I used to use this app and everything thing about this is true I used to make videos on there, luckily nothing bad happened to me, so glad the mother found out about the messages.
I never downloaded it but it seems risky… I’m not allowed to have TikTok because I’m not in high school yet, but now that I watch this, I get a better feeling about TikTok since it puts up options to keep accounts private.
Finally someone talked about it... The ads that this app has are genuinely disgusting and sometimes click baits children by advertising cool features and filters. There are so many stories of kids downloading this disgusting app which is full of adult things
As a person that used Likee this is true but that’s not how I experienced. I used to have it in 2016 then I had to delete it Because I think it was interpropaite. I got it back in 2020 because I wasn’t allowed to have tik tok. I had that app for a year. I enjoyed the app a little until they put me on parent control! And I had 23k on that account. On that app the updates were terrible. Likee is sickening and I’m so sorry for that little girl and the mother that experienced that. I’m so glad someone actually spoke about this. I hope the app gets Likee is banned. Edit: I just realized I spell inappropriate wrong my bad I always spell that word wrong for some reason 😭

I had the app in 2016 too! Don't have much memory of it. I had musically and the reason I downloaded Likee was because of one of my friends who wasn't allowed to have musically had Likee so I wanted to try it out.
Sameee I had it back in 2018-2019 and it was an amazing app I made lots of friends my age there I had 600 followers and always interacted with them I miss those days
I had a musically phase but I had Likee too because one of my friends who wasn't allowed to have musically had Likee. Tho didn't use Likee that much and thought it was a less good version of musically. I liked both apps tho , 2016 tingz lol
This made me remember a time where my little cousin was uploading videos on Likee for fun and a man who looked like he was on his twenties randomly texted her. At first she replied to him innocently, but as time went by he started to become more creepy- Sending hearts to her, asking if she had a boyfriend... Those things. She was 9 years old. Eventually, she told me and I confronted him, idk if he replied since I erased the conversation. But I was terrified back then.
Honestly, this issue should be talked about more and THIS is how you use a platform to raise awareness. This app is honestly scary and terrifying and the number of CREEPS AND PREDATORS on this app is horrifying. I feel scared for all the little kids on there

4:20 .. this happened to me by so many different old men when i was 10-11. when i finally tried ending things with one certain guy, he threatened to hurt me and my family. i blocked and he made many accounts trying to send nude pictures to my families accounts on instagram. i’m 13 now and i still haven’t told anyone. this can really scar someone so please please please be safe. the internet is a dark place. before this happened to me, i always thought that the child should have been smarter in that situation but you really do get manipulated.
I’m honestly so glad the someone could finally talk about this and aware everyone.I got that app when i had barley turned 8. Since I was so young I didn’t think anything about me posting videos or anything bad about it. But when many of my videos were uploaded I would get the most disturbing and frightening comments. Many of those comments would be like “ those legs are fantastic “ or “shake it more” or even “send me those pics ” btw im not joking about those comments so please don’t make fun of them. Another time some guys started sending disturbing pictures of his body parts or even worse he would send horrifying statements or threats towards me. But since I was so young then I didn’t know how to access the comment section or see messages from other users until one day my friends came over to my house and we decided to try and log in to our really old likee accounts. And once I got in and was able to go through it I was just so disgusted and horrified that I let that happened to me and I wish I knew that when was 8 and was aware. Now Im Just scared that guys could have any videos of me out in the public or anything. But everyone stay safe now and tysm anna for the awareness.
This is very true.. When I was around 12-11 I was on that app and had like 90k followers but they were mostly old men. They would dm me sending n*des or asking for them or try to groom me. I was young and dumb trying to talk to them untill they would ask for weird things. I regret getting that app.
As an eleven year old girl “Likee” it’s literally a copy from tiktok and I don’t understand why would u create an app like this when tiktok it’s already created and I downloaded it it’s 10% of different.
Finally I've had this app for a couple years now and I have been trying my best to warn others on the app to be careful. Along with all the dangers that were mentioned in the video there are also so many fake accounts that are made. Which is another way people manage to also gain others trust. I'm just glad it's finally being talked about thou overall 😭

