I've done similar to this build off and on. Some other things to note: Having Caduceus makes the bleed refresh sticky bomb. Having the vigorous talent on your chest piece allows you to take booster shot first aid to give resistance/damage as well as overheal without needing to use booster shot.
Nice build! Definitely giving this a try. When will the Midas review go up? I still haven't gotten one but curious to see how it performs now. Also is there a certain boss it has a higher chance to drop from?
Nice build Arekkz! What HE chest perk you using? I use something similar but run the Overheal perk on a HE chest and run the damage booster first aid mod so I can throw our damage buff/resistance to my group all the time as well as provide an over-shield.
Got this build working with a team of 3 by using "Talented" and "Dominant" Talents on my High-end Vector. Particularly Dominant which helps get rid of the last part of the cooldown. Awesome build though, thanks Arekkz.
Just finished my 2nd level 30 last night and put 4pc tac set on and 2 piece HE gear chest and gloves. I plan to do a similar build like this with him. A lot more stamina though and lower firearms.
If you use support station and have triage does it reduce skill cooldowns per health tic or is it a one time use for healing your allies with the support station?
would you say the vector 45 acp is better than the midas? i had a good roll that gave me two that boost crit chance by 13% (one when 10m away and the other for 10 sec after using a skill) and gain 6% health after every kill. the weapon dmg gave me right in between the range so not bad but not great. the midas does less damage but has a 60 bullet clip and heals me for each crit(650rpm), but the vector does alot more damage in a faster time, but only has a clip of about 40 (960rpm). All the numbers i wrote in are already bonused from the attachments. at the end the midas will do 109,000 dps with its pre set abilities, and the vector will do 120,000 dps with a pretty good roll of abilities. Dont know which to use! by the way my build is weapon damage and health if that helps.
Hey Arekkz, have you come across some sticky bomb irregularities with this build? such as players not taking any damage, even in the dead center of the blast when triggered?
Is it safe to say that any skill power based build is more of a support/teammate build because I did the same thing with a riot shield build and I was super squishy?
hey man first of all nice guide and a really fun build ! ( i play it atm ) but do u think shrapnel is really worth it ? it only ticks for about 2,5 - 3,5 k.
Hey Arekkz, been following your feed for a while now. Just wondering if you could put up a video about what type of mods to put on each weapon class to get the most out of them?
Does this work with support station I wonder? If all teammates are within radius? But I guess the bonus of use First Aid with overdose is that you can 'heal' them at full health whereas you cannot do that with the lunchbox/handbag.
Hey Arekkz, Don't know if it counts as a build but I've been running low support and seeker mine (gas) with only 1k support power if not triggered it has a 100% up time so having a little friend following you makes you feel safe and happy :) What makes this a little op is with no real need for support you can stack lots of firearms and stamina. This comes in handy when you find out that (possible a bug) at melee range (regardless if your friend is out or not) you yourself also confuse enemies. This means I'm practically immune from melee attacks and I can run up to most 32 yellow bars confuse them and with a good enough smg kill them before the confuse wears off.
If you don't have a team you can also use healing station with ammo and skill reduction mod.... And also use the talent that gives you 20% increase cool down for skills when health is at the last bar
I've been using the Sticky bomb with healing combination since level 19. With high electronics my damage and healing is great. That combined with sticky radius and damage attribute bonus' as well as healing talents, it makes my burst damage awesome along with healing capability. Also i prefer damage resistance and increased damage healing ability. This is because i have a talent that automatically over-heals all healing abilities anyway.
building my second character like this and i cant wait lol. I know high skill means faster cooldown to some extent but does having a high skill level example 50k over 40k have an increase of base damage for the bomb?
