Comedy show chronicling the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Last episode of The Dream "Sublime Saturday (World Peace, If We Want It)". Roy and HG commentate the synchronized swimming.
@@myfingershavethefluThat is utter nonsense. I was there at the time and it was a wonderfull mix of different sporting events. Every one was having a great time and the athletes seem to be enjoying the experience.
The balance was slightly out of kilter. Exceptional though it was, truly, this would have been a performance for ages, if only it had evoked a little less John Bradfield and a little more Jack Lang.
How is it any less of a sport than diving or gymnastics? Sports aren't only about speed and strength. They are also about balance, coordination, grace and form.
In every Olympics, Roy & HAITCH G, endlessly sent up the various Olympic events, especially with girls in skimpy gear flaying their legs and showing they're goods so giving spectacular 'winks'. I recall those special times now, when men were men and wink were what you thought they were.
Goodness!! You’ve rewritten your own tiny bigoted version of history there darling. There was absolutely no focus on “girls in skimpy gear” for Roy & HG. If you think Olympic swimming costumes are ‘skimpy’ god help the women in your life. As the genius alpha male you’d like to think you are, you’ve entirely missed that Roy & HG are characters, not real people and those characters were created as piss takes of the kind of of bloke who’d say something like “when men were men”. They despise toxic male attitudes like yours. Fuck I love irony.
@@minty5585 Lovely scope. Reads well. 10/10 for spelling. Pity you're wrong. Instead of having a chip on your shoulder you should have just moved on. They made fun of both sexes and yes the uniforms and there 'appearence' of personal areas and positions they assumed. I'm many many shows. In fact they made fun of the sort of pompous people your comment appears to indicate you are. Yes, irony indeed.
@@andyrob3259 You are correct sweet Andy, they did make fun of both sexes! Not "especially girls in skimpy gear" back when "men were men". You seem to share the 'chip on my shoulder' as you argued my exact point. 8/10 for spelling.
