Sorry +Eater but whoever did their research on this take on prepared Doritos "taking over" over Mexico city didn't , it is actually quite comon in all of Mexico and US in various Mexican ice cream shops, cart vendors, etc. A different title would of been better because your implying that prepared Mexican Doritos is something new and coming out of Mexico City, when it's actually a quite common snacm and has been for quite some time with people from all parts of Mexico.
You are 100% correct I remember as a kid going to Tijuana and other parts of Mexico since the 80's serving this and many other types of potatoe chip snacks with chamoy and toppings. it seems like these people just went to el DF tried it for the first time and think it's a new craze Lol. who can't forget the famous Soda in a sandwich back with a tied rubber band Lol memories.

Had a friend in middle school make this at lunch. I tried it and it was so good. She did hot sauce, lime juice, some vinegar, and some other ingredient that I can't remember.
+Eater yep I live in Van Nuys and you can get these all over. The respados place on Van Nuys blvd near Vanowen has them. There's also the option to get the same thing but in a watermelon or pineapple. Pretty much any respados or paleta place has them. Before moving to LA it was everywhere in the central valley from Stockton to Fresno.
The camera work was so bad on this video. If only focusing/defocusing made shit look cool. Please, at least review it at the end as to the taste. And give some more clear shots of what is being put.
+seha ren it's also been in mexico for decades , just got a new name, i personally dont like "dorilocos" and prefer tostitos with chamoy (chamoy is a kind of sweet and spicy sauce)
we have 'em here in texas but it's better than this IMO. we call it a walking taco, and it's basically a bag of doritos with taco meat (or barbacoa, carnitas, etc.), lettuce, shredded cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, and maybe guacamole and/or olives. its some gooood shit. of course now taco bell has the doritos locos tacos which is basically the same thing
+MWYANT19 Now That actually sounds good. I would eat that instead of what they ordered in the video, because what they ordered is basically just junk food with hot sauce.