Have you considered showing builds off in Challenge Mode? Because other than that, literally ANY build is fine. Killing purple enemies isn't really a good test of a build's strength.
im 231 atm rocking the Mp5 and im getting similar hits. Replaced my Vector due to the low 40mag, mp5 with 60mag hitting just as hard if not harder loving it
Btw Arekzz, I run with Skill-up with a similar build and just so you know the dot from the bleed procs caduceus coolheadead talent so that could help if you miss hitting all of your party members with the heal.
I'm building my 2nd character all around Skill Power. Especially using the High End Armor Mods REALLY helps a lot, if you don't want to neglect the other stats too much. The only MAJOR grudge I have with a skill power build is...that it would be SO much more efficient if you could hotkey 3 skills, instead of two. The options are just too limiting with just 2 skills. Just one more skill on your character would make this build SO much more viable.
+Arekkz Gaming Another thing if you wound mind, instead of the healing with overdose, could one use the smart cover with healing, has greater range and increases the groups dmg as well, or would it be less effective?
i have something for u that i have been running alot solo. having cool-headed and harmful on my sniper, since bleed count as headshot this will make it so that u have 100% uptime unless u kill every target without getting any bleeds on. And running shock turret instead of heal could be nice in team group.
Good build if you happen to have a solid 3 friends who can actually communicate well and follow plans. Unfortunately so many people play this game trying to be the ultimate lone badass
Is there any replacement for Triage? I run this solo and it works very well when cutting corners but I feel that I can use another talent in replacement for it
I have trouble with triage. it seems like it only works when you heal EVERY member of your team. which is. fine balance decision, but it would sure as hell be nice to have that in the tool tip.
I run this sticky bomb build. It works best with the team I run with. My question is if you look in the bfb mod you can see the total damage which max out at 250,000. However, having gear with sticky bomb damage on 5 out of 6 pieces of gear and running the same talents as this video suggest. I do 350,000 damage to a group of mobs. I want to know it I can get that higher. Currently I have 35,000 to 41,000 skill power and it doesn't seem to change. And do I do that same kind of damage to a group of rouges?
I have a similar gank build for the DZ. Even at around 28k skill power I was still one shotting entire groups and even the occasional solo player. I had ~53k health and I was getting done in pretty quick up close., so I can imagine having 10k less would be pretty glass like, lol. You have paper thin armour.
Only real thing to use sticky for is flashbang (PVP) but considering you got options like seeker mine, pulse and smart cover it becomes redundant. With "3% heal of dmg dealt per crit" combined with "all healing skills grant overheal", "30% increased healing with last segment" and "healing kicks in twice as fast behind cover" boosting electronic skillpower should only be done if wanting to cap crit chance/dmg (100% with pulse), increase heal skill (with dmg and resistance buff), smart cover etc. These will also help in challenge mode. I still find it better to spend skillpower on firearms and stamina so you get that 200k+ DPS and 80k+ health. Remember some gear items also grant 5k+ to electronics. Other thing to REMEMBER is armour. If you get it capped (4600) you gain 65% dmg migigation.
What about a turret build? I really like using my gun turret as an offensive weapon, but I'm not sure what to really do, other then spec entirely into electronics.
hey I made a build really similar to this but a little more burst focused. I have 50k skill power, 53k hp, 109k primary dps. I was just messing around with the same talents, but roll with smart cover for 50% dmg buff, 75% reduced incoming dmg, and a nice cool down reduction. Your a turret using a heavy sticky bomb pretty much. you'll spam 500k ish sticky bombs as long as there is multiple targets. but I also rock the caduceus for that nice cool headed perk. maybe give it a try? would be cool to see something I roll with on RU-vid.
nice , mine isnt the best with skill power, 190,000 dps 70,000 hp 17,500 skill but im in the making pf a second character skill power build , might follow your general stats
+Kill Ryder vector with extendet mag (80%+ mag-cap) it has more then half as much dmg per shot then the liberator and since smg's have a higher crit hit chance it buffs this gun way over the liberator.
