I know that Klayton (Celldweller/Circle of Dust/Scandroid) and Nine Inch Nails use their modular synth setups to also manipulate their guitars (and other instruments), and they tend to blend that with more standard guitar effects as well. I'm sure many others do in the electro/industrial scene, but beyond that, a video like this is really great for presenting the potential for new ideas, sound design, and just how wide the palette of modern music can be. I actually have a pedal that does the tremolo into ring mod thing, it's called the syntax error by Alexander pedals, really cool pedal, if anyone was wanting to find that sound in a stompbox

Moog's ring modulator pedals do it as well on the low frequency setting.

Glad I’m not alone in wanting to see these two jamming like this live! Maybe they could even take a Ben Folds-esque approach to include the audience to a point? It’d be a great time for sure either way!

10:30 /12:39 onwards is what I’d imagine a Vsnares/the Berzerker and Meshuggah collab sounding like. 9:33 this was rad, loved the solo too. Ps. Can’t wait to see a southpaw rob scallon signature, when it comes out. I’m instantly wish-listing it.

I didn't realize it was October 1st already!!! You guys should totally bring some modules to the studio for that because that would be a killer way to make a song.

Too cool, I think it would be really interesting if you recorded the raw guitar signal as well, and any signal generating modules from the synth, so every now and then you could’ve cut to the raw signal to to show what is going in, compared to the music that’s coming out

if you drop a whole drum loop into a convolution reverb plugin and just play a palm muted 16th note chord you can get some neat gating and reverb effects
