@@redhood4042 we've always been here. We've been here since Classic, since the movie, we were here for Simm and Missy, even for Shalka and the War Master audios. The Doctor and The Master's relationship runs deep, whether you ship them or not. Personally I'm not a huge fan of Dhawan and 13, but I respect it as a continuation of a fraught and unhealthy love story. They can't live with each other, and the can't live without each other
I love that the master spends most of their time method acting. I'll never forget what Simm did to Bill and the fact he just kept up that character for years. The Master honestly should enroll into an acting school

0:40 - see, it's funny, seeing this now, because - knowing the twist - he ACTUALLY thought the Doctor would know who he was just by SEEING him. Sometimes I feel like the Master's great talent for underestimating the Doctor is only outclassed by his ability to OVERestimate the Doctor lol
I have always suspected The Doctor makes Chronologically relative mental notes of what The Master looks like. Like how 10 didn't recognize Yana or Sim, it's because he was expecting the Roberts Master, or the Ainley Master (or whichever one 10 ran into in the big finish stories, etc.) Same thing with 12 expecting Sim and getting the Gomez Master/Missy, and here 13 didn't realize Missy had regenerated and so expected to see her, and instead got the Dhawan Master, and as usual when the Master is partially doing disguises, or regenerated without the Doctor knowing- the Doctor doesn't pick up on it until much later. Either that or The Doctor was Trolling the master just as much as the master was.
@@TheGreyTurtleEntertainment The reason Simm wasnt recognised was because of the Archangel network masking his presence from the Doctor and the reason Yana was not recognised was because he was Human at the time.
Not just Whittaker and Dahwan, but literally every Doctor/Master pairing since Pertwee and Delgado. My personal favorites are Tennant's Doctor and Simm's master, as well as Theta-Sigma and Koschei from the Academy days
sacha and john's masters were both insane and i loved that, i loved missy's more cheeky side and how she was cunning opposed to the nearly childish way that the other two presented themselves as. overall the master and the doctor have some mild sexual tension that nobody is really ready to cover.

That was definitely stolen from a fanfic. It's in way too many fanfics shipping the Doctor and Master, but still I love that they actually put it into the show.

I rewatched Spyfall recently and knowing O is the Master makes it _hilarious_ Graham's explaining "well, things don't move in a straight line with the doc" And he's just like "You don't say?" I half expect him to be like 12 when River thought he'd never seen the Tardis, and start being overly dramatic and sarcastic like "oh my gosh! This changes my whole perspective on existence!"
Since I stopped watching the newer seasons but I’m seeing this- I wish they would have shown more of this type of interaction with the master and the doctor more when they were both guys too, and not just straight... ya know? There was definitely tension and shut but just wish there was more you feel? Idk I just started rewatching Doctor who since I have a vpn finally but yeah
I agree. I wanted to see a lot more of that, but to be fair, RTD did try and put in as much as he possibly could. There is rarely a scene where it isn't hinting a past romantic relationship and a BDSM one. End of Time Pt 2 is the perfect example of both.

Love the master here loved the chaotic performance of the master but a lot happened at missy’s arc and it was just forgotten when writing it! I wanted that continuation of the master having something else than Murderous intent like what happened to Missy but it was written like that important part of the story didn’t even happened :(((
i absolutely loved it when Missy and Master shot each other in the back! That was so them! They should have had New Master make some comments about being her!
My favourite relationship is still probably between the WiH Doctor and the WiH Doctor. "You've lost your beard? You've got one, and I always do the opposite of what you do."

He gave him, his heart.... The Masters heart has always been inside the doctor, the First Doctor had one which was why he feared regeneration till he realized he had two hearts not one