I used this app once at 9 and deleted it after checking the comments of one of my videos, they were uncomfy. I didn’t do nothing inappropriate is the thing. I just lip synced a Adele song, rolling in the deep and used effects and had one video then left after. There was a grown man commenting, “message me if you wanna play” or “hey baby” and this grown women saying “hey cutie wanna chat?” Idk maybe I’m being over dramatic but uhhh no

no one should go thru things like that especially if your NINE YEARS OLD and just want to have some fun making videos. some man are just so frikin disgusting and it has never been okay. they think that making inappropriate and unnecessary comments about young girls will make them feel powerful or smth?! but what are they even doing with their life at this point? manipulating young children and giving them trauma for the rest of their lives is NOT okay. I remember I had this app I downloaded when I was 10 years old. I wasn’t allowed to have TikTok my mom said it was “dangerous” so I downloaded this. And about 1 year later when I was 11 I checked my dms and someone sent me a d pick. I was debating on showing my mom and then agreed to do so. She wasn’t mad about me but I suggest parents to not let their children download that app it’s very dangerous and besides my expirence I’ve seen other creeps creeping on children on this app in their comments. And I have TikTok now.
i used to have likee in 6th grade and got lots of messages from older men but deleted the app completely from how much they bothered my 6th grade bf at the time, and now that 5 years pasted and i grew up i seem how i could've been taken advantage of if i was more clueless, happy nothing happened to be but the kids that are i feel so bad and hope the app shut down soon
I used the app when I was about ten. Never posted videos of my face, just put them in my drafts. Recently was re-downloaded the app to watch a friends video she wanted me to watch and decided to check out my old accounts. LIKEE had leaked nearly all of my drafts with my face, and since I forgot the password I STILL can't take them down. Im also not allowed to have my face online so I freaked out since I know of the dangers of social media.
As someone who used this app since I was wasn't able to get TikTok, I've been sexualized by dancing, then that same person asked me where I lived and asked for pictures of me and even said he'd kill my family. I'm 14

I used to have the app likee a long time ago like YEARS ago. I had no idea at the time how bad the app was, since I was young, and how if it posted the wrong things like my last name, address, or anything personal something horrible might have just happened. It was one of those situations where I wasn’t allowed to have tiktok so I got that instead. My mom for the longest time didn’t know what I was posting or that I even had the app. I was on the grind though, I posted at least 5x almost every single day. Not only did I become follow and like hungry but I also just found it fun. I didn’t see any problems or anything inappropriate about the things I was posting as usually it was just me lip singing songs and doing dances with my friends. As I started to grow a little I began to be more comfortable filming these short videos in front of my family and not so close friends. One day we had a pool party at my house for the cheer team that my sister and I was on at the time, plus most of the team was our friends anyways. I filmed videos with all of them in our swimsuits (and no that’s not wrong in any way but of course some people had to look at these young girls inappropriately) we did dances and just had fun. After filming and posting some I got off my phone to swim some more but when I opened the app a few days later, my account blew up. One of the videos had hundreds of though sands of views and a lot of likes. Not only this but other videos were gaining attention aswell. My followers grew from 300 to almost 20 thousand without a weekend. This made me so happy, of course I didn’t know it was all child pr*dat*rs (idk if I need to * stuff sorry lol) A few days later my mom gained knowledge of this all and how I had blown up so she took my phone and started going through it. I was confused but when she gave it back I saw she had deleted all the videos and the entire account itself then deleted the app. I didn’t understand why or what I did wrong. I asked her and she explained to me that what these men were commenting was horrible especially for a girl so young. I saw comments before she did this but I didn’t know what any of it meant. I won’t get into to much detail with the comments and the bad stuff but I can remember seeing some of people saying for me to wear short skirts and shake my butt more for the old men. That’s just fricked up at that point. I’m happy things happened the way they did though and now I know the dangers and what to post and what not to because of predatory behavior. When I used Likee, there WAS a age verification setting. I'm not sure if it's still in place or whatever, but yeah. I couldn't go live because I was only like 16 or 17 at the time. When I first started using Likee yes there were constantly kids popping up on my feed, which made me VERY uncomfortable because I had put in my age, and interests, but their were still children popping up on my feed. But after a while I started seeing their videos less and less, which I was happy about. I saw it as an innocent app that was similar to TikTok, I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes. I am so shook right now.
i downloaded the app when i was seven and i got really really disgusting messages from random people and i reported the app but they didnt do anything. then i got a message from the actual app as a notif that said "if you look into this eye in 5 seconds your eyes will start bleeding" i got really scared but i didnt really care about it. i got weird messages like 24/7 and after a while my mom found out and got really mad at me. im sooo lucky and happy that someone brought this up. so thank you so much anna!
I used to have this app… and there was some creepy sh** like. After making my first video a lot of old men starting messaging me saying “let me see you” “I loved your video.. show me some stuff” with a winky face. (I was wearing a tank top and shorts in the video) and I told them to stop. And I got scared and told my mom. And she told me to block them…so I did and I went back on LIKEE and found a nice girl. I was kinda skeptical after “she” started sending me inappropriate pictures of themselves…. Yeah, I agree that LIKEE is a TERRIBLE app :/
I am pretty young so I’m considered a kid last year my friend told me her sister posted a video of her with no top on and it never got taken down so glad people talk about this so I don’t fall in these traps either

Yeah. I remember whenever a lot of people were saying that TikTok was unsafe for kids because they could get kidnapped or something like that, so I deleted it and instead used likee for a while
I remember this app, me and my brothers used to use the effects to act like we had powers when we were little. That was until my eldest brother told me about likee being so dangerous some people could even track your location.
I used to have this app. I was 11 and was almost manipulated into sending photos. I realized this is not right and I deleted the app, later I reinstalled it and got harassed. I haven't had it since. Please stay safe.