if you like the way Pakhan handles go Lib, if you feel the recoil is too much go bm ak, if you wanna switch to closer range fights go Vector, now if you still want a good range fighter gun go to the dark zone special vendor located in thr most north, the assault rifle blueprint is lvl 50 but out of all assaults it has the best range and damage. but thats just my opinion. dont tie yourself down with high end only either. you might be a godlike purple
I'm so glad I went for a skill build, having a gun with coolheaded perk gives me one sticky every 3-5s btw, did they change the damage cap? I'm getting 270k damage out of it every shot, and over 300k with chain reaction talent
+salvaginezzeb lar and since the bleeding effect is headshots, coolheaded will be great choice. let them bleed and the skill will coming back quick. only thing is the electronics cap. with guns you get no cap, you can headsnipe for 1m crit.
I'd reccommend First Aid Booster shot, then get increased healing / overheal on gear and its pretty much the same as overdose but with dmg / dmg reduction buff.
The place where skill power builds fall short and this one specifically is that they REQUIRE a team to maximize the usefulness or even make them viable in challenge mode.
also something to keep in mind if you happen to have vest which grants overheal to all healing abilities, damage bunus/resistance heal is waaaaay better, since you already have enough skillpower to heal youeself and others to maximum even with base heal without upgrades 15% damage bonus on ALL sources and 20%(this number might be different) damage reduction from ALL sources is literally free and with no downsides
has this been nerfed so bleeding effect doesn't count. i finally got it as the last talent on a scar H but it takes the same time as before i had the cool headed talent.
you got yourself a new sub. thanks for the tip here, Arekkz that stickybomb group tactic is OP aF. gonna run this video to my squad. I'll send them your way so they can see this themselves
the healing skill doesnt look like you are firing from a gun like the sticky ? overdose skill. is that just a visual thing. or are you using a medpack for the heals. confused
+Paul Welch you can double tap the assigned key (Q or E on PC, not sure for consoles) for the healing skill and it applies the effect on yourself and anyone within 1m. Tapping once allows you to fire it from a gun.
I was using this ablit not the exact build as i specced more into healing talents with occasional bomb to blow things behind cover. I see this gonna be fun lmao. I already run this in DZ oneshotting all rouges that attack me or going group rouge lol
The damage doesn't matter? I have a build only for damage.. It's around 144.000 DPS or its too much? Because I see ppl with low damage and I don't understand why
that build is awesome!! ima try my own version. And don't forget to stack skill haste. there is also a armor talent that will heal you 3% of the damage dealt.
+Skjolbir Refreshing the 'overheal' bit works fine though. I've been using almost this exact setup but with Pulse instead of Sticky Bomb so i can provide constant vision to my team (plus crit/crit damage)
In the future it'll be very helpful if you have a game-play of you and your squads going through a challenge mode with these builds of yours (unless you're not that comfortable with them). Also using the term "infinite" in this context is not exactly right, because sticky bomb and by extension all the skills in The Division are infinite, using....."fast......cool down" would have been more accurate albeit not as succinct. But cool video :)
+Josh Bishop the sticky doesnt one shot if you have decent health, as far as this video goes, any geared and well organised team can be deadly sticky or not
+JeeNiNe Media You're right to an extent. But speaking from experience, when there's a four person group, organized like they are.. sticky bomb spawn trapping you.. Yeah you could leave the DZ or go somewhere else but it's pretty frustrating
+Chris Topher I always stand out of cover 1 meter from clusters of enemies shooting them point blank in the face as they try to damage me, and when i get low i pop a heal or a medkid, and with my 140k dps i shred them before they are able to kill me, that is why armor is so important kids
I just watched this build and this is exactly what I use i have 51k skill power and I use a sniper that has the cool headed talent that reduces skill cool downs per head shots I love it
+Ecthelion008 +Farsicles +Trailblazer02 all valid suggestions but you didn't mention the most crucial one. Where to get the caduceus. Cause what we saw in the vid was not gear based.
