Since I wasnt happy with the first video I did, enjoy this one that goes more in detail with updated info and better structured! build in video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_dEiwQcHEa8.html
in Diablo - each seasons = New end game, new mechanics, new acitivites, new Bosses , new gear , and its work , but here "game modifires" for the same f.. misions ??over and over It will be a flop - end of division 2
I am an old timer now, with 56 years of age. I have played The Division 2 more than 2,600 hours since I am a disabled veteran and I am home all day. So....There is absolutely NO other game that has given me more enjoyment for the money than this game. I am looking forward for the changes and even though I own more than 250 games this is the one I always play the most.
So, basically, now we do some activities with our max main characters. And when this 2.0 season comes we gonna do the same thing but with a weaker character. Great ...
My guess is they're trying to make it like how doing WONY in story mode was because no matter how good you were there was a high chance of dying because our gear was weak. The shit still sucks though.
that's basically the take away I got too. question is what is shared and how they handle the details, but that is what they are going through with come hell or high water.
But whats the point of seasonal characters really? We're going to repeat the same content we've had for years, it's still going to be manhunts, new exotics or sets, whats the point of starting over to play the same thing? And why are they commiting to forcing everyone to play a new character just to end up going back to the mains for Master difficulty? cmon
Introducing seasonal characters just shows the lack of creativity and innovation on their side. 5 years down the drain and the 'oh b-but there'll still be activities for the mains' is just pure copium to anyone who thinks this is okay. In two years they added nothing but new missions in form of final Manhunt encounters. The game is so lackluster on content that it shows in desperation (and greed) they turned to seasonal characters. The only fix for this is to let anyone who wants a seasonal character to make one and anyone who doesn't to not, and both having access to same amount of content. But people will cry and say 'b-but muh season, muh new stuff c-cause-', no, shut up, get some help. Diablo made mains borderline pointless. So will this.
Well said brotha..I just got back into the game 3 months ago..and there chasing me away for the second time...because they don't listen to the community
in Diablo - each seasons = New end game, new mechanics, new acitivites, new Bosses , new gear , and its work but here "game modifires" for the same f.. misions ?? It will be a flop - end of division 2
12:13 What you mentioned is actually quite a good point! As someone who does love playing Div 1 Survival, Div 2 Hardcore characters, Descent (even with it's current Talent Pool nerf!) and even had an almost min-maxed Level 30 character before the changes added with this season, I understood that none of these ways to play the game could become as popular when you consider how bad the rewards are for your main character, the character that you use for everything else in the game! Add into that there's not that many MEANINGFUL end-game activities (such as legendary strongholds, raids, incursion, even Invaded DZ for PvP if you're into that sorth of thing) that can justify farming more stuff for your main character after Seasons 2.0 drop and that's when you realize why so many people are so pissed off right now! I just hope that the dev team doesn't screw up with this system (I'm not holding my breath for that unfortunately).
seasonal character should be an option, NOT mandatory!!! The seasons are dull, same old shit over and over again, so get it done as fast as possible to get the gear, which is probably shit anyway these days and then get back to the DZ !!!!
Seasons 2.0 will increase player count as well as player retention and that is an absolute fact. Most people only log on for a few hours to do seasonal missions, then get off because there just isn't anything else to grind or do.
I'm bored with the game. I love my character. I play to get cool gear and once you get all the cool gear the game gets slow....I spent a lot of time to get over 2000 SHD and I am not excited to do seasonal characters. I am all about Div 3 and will suffer for the time being.
I feel like every content creator thinks the community misinformed. They are not. We know what seasonal characters mean. We know our main is not going away. We know that we have to use a new fresh alt to play the same missions. Again...if we want to start a new character for a new season...we can do that right now. You do not need to FORCE it onto others to enjoy brand new content. Still a brain dead idea. Those saying "Diablo does it and it works." Diablo was designed with that in mind. It has classes and all. Also, I disliked the Diablo model so I quit playing that game. If you like Diablo then go play Diablo. This is not Diablo. I played Division 2 because it did NOT do that. Now they want to introduce it to players who clearly do not like the idea.
