This is a huge issue for me. It's like the previous galaxy is a high end tv and the new s24 ultra is a low end tv. Keep us informed if you find out anything more. This screen quality is really upsetting. Instead of upgrading they downgraded us I wonder if anything else they downgraded that we still haven't noticed
My S23U display is more vibrant OMG and even its curve display is more elegant than this downgrade S24U Flat screen and washed out colors , samsung you did not improve , you downgraded it
People buy Samsung's smartphones mainly because of its display.. colour vibrancy/colour accuracy and colours on Samsung's display looks more vivid and life like... and it's true S24 Ultra's display looks dull and lifeless if you compare it with Samsung's previous flagship, midrange or budget devices.
100% as soon as I switched to the S24 from s23 I noticed it. The Clarify of the colors Got a Lot Worse, I hate hate that! I upgraded to s24 for a better phone experience. The display is EXTREMELY important for me as user. That's one of the MAIN parts of the experience of using the phone-> the display and it really Sucks! You would think Samsung would improve the phone NOT make it worse. Or keep certain things at least the SAME, not worse!!! I am very very disappointed with samsung right now. I went through a process to change my phone Mainly for the Better Overall experience. Wheather it's a software or hardware issue, doesn't matter for. Samsung should make the RIGHT 1st impression when they offer a phone. Not happening!!!
People want a fast charger and a cover inside the box and these guys (Samsung) give an anti reflection layer on the display.. I mean like seriously!!! Are these guys even listening in first place!?!
S24 ultara is a scam..you can not tell any differences either is 300 or 1000 bucks device looking at display..its just a big phone with useless ai features
Agreed! Just fired up my S24 Ultra today. At first, I didn't think much of it. However, the longer I've used the phone, the more I am bothered by the muted colors compared to the 23U.
Go watch a video side by side with your old galaxy and you'll realize it's a software issue. I've watched numerous videos with my s21 Ultra and s24 plus side by side and the plus looks stunning and better then the 21 Ultra. But when I look at icons and images on both screens (not video) the 24 plus looks muted and the toggle for natural and vivid does nothing in the settings. Go read the Forbes article. Samsung has acknowledged the problem and is working on a fix. The screen isn't broken. Although I definitely understand why people are not satisfied but give them a chance to fix it and if they don't then we'll all raise hell. 😂
Yup.. I have S22 Ultra and S24 Ultra.. and yeah, the S24 Ultra's display seems like it has a filter, all over the screen.. I've been using only Samsung phones since 2009 and this is the first time i regret buying a phone from them and seriously thinking about returning it and just getting the S23 Ultra or just keeping my money and the S22 Ultra!
These phones put me in the mind of the New Samsung frame Tvs, they now have the Anti Reflection Coating with make it look dimmer, but you will never know if you didn't have the older models besides it, im sticking with my 24ultra the best thing of 2024.
Wow, I know NL Tech showed Samsung reduced the DCI-P3 from 99% (all previous S phones) to 85%, but the screen darkening/tinting is HW, can't be fixed with software, no wonder why they downplayed the anit-reflective cr@p that no one asked for. It's as bad as the S20U camera autofocus which was also HW which couldn't be mitigated with software. This is bad. I'm going to return mine if they don't have the update within the return window and see if that resolves everything. Don't care about bonuses, they released a half baked phone again like the S20U and can't hide behind the covid scare when that was released...so bad, it was selling for as low as $650 on ebay new.
