not really rare, every story quest has been peak since Fontaine and focuses on the actual character, except for maybe furina quest which was somewhat boring and more focused about the drama troupe
@@xiangzihuaye I was honestly thinking it'd go like this. Her friend dies, then because of their bond, her friend merges with her in order to help her, so that things like these never happen.
True neuvilette was a hydro dragon a sea creature, thats why he felt bad and sad at the same time on hiw people treats melusines, they didn't deserve it, melusines are cute and nice, also i really see neuvilette in them thats also the reason why i like neuvilette, he is fair to everyone also a kind one.
@@daneddieloayon2701 Neuvillette is just a reincarnation of the hydro dragon (so he technically is the hydro dragon). The melusines were made out of Elynas, but that doesn’t make them a reincarnation of him. They’re more like his children.
That's what i thought before i remembered that melusines only had a thumb and their hands has no fingers so yeah doesn't explain the fingers @@yutakakobayakawa9772
The lore on why she looks human, despite how dark it is, we know it's an excuse to make her look like the standard cute human like all other playable characters.
thats obvious you **** **** thats the reason they need to explain why Sigewinne looks like a human to make her playable, and the reason it prettty sad and convincing revolving the wish of the melusine to be accepted by the people of fontaine, thats the beauty of STORYWRITTING
I wouldn't say it's because they don't want to, even though there might be some truth to it, I think the reason lies more in difficulty of adding a new model to the game, because making stuff like that isn't as easy as some might think - it's implementing brand-new animations, making things work, and while it is possible of course, it is still time-consuming. But besides that, sure, they could do that and could make it work, but is it going to benefit them in the long-run, if they would use this special, exclusive "melusine body type" model or something like that only once, or twice, if they would decide on making a new Melusine playable? Even if Sigewinne is a cutie and I like her a lot, like most of Fontaine character, with all due respect, I don't think she's AS important, that they would need to implement a brand-new model exclusively for her
Why would the potion only change her face and how can the teacher know that's the result? Did Siegwinne ask for this, did she know what the potion does before drinking? Why can't the teacher just treat the child in her stead? I assume the teacher taught her medicine? If not, the teacher could've also tried going with her and vouching for her. There are many things that can be tried before going with such an extreme method that's irreversible for both of them. Maybe the story fleshes it out more, but right now I can't help but feel it's a lazy excuse for making her look human, and having it be such a sad story cheapens sad stories.
@@Sky-rw5vq the teacher obviously tried it on her self. As she said she experiments a lot. Also we could see odd scars on her face. This is just my thoughts
This is the sad fact that real, wonderful teacher will sacrifice anything. I'm not talking about your school teachers, but the random people in your life who truly love, care and teach you.
@@Chaos13289 she was already dissolving from unrelated experiments on herself with the primordial seawater, she just used it to sigewinne's advantage since she was going to die at that point anyway
@@angeldude101 you realize there is an actual IRL reference for Melusines right? Essentially its a french legend of a woman who was cursed to be half snake monster/sea creature every Sunday so she hid from her lover on the day it was supposed to happen then one day her lover saw her and she went full snake monster mode instead of being half human
@@Pokemaster-wg9gx Yes, actually! It was quite interesting to read. Not that related to Genshin's general interest in sea slugs, but interesting none the less.
There were only 3 ways this could have been explained: She was a half Melusine, meaning her father married a melusine Hoyo didn't want to bother making a new model and just used the default loli model Magic potion, pure and simple. Seems like they played safe, sad, but expected
What? Her father can't marry the Melusines, because he was the one who birthed the Melusines. Besides, if you've done Sigewinne's SQ, everything makes a perfect sense. The relation between Primordial Sea Water, the Sinthe and the Fontainian dissolved water after the great flood is finally explained.
@@ChristellaXaviera I meant that one of the options before the quest was that Her father was a Human and her mother was a Melusine, hence why she would be half melusine
@@wanabid98because of the origin of Melusine. Bruhh she already explained. Melusine race is of different origin they come from the remains of a dead dragon, they can't reproduced by themselves nor with any human. Please just understand Genshin lore
Melusines biologicamente não tem órgãos reprodutores e nem organismos semelhantes aos humanos (dito na missão de Elynas)... Então assim, se fosse isso, seria bizarro
the game: clearly targets cute characters enjoyers including loli enjoyers yall: dang i hate that they find ways to make lolis/cute small characters atp just realise you're not the target audience
Her story is so wild and sad and dark. Her story quest really made me like her as a character. Also it’s funny how this little psychopath is so good at manipulating people to get them to do what she wants loo
Imma be honest, if she looked like a normal melusine, I woulda gone for her to support non human characters. The characters are starting to get very samey
I'm gonna continue to assume some gigachad had the balls to do interspecies reviews across teyvat but couldn't pull out on time when doing it with a melusine because that sounds too funny
Animal-people are a result of breeding human with animal, and that's the lore accurate reason why we have people like Diona... So the first assumption was justified...
Literally where is that from. Diona's namecard description is "All who have Kätzlein blood will have such feline features. An ancient prank played by a certain someone, perhaps?" which implies something closer to a "curse" than what you're suggesting
Am I the only one who’s had enough of these boring repetitive sob stories..?🙄 Sigewinne as a creepy half-melusine who committed some serious crime was way more interesting. At least they could have made her a proper reformed criminal, but “went to prison for saving a dying child” is a tooth-rotting level of sickly sweet. I loved Sigewinne before they ruined her like this.
Nah you're not the only one. But personally I've had enough of these sob stories in the media in general. I remember when it was just Pixar doing it, but now everyone is doing them so it's gotten really old at this point and all I can do is roll my eyes every time I see them 😕🙄
That’s both sad and touching that the teacher would do that. My mind went somewhere darker: I figured her friend died and she somehow found a way to absorb the friend to keep her memory alive.
neuvillettes story quest made me really sad, his sadness over the events of the past tugging at his emotions and then seeing how those events have and an effect on the present made me want to cry. siegewinne's teacher sacraficing herself so that sige can save her human friend made we feel all kinda of hurt, the mistrust of the humans towards melusines and how she was determined to help her friend no matter if she broke the law was so wholesome and yet heartbreaking at the same time, when you realise that her teacher sacrificed herself so sige could save her frned but she didnt realise that really till centuries later is a differnt kinda heartache.
The most happiest characters always have the darkest stories "the happiest person will always mask their stories" "Why be mad when you can be happy?" "Because its unforgettable "You're making an excuse for yourself" "How?" "People always say that because its hard to forget, why remember if you know its gonna hurt you? Just live."
