Brings back memories from 1973, she broke my heart. In 2020, I find her working in the local supermarket, we recognised each other straight away. Big hug, big laughs, and a few memories talked about. Much better days they were.
Oh yeah, I was at my peak in the 70s. Great stuff! That harmony is great. I'm so privileged to be born when women were women and men were men. I thought it normal, but then things turned to shit.
Oi jaaye amar prathom prem....there goes my first love......I will make a Bengali (Indian) version of this song and will sing it..on memory of my first love, my school's class mate , she got married , our love came to an end one day long back, we came in touch after long 32 years at our school's reunion , till today we are friends..at this age of 52 she is still so beautiful in my eyes like before when we were at the age of 17......this song of Drifters melts my heart..love for Drifters from India..from the city of kolkata....
@@STANASH Indeed, Ben E King (Benjamin Earl Nelson) left the group in 1960. Johnny Moore had two stints as lead vocalist from September 1955 through October 1957 and then returning in 1963 until 1973. There were so many line ups of the Drifters over the course of their history it's easy to lose track - all told there were more than 60 members of the various combinations of Drifters.
@@Old_Geezer Ben and Johnny were my 2 favourite lead singers in the Drifters. Sadly, I never saw Ben but I did catch Johnny on 2 different occasions when the Drifters were touring in the UK in the late 60s and early 70s. Fantastic experience.
