What I a particularly enjoyed about this interview was Ian McGilchrist so beautifully exemplifying the "betweenness" of wisdom and compassion.

An excellent and very important discussion. I can't help musing that the present political Left and the present political Right seem to match the Left and Right hemispheres and the way they are playing out in the world today.

This was such a lovely conversation, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do myself, think people need to discuss the concept of Death more vigorously so as not to be so overwhelmed by it that they do not live their current lives without that fear. It's very debilitating to be so constrained by the thoughts of 'death'. It actually prevents one taking any type of risks in life which are necessary sometimes in order to break through old ways of being. Iain has become my absolute 'go to' to listen to in 2021 as I write this and after the enormously changing year of 2020 when everyone was called to attention on at least SOME level. It feels like an Awakening. Many thanks for this interview.

Thank-you, thank-you for this great interview. I have McGilchrist's book 'The Master and His Emissary' and it is great to have the parallels with Buddhism explored in this way.

I feel like these concepts require a formula 1 brain and I’ve got a Renault Clio - but still enjoying attempting to “get” some of it!

What an inspiring interview. Can't wait to delve deeper into the book. It brings so much possibility to change in the approach and thinking to other areas of the world. Science and medicine being a clear example. It is reassuring that people like Iain are out there enabling connections and inspiration with (Western) Buddhism to Western people. Thank you all x🙏

I often think about the right and left brain activity in myself and in others. Great to see it discussed so clearly and articulately, thank you.

So therefore he does not believe in a personal God. Indeed, this would suggest that the Cosmos is an unknowable process not an immediate relationship with each individual. It does come across to me as rather vague waffle.
