The Dove Cottage Ride Out 2 (2017) 

You're right there, what a fantastic turnout and gorgeous day for it, all for a really worthy cause. Yeah I don't know if it's the card, battery or the actually camera. It's been a bit beaten up recently so might be why it's playing up now. I'll have to get a new one at some point.... but ghost 4k has a few drawbacks so not sure bout that one :/

Ahh yeah Rob did say you were going to the Copdock one, that's understandable though as it's much more local - it's a fair ol' way you suffolk bunch!! Thanks Weggy, it was a really good day ^_^ Hope to see you sometime soon!

Oh how strange, I had to approve your comment! Doh, I couldn't believe I did that XD Well it's not actually that bad as long as you remember to turn the lil trip thingy back to 0's, then I just make sure I fill up by around 100 miles as people on the Hornet forum say they around that. I've not had toput it into reserve as of yet. Yeah poor thing, I watched Skeggy's vid and it seemed fine as he went past, he even mentioned about it not being spooked, then on mine you can see it did, so I think Skeggy going past was what did it! hahaha

Thanks Rob, Yeah the cam seems to be playing up, that was around 2 hours of footage, usually does around 3 hours. Battery isn't that old either, so might be done for. Will have to replace it at some point. Was a really good day overall and fab weather for it too ^_^

Turning left at a roundabout onto a dual carriageway, leaning & accerlerating and just carried on going down XD Thankfully nothing too serious, I was all ok. Bung saved alot, needed a new generator casing cause it cracked and was leaking oil. Cam had run out like 10 mines beforehand typically XD

Happens to us all Bex....I sat on my bike ready to set off the other day....Full gear on, jacket, jeans, gloves, helmet...but had the feeling something was 'off'....turns out I was correct...Still had my flip flops on my bare feet....Squid! XD Poor thing, to many bikes, but at least we did all try and go past as slow and quietly as possible. Ohhh really!? That's also what I heard, just 1 beep that wasn't the usual beep. I tried to turn mine back on again at the Dove Cottage but it wouldn't stay on. Not sure if the slide has buggered it up or what. Really not too sure bout that Ghost 4K though :/ Really great you could make it along for this Phil! :D

I'm glad I could make it, it was great to see you and the others. I heard the noise it makes when there is an error with the SD card. Not sure with the 4K myself, although the alternative angled USB mic adapter is a bit of a solution but I'm still not sold on it.

Yeah I'm gonna try a different SD card in it, see if that helps. It's not had a problem before though so not sure. Yeah the USB port this is strange, but also wondering bout the battery. I spoke to Drift and they told me the battery life is around 2h 30. But the thing is, even with the the 800mAh battery module when it's released, gonna have to have a fair few of them and have to keep swapping them out fairly often on longer rides :/ I think I saw a pic somewhere of the larger bettery and it doesn;t shw=ow it sitting flush to the camera, it sticks out more. I'm a bit concerned what might happen in an off, like would it be safe with a battery mounted on the side that you maybe sliding along on (like what happened with my cam). The viewing angle is slightly less also, but I guess thats not a major issue I suppose. Just seems like 1 step forward and quite a few back.

That is a very good point about the battery. I'd hope that the camera breaks off on impact before it could slide for long enough to penetrate the battery casing. They tend to explode at that point! I did have a look at one of Spicy's videos that he shot with the narrower field of view and it wasn't too bad. I think with the better picture quality and higher resolution it's an acceptable compromise. I agree, one step forward and a few back with some features. I have a dream that one day, someone out there will develop the perfect helmet camera that is decent quality with a respectable battery life, a streamlined shape and reliable! Hahah

Lol I'd forgot to get some out in the week, so asked Cat if the garage did free cash withdrawals (It's £2.00 at the garage here!) And so that's why I didn't even realise till I got there XD
