I'm still in love with this band. I was there when they first came out. The drums, the xx, and vampire weekend were some prime bands that all came about at the same time.
Heard and discovered the drums when this music video was playing on repeat on MTV Mexico. I had to get a tumor removed from my back, so my parents sent me on a bus to Mexico because the procedure would be cheaper. It was a depressing time, but the drums helped get me thru it when I was bedridden. I always enjoyed watching the music video.
The Drums are all about taking the best from the past, owning it and creating an even better thing from it, that will influence others for years to come.

la primera vez en MTV push la verdad me parecio un poco nerd su forma de vestir pero me engancho la cancion igual que tu sigo disfrutando la cancion como el primer dia , tenian esa onda retro incluso en la saturacion de las fotos y videos y hoy dia es algo que se utiliza bastante en ese tiempo cuando ellos lo hacian era algo que no se veia tanto realmente eso los hace geniales y originales solo que no se aprecio la banda y la propuesta en su momento

The Drums is the only band that, no matter where I am: in public or in my bedroom, I can just start dancing freely to whenever i put them on. A type of dancing where you know it looks stupid but i'm having too much fun to even care haha

Eu ouvi essa música a primeira vez quando eu era bem criança. E não fazia ideia de como achar essa música novamente pra poder ouvir. Não lembrava a letra, eu mal falava inglês. Passei anoooss da minha vida só pensando nessa música e nesse clipe. Até que finalmente encontrei. Uma sensação de alívio. Só quem é doido como eu vai entender.
