GREAT video! I viewed 3-4 other vids, and dIsagreed with either their reasoning/verbal instructions, or the visual/video was not a true reflection proper snatch mechanics. Job, WELL DONE!

The variation of dumbbells is extremely useful for a small person like me ru-vid.comUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 But the dumbbell size being large it's hard to do certain exercises like deadlift ( I have to have my hands and legs a bit wider to accommodate the size of the DB )Otherwise happy with the purchase. No excuse not to lift weight when it's snowing outside.

Should someone be using a lighter weight for this exercise, or push themselves by using a heavier weight and do fewer reps?

Likely depends on if you can do it with proper form. Better to start with a lower weight until you have the move perfected. Then gradually move up.

You should be comfortable with the movement before dealing with heavier weights. Choose a weight that feels comfortable to use and do as many reps as neccessary to nail the moment down. Only then would I consider moving up in weight. Always remember, safety first!

His triple extension is ass tho. He doesn't get on his toes he keeps his feet in constant dorsiflexion

@@Bezmenov93 nah see that's where crossfit gyms teach it suboptimally sometimes. It's a jumping motion that doesn't mean you should jump. The correct and most efficient way which is going to be a massive impact on the amount you can lift is to extend fully on the toes heels off the ground and then to drop yourself under the weight asap. This eliminates most use of the shoulder to push the weight out. This person keeps their feet completely straight which not only is bad for the knees on impact but also going to lose him more strength then gain it.
