Poor Sam, he got through Afghanistan, only to be murdered by a crappy community theatre actor.

When he tried to laugh maniacally after claiming he did it because of insanity, I cringed so hard... That is the cheesiest attempt ever.

I don’t understand how/what for the ex fiancé got almost 3yrs in connection with this. In the audio from that phone call it seems like she genuinely didn’t know what he’d done and she seemed ready to bail on him immediately and tell the cops what she found out from his brother - it seems weird that she got almost 3 years, but the brother, who was actually involved after the fact and had been told what happened but didn’t go to the cops with that info only got 10 days.

I could feel the dads frustration, this close to saying "Jesus, lady" myself. He didn't stutter, he was clear as day, he said it several times!

His lack of acting skills became very apparent when he tried to be insane 🤦‍♂️

I have kids the same age as these guys…the fact that they found Sam‘s head on what would have been his 27th birthday has always just ripped my heart out for his parents. I feel so bad for Julie’s family as well, she did nothing to deserve that. Thank God Rachel was spared the torture of being married to this psycho!! I’m 100% sure that would have ended badly

I've heard about this case a lot, and it still makes me so unbelievably mad that Julie was murdered in this case. Obviously Sam did absolutely nothing to deserve his death, but Julie wasn't connected in the slightest to Daniel's and Rachel's plan. She was a completely innocent and disconnected party. It was so senseless and evil to murder her, simply to add to their misdirection.

Julie was literally killed for no reason whatsoever, there was no need to cover Sam’ s disappearance by pretending he was on the run. He could’ve just sent some fake texts saying he was off to Alaska or somewhere. I think Dan actually enjoyed the power of killing, probably would’ve done it again

Just watching him perform without anyone knowing he murdered two people earlier the same day, it’s just off putting.

Sam's dad Steven is one of the most amazing people I have ever seen in one of these horrible cases. He has been a strong voice for his son. His pain is visible when you see him talk about his son. No one should ever have to go through this hell.

The dispather when Sam's dad called was really calm and nice. What a class act. I've heard so many 911 calls where the dispatcher sounds rude and irritated and like they can't understand why someone would be upset and distressed

The girlfriend is a badass. When he's trying to get her to lie for him or "he's dead" and she just responds "babe, you're already dead"? Yeah, that's the right answer in that situation.

This one was a tough one to get through. Casually killing another person in the vague hope that it would PERHAPS help cover up another murder? Its just so soulless and difficult to imagine.

So, I checked out the blog that Mike mentions in this episode. Yes, I went down that rabbit hole so you don't have to! Only partly joking. Here's the scoop: the author of the blog is a chick who was the manager/one of the theater directors for the community theater where Wozniak was acting at the time of the murders. She knew him (barely) and decided to use this thin connection as a way to try to cash in on the murdering scum's story by way of a blog/ potential book. So she starts writing to him in prison and eventually starts visiting him there. While she throws in token expressions of sorrow for the victims and their families, she is a borderline death row groupie. Psychopath Wozniak is manipulating her and has her half believing that the ex-fiancé may have actually committed the second murder (Julie Kibuishi