As a person who used likee here's my experience. I joined likee as at the time tiktok was gonna be banned, basically I joined before the creepy people. I left likee after Tiktok was finally not gonna be banned and deleted my account. Now watching this video I'm just disgusted on what the app became, it had alot of potential.
I used to use likee all the time and I have seen a lot of drama happen, for example, there was this guy named Willy or something like that and he kept making a bunch of insensitive jokes so one of them was the world with you [picture of world]and the world without you [picture of world] while it was suicide prevention month and anyone who said anything bad about him would be blocked and a bunch of the bigger creators on likee were speaking out about this, I know it didn’t sound that bad but everyone on likee knew about it, he was also very sexist I have a lot of other stories but yeah
Thank you for touching on this topic it is sad what has happened to young girls. I actually downloaded this app to make videos when I wasn't allowed to have tiktok. Luckly I never had any weirdos comment at me. Most of the comments seemed like robots. I thought this because they would comment bot things like "wow *my username* you make great content!" I would respond and get nothing back.
I used to have likee when I was 8-9 years old (a while ago) immediately I saw other kids MY AGE posting inappropriate content (which their parents where in) saying things “I’m going to f*** ur girlfriend dad” and other things along the lines of which kids at the time should not have been talking about. There were so many inappropriate things that I could not even use the app after one day because of all the weird and uncomfortable things I was seeing as a child. I truly think this app is horrible.
i used to have this app when i was 9 or 10. this weirdo sent me some very inappropriate pictures for someone my age and even asked me to meet him somewhere. luckily i was educated well enough on internet safety i blocked him immediately so nothing else would happen.

Back in November I had Instagram and it was going pretty nothing bad happened till one day I got a message from someone and I had some online friends which I now know was a horrible idea the guy became a good friend of mine said we were the same age but it was all a lie he would constantly ask to date me no matter how many times I said no then asked to meet me I said no many times till he tried paying me I kept saying no and went to my parents and told them the situation and it went on for a month I was honestly terrified when I found out his real age turns out he was 5 years older than me so don’t trust strangers online no matter who you think they might be

I used to have likee when I was younger. As I spent more time on it, I noticed that the app was getting more and more suspicious. And especially from the notifications I was getting, they pop up on my phone ALL THE TIME. I did also notice that some people weren't the actual influencers.... scary
I had this app and I actually made videos on there. Idrk but if I remember correctly like grown men were saying kinda crazy stuff but I ignored it. It’s really sad how ppl would do this to young kids.
Yes this is completely true. For a while I used to have likee and stumbled across two young girls lives. There were men in the comments saying "take off your pants" "lift your short up with no bra" I kept telling the girls not too and reporting the old men but that did nothing. That app is disgusting and likee needs to take precaution to this issue.
I'm glad I saw this video. this video reminded me that I had an old likee account. I was scared that I wasn't going to be able to get into it, but I thankfully did. I had a bunch of old, cringe videos. luckily, the comments were simply people telling me "great performance" or "good job" (because the old videos were me dancing with effects or sum). i deleted all my videos, changed my profile picture to a black screen, and changed my username to "thisappisbad" then I submitted a delete request of which the account will be deleted in a few days. thank you so much!

Me and my friends used this app when we were 12 and when we got comments it was just the same comments from random girls like “can’t stop watching” or “love your vids” and similar things over and over so it seemed fake, I also remember some man asked my age, where I’m from and to send a selfie of my self so I just blocked him
I didn’t really experience anything scary on the app tho I just remember me and my friends making likee vids and just having a laugh but the app doesn’t really have safety and is basically a copy cat version of TikTok so I deleted the app

of course we have to put blame on apps for not for being safe. but it’s also important for parents to take accountability for their irresponsibility in keeping their own children safe. There is no excuse for letting your child download an app like this. why kids so young are allowed to have free rein on the internet is beyond me. It’s sick to see young children in these types of situations when it could have been prevented.
You are right but at the same time it is the apps fault for not filtering anything and having guys over 40 being able to be on there being creepy to many young girls and boys
@@sxphsvids1204 yeah i mean that’s obvious the app is creepy. but allowing your child on the internet without supervision is ridiculous at this point. Even apps like roblox has become a breathing ground for pedophiles. parents need to be more mindful because the majority of apps regardless of the censorship or if it’s aimed towards kids or not. At the end of the day it’s still in the internet and there are some sick people out there willing to exploit children including the owners of these apps.
