The Divine Comedy live at The Palladium 

I've recently re-discovered The Divine Comedy. In my opinion, Neil is one of the most talented performers alive today... very well crafted pop music!

A cool thing those watching might like to know from someone who was there that night is that The Booklovers was also performed, and Cillian Murphy came on stage to read a bit from his favourite book. My memory has faded but The Ginger Man by J. P. Donleavy rings a bell.

Musically and lyrically, I doubt that it gets better than this sublime performance.

Perfect antidote to having to listen to capitol fm at work all day. :)

Listening 2021 during second COVID Lockdown!! Neil is just a genius! .... this music is just GOLD!

I was at this performance and it was incredible... but a sad omission from the recording was when Cillian Murphy came out and read an extract from his favourite book to the instrumental The Booklovers....

True art, the first time I have seen him or heard him live Brilliant, wonderful and incredible moving I would have loved to be there

And so many good songs since this date too...Just discovering/buying up some of Neil Hannon's back catalogue after 20 years away... some corkers on Victory for the Comic Muse and Foreverland... and a new album is out on 7th June and the DC are touring again this year.
