what shill? All im seeing are ppl with different opinions abt the game and thats ok Personally, i enjoy the game, i aint ignorant abt its issues but i still enjoy it. Does that make me a shill too? Or do you call everyone who just enjoys the game are shills now to you?
This video should have a million likes. Im at 90% of quitting this dumb game even though im a tekken player since T3. The screen freeze is the stupidest thing ever happened to this game.
@@ICEMAN-Z8 Never forget the day I received my PSOne with a copy of T3. Been a fan since then. Watched the franchise turn into a ghost for decades now. Rage was rock bottom. Now I return to it in T8 - And I gotta deal with Heat on top of it LMAO So sad.
@@ICEMAN-Z8 Imagine playing this game competitively, travelling the world, and then you get sent home because the opponent pressed a button. Honestly I blame Harada for the current state. The microtransactions are ok, they are industry standart now. But the balancing, the horrible matchmaking, the netcode, the chain spam, heat and rage, that's all on Harada. The man has no idea what he is doing.
Fighters are wack nowadays. Easy action stopping 10 second combos everybody can do. Unecessarily long in game cinematics ruining the action flow. Stupid mechanics. Dumbed down predictable meta and low execution that retricts creativity. Its so hard to stay interested man how do you guys do it?
I get the point you're trying to make, but what you call "cutscenes" aren't cutscenes. They're just moves that are made to be cinematic. You might as well call the periods where you're input locked, blocking or are stuck in the enemy combo cutscenes as well with the approach you're taking.
Yeah I agree with your point for the most part. I do think there's a psychological aspect to the "cutscene" thing though that makes it feel more annoying to wait for. Even though it's technically no different to waiting for a combo to end, there's something about the cinematic camera angles that I feel takes you out of the moment slightly and breaks the feeling of flow.
@@yersennn I was finna call it "Cinematics" at the beggining actually. But thats even worst. The thing is like I said I didn't count the blocking, combo or, guessing parts cuz its the gameplay. Whether I like or not at least I'm actually doing something here. Tekken rounds are already pretty short (specially this one) so it might be the reason why the mecanics put together feels so oversaturated right now
The man simply just dont like heat interrupting the flow of the match and fails to pay attention to the actual issues the game has (cheaters, balancing, plugging)
@@i3ssb00st5 I didn't want to bring this us because it's a man behavior's issue. Just like microtrasaction if that's what players wanna do then that's what they wanna do
@@rewindex3062 You too ! I'm completely on board with what you are explaining here btw. Back when the first beta came out this was one of the first things that caught my attention. The match is constantly interrupted with camera zooms and mini cutscenes.
This can only be entertaining from a spectator point of view. And a non-gamer one at that. Soon as they know a litle more about the game they'll see the redundency and get bored too eventually
The only real issue with these “cutscenes” is the fact that the clock keeps ticking, and shaves off potentially crucial seconds from the match. Moves like giant swing are terrible for last second comebacks because the damage doesn’t register until the opponent hits the ground/wall seconds after the throw, and this is made worse by these cutscenes wasting time from an already short round.
Has that ever not been the case though? Also the clock stops anywhere where one character is frozen while another is in a cutscene, heat burst/rage, only keeps going for heat smash, like any other move
Tekken 8 is the worst tekken by a country mile and any OG realizes that it is not tekken. Heat is the antithesis to tekken and no amount of fixing, patching, or adjusting will ever make this braindead, brainrot, mechanic work. This game needs to die and die fast. It spits in the face of everything that the Tekken series has built up until this point. Want an authentic Tekken experience, play 5DR.
idk but judging by your logic getting a combo is equivalent to these so called "cutscenes" as it removes your enemies ability from inputting anything for a while, no? but actually you can input something when your opponent does his heat cutscenes, most are steppable plus in the latest patch power crush beats heat burst
During a combo at least one out of two people is actively doing something and the information is all visibly there. If you're being combo'd you are thinking about what to do on wake up, pressing for tech roll in case they drop, planning for how to get out of the wall situation. During a heat burst or a rage art animation, all you're doing is wondering if the game counted your step in time. Did I animation cancel my stance in time? Am I airborne? am I blocking? are they blocking? Did he press into my rage? did the game count my jab or did he press rage first? Will my low cancel the heat burst? will my grab hit the heat burst in time? We could be spending time thinking about what to do next but it isn't always clear what even happened until the animation is done. I dont really have a big problem with it but I wouldn't count these two as the same.
