I used to be scared of horror movies before. However, this all changed when my friend told me that I was having too much empathy towards the victims of the villain who were just stupid.
Horror movies make me question if am actually smart cause seeing people make stupid decisions just makes me mad it makes me think im Albert Einstein or some shit 💀
I think it’s mostly people of slightly below average intelligence who feel smarter when someone in a movie does something stupid. So in my opinion, you’re probably no Albert Einstein. Try having fun and just watch a movie.
Here’s the thing with Chucky, 1. he has been studying Voodoo his whole life, so watch out for that. 2. By the end of Chucky season 1(haven’t seen season 2 yet), he has a whole army of chuckies at his command.

You couldnt beat Chucky. He has the strenght of a full grown man and he can use guns and knives. He'll set up traps and sneak on you while youre not expecting it. "Ill just go find him and kick him" Once you get in ur car hes in the backseat waiting to stab you in the back.
In Saw Jigsaw and his apprentice kidnap people who aren't grateful for live and puts them in the deadly games to make them grateful, so you got the plot kind of right
They also put in someone lie being a saw trap, someone fucking with hearthcare, a slow man who lose his son, and anyone did something bad to John or any apparents.
Saw also can anticipate the human mind, so while you beat him in strength, he beats you always in IQ, that's why it took so long to kill him in Saw III
With the ghostface one i can see you are only judging off scream 6, and when you said that their are no police looking for him, in the previous movies, he has an entire town looking for him
Like someone said earlier, Pennywise isnt a clown, he is an entity from space and is essentially the embodiment of all evil, he crash landed on earth thousands of years ago and eats kids, he has the power to see what they fear most and he can turn into them or make them have visions of them, as their fear makes him stronger and makes them taste better, he generally takes the form of a clown to lure in the children so he can eat them.

This isn't some goofy monster by the way, it is literally your deepest darkest secrets, anxieties, worries, PTSD, right there in front of you. It's not that easy to say you're not afraid. If it was easy to do that, life would be a whole lot easier cuz people wouldn't be so afraid.
You can hurt Chucky but he always comes back. You can run from him but not forever. He's claimed the lives of plenty of adults. He only pursues Andy because Andy is the first person who he told that he is alive, and at the time he believed that Andy was the only person he could possess. Andy has only escaped him as a child because he's very fast and had a lot of help. As an adult, Andy has dedicated his life to tracking and attempting to stop Chucky but still has not been successful. Chucky is badass.
Jigsaw himself is not scary, what he could do is, he has adepts wich would kidnap you even in public and lock you up inevitably in a death trap when the only option is to prove an extreme pain and maybe lose a part of the body to find a key (or in some cases there is no exit and you just die in a gruesome and painful death). Saw movies are scary because they show what possibily a human can do if they were deranged enough and had resources to do so.

The whole point of the Scream villian's cheap mask was to be satirical. Scream is a semi-comedic film meant to make fun of horror films in general. For example, the killer's store-bought mask is frequently poked at by the characters for being a dumb horror movie cliche.
People in the saw franchise can't really win against Jigsaw aka John Kramer even tho he is old and has cancer , Its because he is extremely intelligent and can anticipate the human mind like nobody else. And SPOILER ALERT ,he does die in the 3rd movie and his diciples carry his legacy after that. Its his intelligence that makes him strong and keeps him 10 steps ahead of his victims. I am a huge Saw fan as you can tell. So in my opinion there are smart characters that makes smart decisions and also there are some dumb characters ya know, that ofc dies. I see what you mean with scream. But to be honest, in the most part it's hard as hell to deal with the killers. They can be hiden between friends, all your friends, they can gang up on you, manipulate, wear bullet proof vests, and all that crazy stuff. So yeah, it's not easy man. Oh, and don't forget about Gale Weathers making books and stuff after you get to death yhe killers. She's like 86% the reason why killers keep coming and stuff.
Jigsaw is clever enough to not be confronted in situations and if he is then you should know he has a reason for it also he has goons who will protect him

At first glance chucky seems easy, but not only as of now has his strength increased exponentially, but can spread his soul into many different dolls, and even posess you then blow you up from the inside. If you ran into chucky from the early movies you'd be fine but as of now anyone is cooked.

Jigsaw has to be one of the horror movie villains with one of the dumbest morals ever. Putting people through death games isn’t gonna make them appreciate life, it’s gonna make them paranoid asf if they escape
People have tried to control their dreams to defeat Freddy. Dream Warriors was all about a group of teens who had dream powers. They still died. In another there was a guy who made himself a superhero to fight Krueger. He died as well. Freddy is a dream demon. You can't take him on his own terms. You ain't punting Chucky either. He knows he's easily overpowered so he isn't coming at you straight on. He's sneaking around and jumping you when you least expect it. He knows he ain't winning in a fair fight so he makes it a point to ensure he has the advantage before he tries anything.
they really misrepresented Pennywise in the movie tbf. fear isn't his power, its what gives his food taste. if novel pennywise wanted a kid dead just for the sake of the kid being dead, that kid is cooked. sure, the power of mental fortitude goes far in defeating IT, but it was never supposed to be the ONLY thing to destroy the interdimensional creature
