+Steve Krause Exasperating, I recall we used to listen very actively to music, picking out each element and working out how they produced the sound - mind you we were musicians! But yep it seems attention and respect for musical work is non-existent in these days among adults and teenagers alike, we all have access to whatever we want and people seem to just superficially appreciate music, like it is just 'there'.

Music is an amazing experience shaded by your age and experience. Those of us over a certain age marvel at how well the musicians perform and how well they sound. Those under a certain age comment how Michael looks like Jay Leno and the sax player looks like Bruce Willis. Not sure when MUSIC became mainly a visual experience where ears are not used but I am of the opinion it wasn't a good transition. :-(

He came from somewhere back in her long ago The sentimental fool don't see Trying hard to recreate What had yet to be created once in her life She musters a smile For his nostalgic tale Never coming near what he wanted to say Only to realize It never really was She had a place in his life He never made her think twice As he rises to her apology Anybody else would surely know He's watching her go But what a fool believes he sees No wise man has the power to reason away What seems to be Is always better than nothing And nothing at all keeps sending him Somewhere back in her long ago Where he can still believe there's a place in her life Someday, somewhere, she will return She had a place in his life He never made her think twice As he rises to her apology Anybody else would surely know He's watching her go But what a fool believes he sees No wise man has the power to reason away What seems to be Is always better than nothing There's nothing at all But what a fool believes he sees

I watched The Warner Brothers Music Show in the early 70´s feat. Little Feat, Graham Central Station and The Doobie Brothers feat. Michael McDonald in one concert in Hamburg for 35 German marks omg the price were very cheap at this time

This would be so good if the vocals weren’t pitch “corrected.” Its vomit inducing. Engineers need to STOP. RIGHT NOW. Stop ruining singing and music.

Many comments about how much Michael McDonald looks like Jay Leno and no one noticed how much he sounds like Boxcar Willie doing Roy Acuff's Wabash Cannonball? WTF?
