@@raymondtovey3722 🤔 not sure I can agree with you there. Johnston fits the doobies sound a bit more I feel but Henley is a damn good vocalist. Two different really, both bluesy but Johnson more of a raw, throaty shouting. Henley, very gentle singing, excellent vibrato, a bit raspy and in some cases nasally.

I saw this wonderful band live in Sydney Australia about 3 hours ago on the 13/04/17. Can you believe that they the support for Santana. It should have been the other way around. I know the great Carlos Santana is a legend but THE DOOBIES ROCKED IT TONIGHT.

Back in the ‘90s they opened for Foreigner at then Riverside park (now Six Flags New England) in Agawam MA. I went to that concert and thought they should have been the main act not Foreigner.

I saw Santana open for the Stones - Carlos really made Keith sound amateurish -afew days later Mick fired Santana -true story -so it go both ways is all I'm sayin .

The addition of the backup singers in the LP version was a good idea.

I watched them in concert in 1975 at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah, GA. The second band was Pablo Cruse and at the very end, both bands came out and played together. It was the best concert ever watched.
