he performed in to bring a dvd with him in it and he let us backstage and Steve-O you are one of the coolest celebs I’ve met! Thanks for being awesome!
I usually don't care about famous people but watching Steve-O and seeing that he is healthy and has made it, this puts a smile on my face! Same goes for Chris, happy for the both of you.
@@Awesum I feel ya on the teeth thing. My teeth's condition causes me to be overly self-conscious. They definitely have a negative impact on my confidence level.
I absolutely love how Steve-O says how much he loves Chris and Chris just absolutely lights up because it means a lot. Such a sweet moment. Close friendships like that between manly dudes are awesome.
I feel like of everyone in the group, these two have the craziest stories/experiences together. I can't imagine the things they've done and only they know. They seem like such cool dudes to be around
These guys are legend. They are both so positive, and true. What you see is what you get with both of them. Man how cool would it be to have them as friends!!!
I was so in love with Chris Pontius. Almost every night from 4th grade to 7th grade my sister and I would sneak out of our bedrooms to watch jackass and wild boys. My parents never caught us. Pretty sure my sister even wrote a story about me getting married to Chris Pontius and her getting married to Steve-O a double wedding.
I worked at a resort that had a lot of celebrities come stay. The absolute nicest guy to everyone was Sir Anthony Hopkins. The number of stories of amazingly kind and thoughtful things he did every day was overwhelming. Seriously, he’s the guy we should all emulate. The saddest was Courtney Love. No big surprise, but I'm amazed she’s still alive considering the level of drug abuse I witnessed.
I think Chris' lack of recognition is a bit of a Hollywood advantage. It's probably refreshing for these big celebrities to interact with someone who doesn't already have a parasocial connection to them in their head.
@@backgroundmusik I've met a few celebs back in the day when I lived in LA and my approach was always to pretend like I had no idea who they were and chat with them like I would anyone else. It's the way to go for sure. If you put yourself in their shoes it's obvious why it works so well
@@Sixsoul this is one of the reasons I steer my hyper fixations towards characters and not the actors who play them. Know everything about a fictional character? You're a fan. Do the same with a person you're a stalker. Well, maybe 20 years ago at least. Now days people put everything out for all to see. Go watch Misery again and keep in mind she knew all about the guy's personal business pre internet... That takes some leg work.
Man I love the two so much. I’m so grateful I got to grow up seeing them just not take life so seriously and hearing these stories just makes it all the more real.
I was sitting here thinking how nice and genuine Chris seems as a person, and then come down to the comments and everyone else is thinking the same exact thing lol.
When I met you Steveo, you were absolutely lovely! I came to see your show in my home town, Melbourne Australia and waited in line for a photo with my sister for over an hour. I loved your commitment to getting a photo with everyone that lined up, although I was at the back and thought you’d be over it by the time I got to you, you weren’t. I made a sound when you showed me our photo (cos I didn’t like how I turned out) and you said “come here, we’ll do another one”. I thought that was really sweet and so kind of you. So the thank you for that, because not many people would do that, let alone take photos with fans for hours, you’re definitely one of a kind. Hoping you get back to Melbourne one day…..I would really love to see this new tour 😋👏🏼💜🤩💋🇦🇺✌🏼