Greetings! I quit the game years ago but came back for the seasonal feature. I made a level 1 character, unlocked the base, and had all the items from my main in the stash. I don't get it. How do you create a seasonal character? In Diablo, it is pretty clear on the character creation screen. Thanks for the help, folks, and the great informational video, bud.
I really don’t like the idea of seasonal characters and the new seasonal content being locked to them if I’m honest. I’m going to reserve judgment until I’ve tried it though. Trouble for them is if I don’t like it, I just won’t play the new seasons, which means I will stop buying the season passes. I wonder if they’ve though about this as a potential problem
I think they took a look at engagement numbers. Realized that people log in the first week of a season. Blast through the pass. Then log in once a month for the manhunts. Everyone really wants to have a Y6 of this shit huh? I'm here till the wheels fall off but I like Seasonal games 🤷♂️
Sorry, cant play this anymore. Destiny is kicking ass. I would rather grind for shards on my new builds with a subclass, than the same old map in the same old location with a crap narrative. Plus starting over when I have 8 character in the entirety of the Division series is a lame way to go. Your crapping on the time and diligence your community put into your game with "Seasonal Characters". Its a slap in the face.
I do agree with the rewards for seaeonal characters. Giving the player a reason to do it other than they have to is a good way for people to warm up to the idea alternativly the seasonal characters could be seperate storylines from our main which i think is one way they could make it work well
So basically seasonal characters are weaker characters than your main and you get to do the same old missions with global event modifiers. Seasonal characters will kill what's left of the playerbase. I'm not giving up my main. P.S. why does no one talk about you having to use vauable materials for your seasonal characters?
I've played Division 2 on PS a few years ago, and haven't really touched it since. Since then I've gotten a PC, and I've been looking into it again. Is it worth starting the grind now?
Every season after I finish the pass I’ll wipe an alt and replay to 40 just to do it for fun and get another stack of points to spend on resources through the watch. At this point all I’m missing are raid exclusives since I’m a solo player. Getting the new gear I want each season is done in a couple weeks anyways, then I’ll do a new alt, then a week later I’ll put the game down for a month so I don’t burn myself out on it. At this point I’ll take any change. This season’s gearset is the first in over a year I’ve actually used something other than striker and eclipse. Even then, I’ll just run the same stuff with new gear running rifles instead of an AR. I’ve gotten my money’s worth out of TD2 and the current state feels like the same home stretch the classified gearsets were in TD1. Games been a pillar in my library for me for 5 years, not much to complain about.
this game is incredible bugged .... i don get any exotic boxes from any weekly or dayli mission ... everytime when i got message exotic box on left down corner and look at them there is nothing ....
I hope the devs use D2 for a testing environment for D3. I know most games don’t go back-but I really hope they look at D1’s mechanics for D3. An example is being able to Prock a talent on 1 gun and switch to a new weapon and prock another talent.
I have an idea! what if you stuck by the original vision of your game.... div1>dive 2 rogues 2.0 div2>div3 seasonal characters...... guinea pigs for the next game 2.0.
Good video i dont care about new carakter i play solo if they ceap sideline solo players they will lose a lot of players bad move, they could now make it posible to make raids (light) fore solo players so we can get exotics from those missions open up DZ withe a togle fore thoes who want PVP/ ore just PVE like they did in survivel div 1 + Underground best dlc in div 1 with hunters can only hope they can make a game catering fore bothe Group and solo players all the best 🙂
Seasonal characters delete your stash and backpack. Saves on server costs... When there's a new season of manhunt everybody logs in to play the content and they don't want to have to have that server space on hand for just a new season. Seasonal characters without builds and backpack will eliminate the need for extra server space whenever more people log on period
What about these bugs as soon as they do an update there’s another bug they have already given us a bug with this Xp not working and losing the world tier didn’t help
I'm going to explain why we are getting seasonal characters: this is what happens when a company developing games decide to only trust the data and not listening to a single community based around their game. Since the expertise was introduced we've been farming like crazy those mule characters and that has been delivered to devs all this time. When they see that data they thought that we were doing a ''seasonal character'' because it was fun, ignoring the fact that it only because we wanted to pump our main ASAP so we can keep playing with our MAIN with all its power. This was the last proof the community needed to actually know how disconnected Ubisoft is from us. 8 years of Division lore was amazing and we discovered creators like you that are great. Was hard, but retired completely from the game and look at it like I look Splinter Cell.
