Season characters start at zero?? That sucks! Not going to do that.

Boss: After the Heartland mess, we need some better ideas! Suit 1: Gear re-farming Suit 2: Copy Diablo Cpt. Obvious: New city and new raids (Boss kicks Cpt. Obvious out the window)

Game play modifiers? no Season level 1 character? No Engaging activities? No Climax mission with master difficulty? Hell no

They gotta do something about stash space with new stuff. I think a great idea would be if they made a custom crafting library, where you can save a specific weapon with its rolls and expertise lvl, by deconstructing it, and u can re-craft it again by donating materials.

Same, I will not be continuing. Not having to constantly re level in new seasons was what kept me playing. I will be dropping out from now on since they are just going to follow what ever other game does now.

I’m going to pass. I don’t like being incentivized to play with other people. It sounds like they want to focus on the multiplayer element. I think that’s a good thing for extending the game life. It’s just not for me personally. I ran countdown a few times and everyone just rushed and humped all the npc’s in melee range with their tank builds. It was body blocking my shots. Never went back to countdown again. Playing with other people lessens the experience for me xD

"Skip the seasonal thing" - means stopping playing the game. Because basically seasons, that was the reason why people kept logging into the game. Still, we don't get new game modes often, plus they're pretty repetitive. So staying in the game makes sense only for the most stubborn players.

you play the game once every 6 months, thats why you like seasonal characters. a casual temporary experience for casual temporary players

No interest in grinding my gear and exotics all over again each season … I don’t have the time to do that each season … another reason to walk away …

Wtf ?! Seasonal characters?! That's the WORST thing in gaming industry. Seasons in POE? Seasons in Diablo? Now Seasons in Division ?! Allways losing months of progress just to start from ZERO each 3 months?! And only seasonal characters have access to new game mods, modifiers, season oasses etc ?! Ive been with Division since day 1. But this is the final nail in the coffin. Im out for good !!! The First Descendant, here I come !!!

Sesonal charakters dont fit in division 2 imo if i wanr to redo everything ill play poe or d4 ... i want a main charakter do everything with him and get vetter gear on him and dont make another char every time

find it very interesting that a significant portion of the player base for this game is extremely negative to these changes but 100% of the content creators are positive. i guess we know who the focus group was for what changes to make to drag this game on for the next 4 years...

I didnt got my twitch drop masks, it says 80% for the 1st mask and 60% for the 2nd but i watched the full 30min, what could i do?

this is the whole reason why i stopped playing diablo 4, having to re do a new character every season, to the point my first character has not been touched since launch basically a redundant character with excess gold and items i cant use in a new season, so basically for the division, 3 characters ive levelled to 40 are going to be in the same state redundant because why play them when i cant access the new season

Sorry Widdz, I don't agree with you. We've all got toons, years old. With maxed stat gear and builds. And this change now means we have to start again from zero. Level 1, no access to our gear. And I have no idea what happens to SHD level! Does that get reset too?! This is a good change for newbies, but bad change to veterans. Which is the majority of the player base.

Seasonal Characters are a complete reset, on hundreds and thousands of hours. Just to play an hour of manhunt content, and we’re still forced to wait for the next parts of the manhunt.

A TD3 would make a lot more sense, but seasonal characters on a game that you customize your OWN character is one big foul-up...

Most of what I heard sounds fine from the stream. However, I feel a majority of the playerbase feels the same about the whole seasonal characters crap. That's a cheap way to try to make things feel difficult or 'entertaining.' We've spent so much time making our characters the way they are...why on earth would we want to start over EVERY season? That's just...dumb. Like really REALLY dumb. I know we are not losing our mains but...I want to play my MAIN through the story...not some fresh alt. Bad design. Bad idea. It will kill the playerbase.

What made the division so good was the darkzone. They killed that with rogue 2.0 and carrying that to division 2. The biggest fumble in gaming history. The dark zone could’ve been the place for those who didn’t like br’s.

Someone please help: how do you start The Rabbit Hole side mission and "investigate the network"? I haven't seen any arrows or been able to interact with any icons to start this.

Seasonal character is like that time Destiny 2 do sunseting. Then they have to sunset the sunseting.

I don't agree with the seasonal character thing because getting the best armor and weapon builds is already a grind itself.

I never played those manhunts unless a skill lock was included. So maybe these new seasons will actually be enticing in someway.

"Raids will be meaningful because you want to refarm your gear" Who the fuck wants to waste their time farming again and again an item they already have? If someone wants to do the raid again, they can simply do it 🤷🏻‍♂️

The answer to stale builds and gear is not to have us create new seasonal characters to farm the same stake gear … that is the laziest solution to the problem … they should rebalance weapons and create new gear and skills … the team clearly is getting scaled back and they are trying to find easy cheap no effort actions to undertake so they can claim they are making bold changes when they are clearly not

5:02 Starts with level 1. I swear if they start to do what diablo does i will not care about seasons anymore. I stopped playing 4 purely cause this idea is just dumb from a player perspective that doesn't have 8-9 or more hours a day to play. The reason i loved it was i can just do a season with my existing agent and don't have to start anew every couple months

The reason why Stryker sits on top is because the devs have not allowed us to have anything as good as strikers since. If the developers actually gave us decent loot we would have better stuff to use other than stuff for 3 4 years ago

They need to focus on making Div 3 imo, the seasonal system should have been there day one, I mean 5 years later a revamp…well we will see

lmao changes say weekly instead of monthly for manhunt stuff, but ingame each one is still 3 weeks apart which means its still monthly

