Torry Castellano was a bada*s drummer, and if you ever saw them live, then you know exactly what I'm talking about because she always played exactly like this. Hard to believe that it's now been 12 years since they disbanded.
I first saw The Donnas on SNL when they did "Take it Off" in 2002.. I was amazed.. They instantly became my favorite band ever ever ever lol.. saw them 4 times live after that.. Unbelievable live shows.. Have to be there to fully appreciate.. Sadly a bygone era for them and me :).. Very glad I got to see them though.. I even got to shake/kiss Brett's hand at a Pittsburgh show once.. we were right at the stage \o/ Woo Hoo!!!
And that SNL performance was nowhere near the bands best. I’ve seen them live too and it was a great show, in Cleveland OH down in the flats. Met the band. They were great.
Who cares if its popular, its 100% better than the shit that is popular today. Bad Ass Ladys . Never heard a song by then yet that i didn't like . Cheers 🍻🍻 🍻
it's not her voice, it's the songs. The vocal melodies were too low and difficult to sing which is a sign of a weak song. Too bad cause Ive always really liked them and hoped theyd break thru with a great song.