Been following since div1 its really a shame what this game has come too …they really need to go back to patch 1.4 of division 1 and really see what an amazing fun experience it was at that time this game went from that too this its honestly unbelievable
Yea. No matter if you try to make it sound good, because you are a content creator and you need views, it is not. Seasonal characters is a FU from devs to us. They stole from me something that I loved since launch, and I will never play the game again if they implement it. The First Descendant, here I come.
"They need to test everything, they should do everything in division 2 for division 3...(3 minutes later) Right the game isn't built for things like expertise, shd, new characters etc. It's outdated." BROTHER what're you talking about?? I don't know how many times you contradicted yourself throughout the video so I'm not even gonna try but the nonsense you said in that line is inexcusable. Do you genuinely have any idea what you are talking about or you just dont gaf? Not only is this game dead but you completely missed the point as to why they are doing this in the first place. This is not some "test" or prep for Division 3, this is a band aid fix and last minute attempt to gage any semblance of a community the game still has and maybe just maybe they'll gain 5 new players with this new "system." Brother if anything alarm bells should be ringing in your head if this is what YOU expect from Division 3. This also proves once again content creators aren't good for gaming and should never have their opinions taken seriously. I think we might be playing two different games ffs.
You wanna know what i think would make seasonal characters worth it? We could pass on 1 piece from our mains ans essentially be farming to make our favourite gear pieces on our mains "named items" or exotics. I like lmgs, where's my exotic or named M60 or MK46? Well...how about letting me farm to make my own? I wanna m60 with perfect optimist, well ok, how about doing a set number of tasks to get that? Want it to be an exotic where maybe i get perfect optimist now ive got it on there but i'd also like bullethell? Ok, well now you need to do another series of tasks to get it. That sounds like it's going to be OP right? It would be the same for everyone on every gun and gear piece. Can always allow you to use any talent from any piece anywhere, even if it's jot that weapon type specific. What if i want perfectly unhinged and breathe free from the lady death? The games a bit tame now, juat open up ths possibilities to do whatever at this point, multiple exotics, comboa of talents etc. Descent has done it and you can make some pretty unique builds. So far all td2 is doinf is actually reducing our options. Seasonal characters is optional, im skipping it entirely ans juat doing it with my main 🤷♂️ if they dont want me to do the story on release thats fine 🤷♂️ im a solo player, new 4 player difficulty 🥱 why dont they just bring out a 12 player raid, giant dont care about things set up for groups, you wanna go group and do a bulletsponge test, off you go 🖐 but i prefer not to have to rely on randomers having a remotely decent build and agreeable play styles with my own for me to pass content...
I just don't have much time and 10 hours of leveling seasonal character it's a whole week in my case. So I need to have a strong reason to do that, but I don't see it. And if I need to follow the strict route to progress - it's also not the thing I like the most.
13:05 What are you talking about? After all, this is one of the players' favorite modes, practically every second / every third person says it was cool... I don't know where you get these ideas from
@widdz it died down for pvp because it's a game modenlikr Descent and not a pvp like mission like Conflict. That said, I played survival Saturday for years and tgat was pvp survival and we had half or more full servers for years
Not only are the drops crap, you might get 1 or 2 items. The Summit totally sucks for loot now because they are forcing you to go to countdown to get loot. I’ve been playing since the game dropped and are fond of my main character. Basically they are saying, play seasonal characters if you want some new content.
@@Marcelles so whats the point with that? burger king copies mc donald, mercedes copies audi!? ok GUY and whats the point with that? seasons, leagues keep games alive so i dont get it, should they reinvent the wheel?
I’m cautiously optimistic. I like my main but I like the idea and potential that seasonal characters can bring. I need to see how they plan to execute it and how it will actually play out in practice
The same thing doing it over and over and over is why I quit playing. I can only do those missions so many times before it gets boring. At least Destiny 2 makes new content with each season.
