When Lisa and Kevin Knofel took in foster daughter, Sabrina Zunich, they thought they had completed their family. However, a year and a half later, Sabrina Zunich did the unthinkable. Then, a lot more information would come out, and it would seem that Kevin Knoefel and Sabrina Zunich had a more involved relationship than people thought.

My cousin's granddaughter & grandson was in the apt where their mom was murdered. Granddaughter was 5 and grandson was 1 1/2 years old. They didn't witness it but when the girl woke up, she went into her mom's bedroom. There was a pillow over her so the girl pulled it off. Her mom's head fell forward. The girl went into her brother's room, somehow got him out of the crib and they went to a neighbor's and said she couldn't get her mom to wake up. She remembers that. I can't imagine what these girls are going to go through.

Sabrina, darlin', if you are doing this because someone manipulated you into doing it I would think three or four stabs would have been all that would have been necessary and would have satisfied the person who was doing the manipulating. But dearest, you stabbed her 178 times! That is not manipulation! That is dear old Sabrina wanting to make sure this woman is dead so you can step into her shoes and take over her life. Yep, you're young. So? All that means is that you're a young POS! Every time I watch a case as disturbing as this one where the bad guys are so terribly despicable, I find myself wondering if the defense attorneys rush out of the courtroom to take a shower to try to get the stench from their client off of them or are they so lacking in morals that it doesn't bother them to represent slime like this. I know that everyone is entitled to be represented but there is no way I would take a piece of trash like this as my client. I saw an attorney once who was forced by the judge to take a case like this but he talked his client into pleading guilty and then all of his time in trial was spent explaining why his client should receive a life sentence instead of being sentenced to death. With that being said, it could be the fact that people like this are so blinded by narcissism that they fail to really consider or accept a reality where they DONT get their way. Alot of them are brilliantly manipulative, but not so much rational. This is why alot of killers get caught (take Jeffrey Dahmer or Ed Kemper) for example. They get so caught up in their craft, so consumed by their abilities, that they get too cocky. Dahmer got to the point where he was taking the severed heads of his victims to work with him and storing them in his locker while he was on his shift. All it would have taken was someone to open it. A reaction to a parent's distress and pain is inevitable, it's hard wired into our nuerochemistry and endocrine system to recognise these sounds. Very few little children wouldn't end up with issues that manifest sooner or later like nightmares, flashbacks (even toddlers can experience these) and a shattered sense of safety. Youre comparing someone with a drug problem to someone who a) had a sexual relationship with a person in their care starting when the person in their care was 17 then b) manipulated said person in their care into killing his wife for him. Theres no contest.

This girl was born into a horrible situation and then on to foster care to a family where the "father" groomed her, sexually abused her, and then manipulated her into killing his wife. She was a CHILD, A MINOR. A disturbed one at that. I she guilty? Hell yes! The mother knew and blamed her. A mother who worked with SA survivors. We don't know anything about her ex husbands and her marriage, but it is touching in a way, when an ex spouse gives a statement like her exhusband did. He obviously still cared alot about her and made no distinction between the two sisters. It is so often marriages today leaves big wounds with divorce trials and custody battles. I found it touching to see that he was standing by her side and obvious was moved and sincerely sad.

I agree. In a world where I see less and less good men out there, it was very refreshing to see a good man who stood by his ex-wife like that…and I’m glad you noticed that he referred to them as simply sisters, that was a small but very sweet gesture. I totally agree! But I am glad to say that my ex-husband and I get along really well. We where married for nearly 25 years and have 3 kids. He had an affair, had one for nearly a year. He then decided he wanted a divorce. Broke my hart and yess I was not just hurt, but really, really angry. Thank God I past that, I could not hate the man I loved for so long. I hated what he had done!!!! But not the man. We have been divorced for 8 years now, and we get along great. Ooh, he did marry the woman he had the affair with. And yess, I get along with her as well. Holding on to hate does not get you anywhere!!! And we will always be connected cause of the kids. I would rather then get along, than show our children how to hate! And he will always have a place in my hart, and the kids never, never heard me say a bad word about their dad. The love him, who am I to ‘take’ that away from them!?! Their relationship with him is completely different to mine. We are all happy the way things are going now! And me, am happily single, loving it! One day, if I meet the right guy, yess I would happily have an relationship. Just not ‘run’ into him jet. So yess it is possible to have a good relationship with your ex!!!!!

I disagree. I don't think Lisa was bad per say but she didn't sound like a decent person altogether. A) she said he should be paying more attention to his "real" family. What was this Sabrina? Chopped liver? and B) if you think your HUSBAND is hitting on your CHILD you should to the point where you need to tell him to spend more time with the "real" family, I don't know, perhaps intervene maybe? Why was she attacking Sabrina and telling her to leave when she should've kicked her husband out on his ass and reported him to the police? Lisa obviously saw there was a problem here and she didn't address it. She didn't deserve to die but she obviously wasn't a saint. Fucking husband starts molesting his foster child and she throws the kid out. How's that big hearted?

@@exthechickenwing - Sabrina was a trouble kid -- teenage or not. Lisa was a social worker. She saw that her husband was spending an inappropriate amount of time with this teenager and instead of stepping up and saying "hey, cut that shit out, hubby of mine," she attacked the teenager. Sure, Sabrina could've spent time alone. I'm not debating that. I'm saying that Lisa had a moral responsibility to look out for the welfare of her ward. She's suspecting her hubby of inappropriate contact with a minor and her first response is "spend more time with your real family"? Come on. Lisa is trained in this area. She's a social worker, ffs. She saw what he was doing and her response was to kick the teenager out? What would've happened when the younger kids grew older? Would she have kicked them out too, as competition? It was just unfortunate that her hubby turned out to be that evil and deprived. Lisa didn't deserve to die but she wasn't a saint and "big hearted" either.

I just happen to come across this case, and it reminds me a lot of the recent incident/case that happened here in the Philippines just a month ago. This is the case of the Maguad siblings, who is kind enough to also welcome a teenager named Janice in their home who they thought is an orphan, treated her as their own, sadly she ended up killing the siblings. At first, she was considered a survivor. But upon further investigation she has been a person of interest, and later was arrested. This is very devastating. When all they just wanted, is to extend their love and home to someone who is struggling and all they will be repaid is betrayal and worst taking away a precious life. 💔

But you don't leave out one of the kids and include the shitty husband as a victim. What about the girl who had to call 911 about her sister stabbing her mom to death? This is my fourth time rewatching all of Mike's videos. They're so entertaining and you can tell he puts a lot of work into every video. Some people have a talent for this and some don't. Mike definitely has one hell of a talent. Never change Mike
