The Dixie Bird cover 

When I first broke into the old bike scene I was made aware of the coveted ( by some ) Dixie Bird. Then someone said it was Superior that made them. Which came first? Dixie or Superior?
So if a man wanted the air cleaner cover he had to know what he was riding because there are two directions of the bird on the air cleaner covers. One for the OHV Harleys and one for the INDIAN/Harley Flatheads because the carbs were on opposite sides. If ya screwed up the bird is flying BACKWARDS!