@@PsYcO9iKiLl9YaH but you still follow and watch his videos LMAO. He probly farmed you in DZ, you cant be this brainless and salty for no reason. Same as you other brainless buddy.
Already deleted after returning from a year and a half break. 3 weeks ago I returned until I heard the news about seasonal characters I then deleted the game. Which sucks because I have 3500 hours in it and enjoyed it
The game has reached it's life cycle. I can't understand why they seem to wanna force players to do shit they don't even want to. The game has become too repetitive and it's more like a chore. There's no more freedom. They just force you to replay the same shit content over and over. They're not gonna gain more fans like this. I can see the game completely dying if Division 3 doesn't come end of next year.
Game Over - I can understand Seasons in Diablo 3 but this is plain stupid, no Exotic Gear nothing. How long does a season last in P.U 6.0 ? So it would be interesting if they offered 2x the chance to get exotic items to drop.
seasonal model in td2 is just plain boring , after i tried it when i finished my wony campaign 4 years ago i knew i wasnt going to play the game for too long , leveling up from launch td2 to wony was a fun experience though , i tried to get back into the game but i quit after 30 minutes when it asks me to do control points , patrols , bounties , weekly invasion , it got old too fast for me
@@exxabkgaming3349 seasonal model as of after wony campaign when you get the watch , thats where season 1 started , im not talking about seasonal character
Why not make weekly and daily leaderboatd rewards like 30.exotic components for first place. That would be worth it but also deal with thr cheaters. Would be great if we can share the idead we have for content. We the community can never break through even as a hardcore Div player. Have something the community even you Widzz will find interesting.
I expect it will be done the same way that Diablo does it. The season may have a whole set of new skills that they only have to balance for the seasonal power and will only be in that season or other borrowed power systems that may make it into the base game at some point in the future if popular etc. I expect there will be a handful of things like new weapons that you can only aquire from the season that will then move to your base account at the seasons end etc. Even in Diablo that has been season based for decades there was mass outcry and panic from people in Diablo 4 when they launched season 1 because some people just dont understand how seasons work. I've read many of the exact same comments on Division videos as I saw from D4 at that time. I think you can ignore most of the complaining about seasons from Division players, it will just stop once they get to see it and realise it really wont make much difference and a lot of people I think will actually really like seasons, if they are done well. I'd bet that if they are going to do seasons the same way as Diablo or Path of Exile that in a year from now you wont see a comment on a video from anyone that cares about the base characters, seasons will be the only thing people will be interested in.
If Season Character becomes a Main Feature in Division 2, then its more over then it actually is already. Hate Season Character lke i have to great a new one every season.
Games a fu*ken joke now. Bugs, glitches, and incompetence. Wheres the accountability? Devs are clowns, Ubisoft Support is sh*t. Discord community managers rather listen to Spotify and wack off then help or listen to input. My advice is take negative review on the gane whereever you can. Apparently that's the only way devs listen now
lol I made a new character shade level 32,000 the first bit in New York arresting Washington it broke the game can’t match mate I get targeted Luke from New York and Washington and that’s no joke and no projects all gone so you better stop telling people to do it because it’s broken
I have a theory, the seasonal Agent is going to be a Rogue agent with Access to the new AI (Anna). we may even get new skills that only the rogue agent will be able to use. Just my theory but I will wait to cast judgement on this move by the devs.
Interesting theory, I kinda have a feeling something like that could happen with the new DLC and that could make the seasonal character make sense, but then they should have waited with that til the DLC release
@@widdz Too add, we don't have any information to what the endgame re-work is. I think once we get more information with the DLC and endgame, Seasons 2.0 will make more sense. I have no doubt that seasons 2.0 will compliment the DLC and new endgame. People are judging seasons 2.0 with how the game plays now, but not considering there are other major changes coming into the game.
