@@kathy4655 wow ! First of all thanks for reaching out ! I keep commenting on legendary videos like these n see people spilling their heart out that says 10 years ago, 8 years ago. N I never hear back from them. Perhaps many of them are even dead. But you aren't 😅🙆. I've been longing to create an online community of people liking the same thing with unique experiences. You can't imagine how much I've learnt from these RU-vid comments of strangers n I guess it's only human to want to know n share more with them. This is a song so deeply rooted in my subconscious it instantly tranquilizes me n takes me to a warm sunny farm with shades of yellow. I imagine scenes of rural America that way, (never been there). Btw I'm in India and yes it's also a beautiful and mystical country. 👐🤍🤍
@@EmperorNerox because it's about his soulmate, that he lost. He loved her more than any other woman. Still loved her when he died. The song is heartbreaking b/c we know how it ended....you think about what could have been for them. Especially if you can relate to that situation, that sickening feeling of hopelessness not having the one you love.
I'm reading The Lizard King, The Essential Jim Morrison. By reading this book, and listening to this song, I feel so grateful and appreciative to have The Doors in my life!!!!!!
I will have this song played during my funeral! Because its a happy conclusion of an echanting moment that must saddly conclude. Just as jim preached, death is life.
This is the most beautiful thing I've heard probably in the past 4 years. This made my entire week. I'm wondering how I never came across this earlier. Better late than never though!!!
1965 . Et leur tout premier titre enregistré (pour une demo) Et un morceau jamais joué en concert, les Doors le jugeant, jusqu'au bout : "insignifiant".... Quelle pépite, pourtant !!! Nul n'est prophète en son pays.
such a dense vibe in what seemingly are simple lyrics. like frost, morrison knew how to evoke & feel up a landscape converting plain to something much deeper. whats so powerful about this is it was done at a time when morrison first found his inner eye converging w/ his voice. its as pure & uncontrived in honesty as he would ever get it. you can hear the arthur lee love influence also. but again, give jim his due, this is diamond in tone. alchemy of tribal, folk, cali cool nights by a fire.
Just before walking out of her door, I asked if I could kiss her. She said “of course” and wrapped her warm hands around my waist and I put an arm around her neck. This song comes on in the background. We kissed our goodnights. And now the song has become something with more life and heart than ever before.
Jim Morrison wrote thing song in High School, about his first love. This was before he did crazy drugs and went a bit mad. So no. LSD didn't write this song. His heart did.
The only drug he did that made him ill in any way shape or form is Alcohol. It is a disgusting and very destructive drug. Psychedelic drugs are amongst the safest substances one could possibly do given they are being responsible and follow the rules when delving into such things as LSD. Forgot the Heroin...that stuff is as we all know horrible. I believe he was using it during his last days in Paris at least that is what I've heard
I think you're mixing this up a bit. The End was the song he wrote about his high school love after they had broken up, hence - This is the end, beautiful friend.
Love simply didn't kill him. An open mind that overly thinks and is somehow enlightened spiritually through a drug will really change someone.he was simply to smart for his own mind to handle. I feel his pain.
Amitie.
The ceremony is about to begin. Coincido totalmente...
Last Saturday was the first show of Ale Villa and The Firulais (I am the singer). The final of the show was this Song, "Mañana en el Abasto" (from Sumo, an argentinian band feo the eighties) and "The End", all of them in complete version . What a moment,, dude!!!!!
This was released as a bonus on the "Perception" box. The album version from "Morrison Hotel" uses the same instrumental track but with Jim overdubbing the singing. Apparently there has been some confusion as to which releases have the 1966 vocals on them because the tracks were mixed up on some CDs. You can get this version on iTunes though!
