In my head Canon Dragonball ended with DBZ. Everything that followed is fan fic to sell more toys and merch. Idc if its a story from toriyama or anyone else...

I would imagine there's more community interest in things like continued animation of the manga or the story past the end of DBZ, or Vegeta going to Vampa like it was foreshadowed or exploring the universes we didn't see in the ToP or even more character development of the other Z fighter, etc.... But yeah.... let's go with some random filler story with all toddler characters

0:12 Me personally, I did not have the expectation that the Moro arc was going to be animated. Currently the Super manga has two major arcs and one mini arc. If they were to work on and subsequently release a Super continuation project right around now it wouldn't be long before the anime catches up to the manga, which was one of the issues the original broadcast of the Super anime had when it surpassed the manga's pace. One of the points in your video stresses that mistakes such as creating non-canon stories shouldn't be repeated. Shouldn't the same sentiment extend to the mistake of the anime catching up too quickly with the manga? As a side note: Not that my expectation is that everyone thinks this way or has this opinion, but I thought a large part of the community didn't like the Moro and Granolah arc or at least had mixed feelings on it. It's a bit of a strange thing to see tons of people flip around now and suddenly gassing them up, wanting to see them animated, and in turn, majorly disappointed at the reveal of another project. Heck, many people didn't like Super in general and only liked it more towards the end, yet still are gassing it up and calling on it to return. 1:21 I can't quite agree with the notion that Dragon Ball was never a storyteller. Dragon ball uses action and fights to great effect and they are quite prominent but there were still good plot beats scattered throughout Dragon Ball's run that made Dragon Ball what it is. The narrative is the backbone of its fights and action I feel. 2:22 While Toei is an easy scapegoat for a lot of problems in Dragon Ball (some of them valid...) in this case I don't agree. Toriyama has actively been at the helm designing the story, the setting, overviewing animation as well as some of the designs. Toriyama's influence here is heavily felt on this particular project so I don't really think it would be correct to conclude its just Toei doing Toei things or just a soulless cashgrab as some have speculated. It has a lot of heart put into it since it's meant to celebrate the original manga's anniversary, which is made apparent with what we have so far seen with the animation, art style and Toriyama's heavy involvement. 3:00 While I recognise the merit of the critiques you have raised on this project, I can't say the same about you asserting that everyone must be somewhat disappointed with it. I am not, and I can imagine and have seen that other people are not as well. You likely didn't mean or wanted to imply that *literally* everyone must be somewhat disappointed with it but nonetheless I found it a superfluous comment to make that wasn't necessary to establish your overall point. I don't particularly mind everyone being turned into kids, the animation and art style look really good, a lot of high profile staff working on it, Nyoi Bo is making a return which is goated, the series will focus on Dragon Ball's world building and lore which is very intriguing, Shin will be a prominent character which I feel he has been lacking for a very long time and etc. I was rather indifferent when I first heard of Dragon Ball Magic (thank god they changed that name...) and the idea of Goku and Shin turning into kids but I'm quite excited for fall of 2024 to roll around now that I've seen the trailer. Now, you've gone into your points on why everyone turning into kids is a bad decision based on the fallings of DBGT in that aspect. And you're not unjustified to be critical on that plot point since they're obviously taking inspiration from GT. I of course could be wrong on some points because we don't have too many details, but I feel Daima is going into a different direction with it. 1. Everyone is turning into kids rather than just Goku. This is quite different from what GT did and serves to effectively nerve everyone from the cast, which is a good thing when it comes to the stakes and is a good opportunity to have some other characters more involved in resolving the conflict. 2. Somewhat unlike GT, Goku and the rest of the fighters will face a regression of power as Toriyama stated. That's not only positive for again, the stakes, but it also serves as an excuse for Goku to rely on the Nyoi Bo again to make up for his petite size which we haven't seen used in years. (And maybe flying nimbus if we're lucky because he seems to struggle with flying.) I neither think it should be assumed that Daima will be a GT 2.0 nor that everyone turning into kids is all there is gonna be to the story. Even GT didn't do that when Goku turned into a kid. I regard it more as a plot tool rather than a narrative focus. I think others could stand to consider that and at least give the show a chance before dunking on it prematurely. With all of those critiques out of the way, I still did like your video, your presentation is quite good and your other video topics seem interesting enough so maybe I'll be compelled to watch some more of your videos. I certainly don't intend for my critisisms to come over as just hating on your video rather than providing my thoughts on it with meaningful commentary. I wish your channel budding growth.

I hope this community understands that Dragon Ball super is technically not canon either the existence of super contradicts the cannon of Dragon Ball . Dragon Ball has multiple continuities and timelines Dragon Ball manga ended in 1995 and is the one true Cannon everything else are either anime's adaptations or spine offs