Regarding PvP, atleast we fucking have PvP lmao every other looter shooter just doesn't have it period even the new one first descendant or whatever doesn't have it..
yea ik alot of them dont like grinding PVE 1000 hours get everything max out shd, expertise, exotic, and mods but there a problem i went in DZ people say 70% of cheater are in PVP is crazy Dev got to do something with that
@@dylanmelotti4301 LOL are you clown player saying that to someone ok buddy whatever you say have 150 people in discord were talking about it i not the one been DZ i grind PVE alot
this makes me stop playing the game ,, season characters is stupid thats why I don't play diablo or path of exile' the time invested to get max expertise level upgraded the gear to max expertise is for nothing we have to make a new character to play the new seasons .that is just a joke the devs have no idea what the players want like more incursions/locations .bigger darkzone like in div1
Seasons 2.0 is the best change this game could get. It ill bring life and grind back into the game. Along with new seasonal content and endgame rework, the game will feel fresh every seasonal wipe. Gear, resources and materials will have value to them as people won't have a surplus of them. Instead of people haveing 10+ maxed builds, people will have to choose and focus what builds they want to level up. DZs will be more intense as people will fight to get gear out because in Seasons 2.0 they will actually need the gear. Not only that but everyone wont be playing with maxed out builds like we have been for the past two years. PvE will feel fresh, more challenging and require more teamwork when playing in a squad as the masses of AI will be more of a threat. The majority of the player based have had maxed out builds, materials, resources for over two years, diminishing the value of them. Overall, there is absolutely no con I see to seasons 2.0 what soever.
You think aritificial difficulty and adding a 50-80 hour grind every season is gonna bring back players, gain new players and keep us interested? Without even a mention or hint of some exclusive rewards or SOMETHING besides the same battle pass we have had for the past 5 years. Come on you can't be serious, this isn't Diablo.
Dawg as a division vet I can say that having to do the same thing over and over, leveling up get gear and a build over and over again every new season in this 2.0, nah you bugging, especially with no exclusive rewards or anything to want to have to do this nah, big N.O.
sound like shit to me iv played the division and 2 from start it would have been better if they just made division 3 than this half hearted to try to keep players
Its what I called silo mentaility, just copy paste other formula disregarding what division 2 currently is and hope and pray it work out!! Seriously, all the new content has been shit the latest was similar to season char u go naked and try to gear up really how was that recieved? How many players even play that mode and found it fun! Season chars will be the same, all the blood and sweat farming for gear, SHD lvls, expertise just went down the drain with season char! Frankly, the gaming industry has gone stale and they create all these maps with different landscapes and who even wanders around explore the map, all they have are missions that are pretty much scripted and in small areas, so what is the point of creating a huge map of Washington and New York?? Just a total waste of efforts and time really.
Wrong pay attention to the wording SEASONAL content will be available during intermission so last 2-3 weeks of the season and thats when you can play you main
I don't understand you after so many years you and Marco style craynig about D2 is trash it's not good like D1 butt you playing non stop D2 only you don't stream any more
You just a content creator bro you don't know anything about anything anymore you just pop when this game is hot then will leave after the smoke is gone. So RN you making videos bc div at the moment is what making viewers for you nc you been making left and right since this update and you my friend had not made video about this game over a years or so now.
Seasonal wipes should've been in the game since the first season. eitherway, I am excited for seasons 2.0. Haven't been this exited for Division 2 content of over 2 years.
@@dw4897 It's not just the grind for gear, it's the challenge the game will present when grinding and looting for gear. It's the fact we will have to go out in the world and find that gear and loot resources to begin with. It will make doing open world activates, projects, clan missions worth doing for the rewards and XP. The game will have a completely different dynamic, feel and flow since nobody will be maxed out on gear. What people fail to realize is how regular seasonal wipes will enhance the overall gameplay, giving each season a fresh feel, putting us all at the same starting point. People are just focued on the fact we'll be starting in the endgame at SHD level 1, but no considering how different the gameplay loop will be because we're not going out into the endgame with maxed out gear, full stash and resources as well as a maxed out SHD watch. Finding a named item or exotic piece of gear will have more value and meaning because we won't have 4+ of them already in our stash. Going out and doing resource runs will have meaning because we won't have 1k+ of scavenging points to use from our watch. The ovarall gameplay loop will have more value and reason to actually get on and play than the game stands now.
