I feel Jon Richardson would be so glad that we watched this sketch and ever since use his little trick of adding a bit of water to a dirty pot and putting it back on the stove/in the oven and frequently ask each other "Did you Jon Richardson it?"

The whole sketch just never gets old no matter how many times I watch it

The dishwasher bit is so true. I've been doing it for like 10 years in my family and I complain about how everyone either is incapable of loading it or they load it incorrectly. And in a couple months I'm off to uni so they will all learn real quick I imagine when everything comes out dirty all the time.

I laughed but then remembered that I keep coming into work and seeing the big flat ladles we use for dishing out pizza sauce on the draining board _with the open bowl part facing UP_ and a little puddle of scummy water inside and then loads of others stacked the same way _on top_ so I just redo all the dishes and don't get me started on the industrial dishwasher in the back when there are more than five trays in it and they're not leaning the right way so the jets don't actually _hit anything they're meant to hit_ and we get the two spoons issue but with big greasy trays that recently held chicken fat

5:50 my wife did the exact same thing with a wooden spoon last week.

Gotta say this, my Wife (now ex) used to go psycho when I cooked, I would plan, clean as I went and sit down to eat with a nearly clean kitchen. My wife would cook, then tell me as she cooked, I clean, I’d eat and spend 2+ hours after cleaning.

I'm so so SO glad it's not just me that suffers a personal, deep-seated and wounding hurt in my soul when people just can't use a dishwasher as it is obviously designed to be used. Every time it's like another tiny little fleck of my humanity is eroded. Jon is the voice inside of me, I often wondered where it came from and now I know!...

Whoever is in charge of Jon's channel, please stop uploading *the same bits* so often. Overexposure to the same recording just becomes annoying. Cheers!

I’m coming back to live in the UK after living away for over 20yrs and watching Jon on stage is on my bucket list of things to do when I get back. He’s hilarious and his comedic delivery is on point.

Jon Richardson would be the ideal roommate, knows how to get things squeaky clean and his tangents are legendary!

Since my wife was the same, I now handle the washing-machine exclusively. It is fair enough, she does the cooking.

Jon, you are of course missing a trick in your dishwashing process. Now don't think I'm being too harsh on you, but, before I load the dishwasher, I set it off on a dry, or should it be wet run. Just to clean the drum, before I load up with all the dirty stuff. I use a similar process with the washing machine, where I set it off on a 30 minute cycle whilst empty. At least it all makes sense to me. OCD pals forever.

I watched this yesterday and it sealed the fate for the next day Whoever loaded the dishwasher last did it so horrendously that I had to rearrange everything and put it all back through again, and the entire time I was thinking of this

my housemate and i have this problem 😂 now shes learned to let me load it and she'll unload it.

I caught my old roommate put my wooden cutting board in the dishwasher after cutting vegetables on it. Needless to say I went bonkers. I moved out a week after that and swore to not let anyone touch my board again. What is it with people washing wood like ceramic

Dear Countdown Kid, please find some time to get in shape (unspecified shape, but you know what I mean, lol). Stop drinking or drink less for a couple of months until you improve your health a little. Run everyday and workout. You are kinda vegan but you don't look healthy. And you are only in your 40s. You look like a melting candle version of what you were. Don't take this the wrong way. Really want to see you improve your health and everything else will follow. The old John was more cheerful. It seems like something along the way got you down and you gave up on yourself. From what I have seen in similar people is that they will continue to do so, but hope that's not the case with you Jon.