So basically you didnt like things that interrupts the flow of the match. Thats understandable i knew some folks who didnt like it either but they still enjoyed the game But this is not the reason why T8 had it rough recently and this isnt the first time either, T7 back then had it rough too and most its problems were fixed before the console release. You have to remember that t8 is the very first ever tekken to be release globally and on consoles and PCs. Older tekkens were first released in arcades and they used the arcade version as a form of testing ground so they can have an idea on what to fox and what to improve. This video is honestly pointles and probably just for clicks lol, this is not an offense, i just think you could've done more research on why you think this thing or that thing is the reason. And would it surprise you if alot of the negatives are mostly because ppl were mad that Bamco added mtx after the positive reviews? That one was understandable but thats abt it. Ofcourse some are valid like the pluggin, cheating, balancing issue, heat, etc. So many other things that are actual issues besides the sudden mtx and this. Recently they been doing an ok job at fixing things up especially with the 1.05 patch where heat now have a counterplay (beong able to step heat burst if ypu sidestep in advance for example) they even gave characters like Kazuya and Paul buffs since they seem to not be doin great. I xan list alot of other things but yea there you go. Next time do you research before making videos like this, and no im not shilling either im just not the type to always complain abt everything problematic this game have because i know yall will do that for me lol
if you call those cutscenes then games like SF and MK are nothing but cutscenes since they have special moves!and won't a full attack animation be considered cutscenes then? like a jab is a 10 frame cutscene and a df1 a 13 frame one? so every fighting game is nothing but cutscenes then!
I mean as face value "cutscenes" (or animations) in fight games are great. It's more about percentage scale. And tekken have one of the fastest rounds already I don't think having a bunch of fancy things like a blazblue or anime game suit it.
I think the cinematic aspect of the gameplay is a stretch. It doesn’t completely take away from the game as you’d think. As far as video critique goes, the music takes me away from giving the video attention. Also the introduction itself doesn’t draw me in as it goes straight to the gameplay without any context of what it is that it’s about. The random cuts to text sequence also breaks the flow of the video.
Aight I understand. I mostly wanted to go straight to the point on this one since it exclusivly envolve gameplay and therefore kinda self explanatory. (Now you know how tekken music is like for the last decade so far 😂)
"Interuptions" "Cinematics" if you prefere those terms. But on at the end of the day if tapping one button (which was unavoidable until 2 weeks ago btw) make the game pauses for 3+ seconds how else you want me to call it at some point?
@@QU141. The cutscenes'll also become the boring part as you'll get use to it unfortunatly. It does serve its purpose of letting players think their next move tho. But as someone who played DBFZ and GGST trust me, those animations are gonna drive you insane really fast regardless of how cute they are
@@rewindex3062 No, they won't, i've been playing the games that you mentioned and other fighting games with those animations for more than a decade now, I think you are the one who just hates them. And tekken aint even that bad, the heat animations are literally like 2 seconds long... and the rage arts are like 10 seconds. And people don't even use them that much Nothing compared to other games like mortal kombat (I enjoy the animations in that game too)
@@QU141. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed the Wallbreak and all that. But with this Tekken it's too much. Probably cuz tekken rounds are too short for that. I think one of them mecanics gotta go or atleast be in the same meter like in T7
Good point, but i think at least half of the dislikes are there because of this annoying "music" ... This is also one of the reason why some people didn't like Rage Art, it cuts right in the middle of the action. And that's also the main reason why i didn't like playing against devil jin in Tekken 7. Every combo he made = forced to endure a cutscene.
Rage what a bit less annoying in T7. But it all boils down to oversaturation for this one. And for the music well I guess know now how Tekken soundtracks feels like so far 😂
Merci de dire les termes le boss t8 c'est une grosse deception meme sf6 m'a pas autant decu , le pire c'est qu'ils continuent dans leur direction pourrie
@@rewindex3062 Tekken 7 still has its servers up. You could go back to everyone moving like they have shackles on their feet. Having these features actually give you a little more time to think about your gameplan. Just because a small group of you don't like the new features doesn't mean the game is on its way to fail. Tekken Tag 2 was a great game but it failed and almost killed the franchise. You know why? Because it didn't have "cutscenes". Blame new players and their ADHD. Lol
@@Righteous_Rojinin defense to them new players Ppl just like cool things it depends on what kinda person u are and thats ok Yknow if fronsoftware ever made a fighting game im gonna bet a small amoujt of the fgc will play it due to how hard it would be but dont quote me on that
@@i3ssb00st5 I'm not mad. I love it and I've adapted. It makes the game cooler in my opinion. What's more boring is someone backdashing all day waiting for you to whiff or do something launch punishable. I came to play Tekken; they came to waste time.
Well I didn't mention disconecting and microtransactions cuz at the end of the day if that's what the players 're into then thats what it is. That doesn't make it less of a problem tho
@@rewindex3062 i think he means the cutscenes part they you talked abt. Most like to see cool stuff, so onviously adding something cinematic makes perfect sense as long as its not too intrusive and witht he recent patch i think they are doing alright they just gotta keep that momentum.