I don’t get why people ask for even harder content all you’re doing is shooting at someone even longer. So I’m going from shooting for 15 mins in legendary to 45 minutes of shooting one guy now? 🙄 waste of time

Check this out Division 2 year 6 is all about $$$. Deleting world tiers and an entire gear platform (gear score 100-500) cuts maintenance, server space, and even number of "fixes" required when there is a problem. New manhunts equal significant increase in players which equals server space. Seasonal characters with no stash or backpack will prevent the need for this server space when more players log in. Div 2 is going into auto pilot and they are cutting back on resources not changing the game for player enjoyment. Last manhunt did not

Although I agree with you that the current season system is doodoo and that Seasons 2.0 could be a good change to make the game far more engaging, I still feel pretty mixed about the seasonal character thing. I don't know if you played during Year 4 and 5, but the developers got pretty aggresive with how they wanted to increase 'player engagement' (i.e. spend more time and money in the game) by adding a ton of grindy systems (leveling expertise, weapon grades and the grind necessary for exotic components, reduced XP for previous activities (like resource convoys and nerfing stuff like Summit Level 10 farming), as well as making their microtransactions far more frequent and more expensive (they previously released a $30 USD time limited Hunter outfit and they got a ton of flak from the community!); it gives me the impression that the devs only want to inflate player times without having to do too much work from their side. Still, I'm cautiously optimistic about how Massive implements their Seasons 2.0 system; I don't have such a strong negative opinion about it as the rest of the comments, but I'm still pretty mixed overall. What I'm sure though is that if Massive doesn't implement this right, I'm finally going to take a long break from this game after playing for 5 (almost) uninterrupted years!

Well thats because it isn't, its just a massive time waster that favours the ones that have a shitload of time to play Unless they give you some really special bonuses that REALLY change the game. Like much much much faster and stronger xp gain. Garanted exotic caches that either let you choose the exotic you want or give you every exotic in a section that you choose without copies. One cache gives you scorpio and another gives you another shotgun that isn't the Scorpio. If its like 3 or 4 with minimal xp boost, its a wasted time amd potential

they leak the Brooklyn map in steam

Maybe the devs should have reset the watch to start over I get it better rewards I get that maybe they should have creates a dz watch once you enter the dz it disabled the watch or revamp our existing watch

You lost me on 7:05 . I understand what you're saying but in all honesty I don't wanna refarm all of my unicorns and those brand sets or gear sets that apparently I wasn't around during the seasons. There's too much going in life and If i have to sit there to farm all that shit again oh hell no.

Delta 03 has made this unplayable for years, now I've been introduced to Mike 01 I was tying to get away from Destiny 2 but realize nothing is on that level

I'm not so hyped for it anymore. I might try out the new changes, but the game needs to focus on mechanics and combat-dynamic abilities from NPC and players. The bullet sponges is still a bad thing with builds saying "INFINITE AMMO 5000 BULLETS INTO BOSS LMAO" is bad. I want more class-based tactical combat. The things that made Div1 bad where players just running around in circles and autistic screaming while 2000RPM sounds roar is coming back to Div2.

I've never heard a worse argument for seasonal characters before in my life. How many gear sets are there? How many weapons are there? High-end, exotic, green gear sets, etc and so on. I have played numerous games with grinding and rng in it and division 2 has the single most terrible in all of those. the amount of resources required for the crafting table and recal are insane. I've already handed over my clan to someone else. With The First Descendants and Once Human coming out, there is NO reason to keep playing this dead game.

Best part about this game was NOT having seasonal BS to re level. Completely dumb. I tolerate it with Diablo cuz the game released like that and I knew what I was getting into... changing this after 5 years is a horrible choice, may never log back in

Make the game feel more alive again? Are you hearing yourself mate? THERE'S NOTHING NEW TO DO but to grind to the usual seasonal content just like before the only difference is that your hard earned gears will be locked out to giveway for the seasonal character. This doesn't make any sense at all, you are very much aware how time consuming grinding through the specific gears that you want and devs would put us back to level 1? Do the same usual thing that we do for over 6 bloody years and you call that a good thing?

Of course it doesn't make sense, the developers need to give us better gear not worst gear that's the problem here. Strikers have been sitting on top because the developers have not gave us anything better than strikers since then!

New season will be worthless for pvp unless it also manages to shake up the lamest conflict meta ever on Playstation. 3 Bunk builds, foam and determined popshot with sharpshooter drone. Makes the Div 1 Last Stand meta of Nomad, Predator mark and DeadEye seem cool in comparison. Also the mortar and the fire sticky trash.

Seasonal stuff sounds pretty good to me! I'm not a farming junkie, so everyone getting leveled off with new little story to experience sounds pretty good. And then we still keep whatever end-ish game we get off of temp chars.

I appreciate you giving your honest take on seasonal characters. All I’ve seen on Reddit is complaints about that idea, and my first impression is excitement for this as I love leveling up and finding new loot. Do you know if the newly leveled character will be our fifth or will we have to delete an existing character?

Fully agreed with you. What is a looter shooter without looting stuff. I usually like to restart new character from the beginning to feel this excitation to loot stuff and look what I get. This is the fundamental thing to do in a looter shooter. And you will not loose your main character so what is the problem exactly ? Just for info I'm player day one Div 1 with more than 4000h on both games. Thx again for your video and your contents 🙏
