There was a time when people did a lot more than kissing and hugging on the back row. 😂 Depending on which flea pit you were in for your Saturday evening out .
I go too sleep every night listening too these guys lovely songs makes me feel like a teenager again and now that I'm in love again it's special thanks Guys
Rachel Lisette yes they were. I grew up with many brothers and sisters and got to listen to many types of music like this - makes me smile - just beautiful and classy.
@@jennyrickard2005 The Drifters hardly they get the recognition they deserve, especially their 70s output so I for one aint ashamed to speak the truth!😁
( A Montawn).... Valeu. ...
Oh I remember when this came out they had talent and were very classy these were real performers love all of their music I grew up with them the good old days
my nan used to play the drifters when cleaning and we always had a listen dance, i was only 6 when she passed, their songs bring back so many good memories
Man - almost painful to hear wonderful songs like this again. Growing up as a teenager in my beloved hometown of Copenhagen in 70-ties combined the comfort and security of a small community with all the wonderful and exiting vibes coming in from outside. Remember how I felt that the world was much more open to us than ever. Proved to be through and I haven't seen the same kind of excitement with my children. But again - they are just excited by something else - every generation has their own "thing". But man - it was great and I'm so grateful of having been there with all of you:)!
One of my kids likes the grunge that I can't stand, other likes the synth pop or Techno (I don't know which Is the difference between them) but it is easier to listen, sometimes I like some of those songs, I can find some sense of harmony in them
Aw, I just love all the comments here! Peace, cos we are all listening to the same music! Many countries together... we all know how talented these guys were, and wish their music was still around today! Very talented guys, we all love! Xx
This really brings back good memories of friends who are no longer around. I was on my first air force posting after basic training when this came out and we used to play it continuously. Happier times when I was young!
My dad bought my mum The Drifters 23 Original Hits LP on vinyl for her birthday when I was a kid and I listened to it again and again - we still have the album and I'm now 52 years old.
Greetings everyone from Glasgow Scotland uk this is just an absolute brilliant classic song I'm still listening to this belter of a classic that will never grow old I'm listening in 2020
Love this song 🎵 my mum and dad used to play it on a radio gram wooden record player i was only a nipper but music from happier better magical times I will never forget!!! 😎🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Only one thing spoiled this song, the line""Every night I pic k you up at school, cos you're my steady date". The word SCHOOL should have been replaced by WORK,as the Drifters were around 40 at the time of recording . Only a slight alteration was needed.
