After watching a Hermitcraft video from BdoubleO100, I was inspired to make this video! Bdubs was discussing with other Hermits on how to make the dripleaf stay fully tilted which sparked me to make this video too!

Etho's tactic of putting a boat or something like that on a path block(any entity could work actually, no matter how small its hitbox is. Nothing's stopping you from having like a minecart hopper + dispenser setup below your roof to eternally refresh your roof with items that will barely be seen) is actually really quite genius, impressed he came up with it on the fly like that. Etho once again proving himself to be a genuine master of minecraft mechanics. I don't think it being ''eternally down'' is that important per se, as long as it gets eternally refreshed into the down stare, it's good enough for the aesthetic purposes. That's the conclusion Bdubs came to in his video too.

there has to be some super complicated relogging glitch where you drop the dripleaf and somehow break the timer. maybe light suppression in older versions? or even a packet overload thing

I loved this! Hopefully they make an update and we can use it in more ways. I also wish we could freeze the growth of pitcher pods and keep them at the one stage

thanks magpie! I really hope so too, just a simple add-on like it could stay down forever using some form of redstone (just like how it stays up if it's redstone-powered)

What about dispensed snowballs? I think they're renewable with snowmen water to break the snow layer and collect. Alternatively just have droppers throwing kelp

i like that idea! i've tried it before but the thing is the projectile has to be shot from the top, meaning u need to have some kind of redstone contraption in the air constantly shooting snowballs, which could be pretty hard to do aesthetics wise

I'm sure it's possible with some type of block update suppression, but I don't know how to do it. lol I'm just taking a wild guess.

yea, i also have no idea :( if there was a way to /tick freeze them dripleaves in Vanilla Minecraft that would be sick

block update suppression is prolly the best bet. DocM77 fooled around with block suppression in Hermitcraft 6/7 and did a few impossible things with portals, making portals 1 block wide and so forth.