I'm all for the seasonal characters. I'm a og division player and I feel this is a great move for dark zone. Everyone won't have mid max builds and the fights will be skill based and not have the strongest stuff in the game basically carry alot of these sorry players in this game
As I said in the video for PVP/DZ it COULD be amazing especially if they did some changes and buffed DZ loot. Isssue to me is that skills are still to strong and you farm gear to fast in countdown. Cause it would be fun if ppl didn't have minmax/meta builds in PVP for a change
@@widdz it will feel like how pvp felt when the game 1st came out. U can't just run up and run in circles when everyone gear is wack and low. Gives the game more skill when its like that. If it was me I would have seasonal characters only for dark zone and the only gear u can use is the gear u extract in the dz so nobody can't just have the best gear from the start. It will also make the dark zone feel like div 1 because the loot will be more of value because u actually trying to improve. I wish I could be in the dev ears but imma RU-vidr. Not even enough subs to be called a content creator lol
I agree 100%. Not only that, finding rare named gear and a piece of you gear you want/need for you build will make extracting intense again. As the game stands now, so many people have maxed out builds, with all of the gear they want, it doesn't matter if players extract their gear or not. Again, finding rare, named items will also have more value to them. Overall, seasons 2.0 is exactly what the game needs. It will bring back value in to loot, resources and materials again. To be honest, seasons 2.0 will make the game feel like it did during it's first few weeks of release. Everyone is grinding for gear and now we have far more gear available, as well as the SHD watch and expertise system. Seasons 2.0 will bring life and grind back into the game.
As a Div 1 player who didn’t like Div 2 this might actually make me return to the game can’t imagine how many more people it would bring back to the game but I can understand the people who are upset on their character becoming meaningless soon, works well in diablo 4 every season is very enjoyable despite starting over.
the thing is, people are complaingning about nothing to do. now we get seasons and its like in any other game with a season, league type of "Mode" you start from 0 and thats what most peole do, diablo, path of exile, last epoch you name it, running around with a maxed out character for 6 years with the smae old shit is the most boring for me, i play 3+ builds every league in poe, all classes every season in diablo because even a season is around 3 months i get bored real quick and i havent played non season/league since forever^^ its boring to me. and yet people dont like it, what do these kids want? what do you expect to come to a game thats 6 years old and doenst have such insane money dump like destiny, diablo or whatever. its driving me insane how people complaing about everything.
No it’s not. You just have limited experience. Best way to keep content fresh is to add new content. Sell new content. Simple. But companies don’t like the difficulty involved in creation so gamers of these live services are getting the exact same thing over and over instead.
@@monalisa-bs4zsExactly. What would freshen up Div2 is new mission types/locations; new enemies; new paid DLC, etc. The seasonal character model is basically a Hail Mary to see if it works because obviously funds/player count aren’t there to offer anything more substantive.
@@PsYcO9iKiLl9YaHYou can’t compare PoE or Diablo to Div2 because the latter doesn’t have a class system nor does it have new and existing skill sets and weapons to use when using different classes. As such, even if you strip away a veteran player’s ability to use their main for seasonal content it’s not like they get to use a completely new class on a new seasonal character. No, what they have to use is just a scrub character that we all had to use back when we first started playing. It’s not fresh or invigorating and doesn’t add to the overall experience, it’s just annoying.
@@Cryotyde in what way did i compare them? i just pointed out that other games have seasons and thats the only reason the majority of players play them. i did never say they should NOT bring new content to the game, im also not someone who says that seasons are something awesome when it comes to division. the game has bugs that are in the game since releaase, they said 2k bugs are fixed and i still can replicate the same old bugs from day one, what do you think are these incompetent(i know the "poor" people are a complete different dev team but i dont care) devs are capable of creating something new? they just dont so they have to work with what they can and especially this spaghetti code doesnt make it any easier im pretty sure. i dont think its as easy as it sounds to "just make some new missions/content" be happy the game somewhat runs well and atleast for me it doesnt crash every 20 minutes for a few weeks now. but people want suvival from div 1 like gamemodes, so seasons are the closest to that yet that sucks too^^ lol yes games get boring when there is no stuff to do but they also get boring if you faceroll content, im fine with seasons, maybe give the crying people who want to faceroll everything with maxed out 6 year old chars the option to do so and its fine for me, the game will not last another n6 years like mmo´s like wow do so lets make it decent for the last few months or "years"
