The Dupe Situation Explained 

Before commenting anything, please watch the video through and read the forum post. Here's the link: hypixel.net/threads/about-the-situation-with-pigicial.2591253/ I've been reading the comments and people are saying things, but they seem to be unclear and haven't read the forum post I would also like to openly apologize to the Hypixel staff team for any troubles that this has caused. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. The first thing to address is my reason for the chat messages seeming too much like a coincidence and not real: I've made a few jokes in the past that, in my eyes, were obviously not glitches. And they weren't! The point of those past jokes (which I'm just assuming I made since skyblock has been out for a while, I don't actually remember me making any) was to seem very obviously not like a glitch. In my eyes, my joke attempt didn't seem like it could be a dupe glitch at all when saying it, but it was, and it was a coincidence. But it wasn't really a "crazy rare coincidence" or anything. Since the glitch was so easy to do on accident, I think it makes sense why it was a coincidence. One thing I'll do going forward is to think more about the things I say, especially if they're referring to any possible bugs. Also, I'm fine with the punishment I got, I think it's justified and deserved

As someone who doesn’t play skyblock, I find this most entertaining.

TL:DR: 1. pigicial tried to troll people 2. the troll turned out to be a dupe glitch 3. pigicial got blocked from skyblock for a couple of days because he was "advertising glitches" and had his YT rank removed for 1 month 4. people who abused the glitch was rolled back

Less of a question but a point someone showed a stack of 40 over-flux capacitors which he claimed to get from a duped glitch so i think it would be over 1 billion

I got banned by watchdog for "hacking" when i had crap wifi and i kept teleporting backwards or thru blocks it didnt benefit me whatsoever

TLDR: (did I miss anything? Pigicial right clicked a backpack, and it disappeared - wanted to troll people and said that doing it would "it duplicates items" as bait, not knowing that it actually was a dupe glitch (situational irony). Therefore unintentionally, Pigicial spread out the information of how to dupe and got YT rank removed for a month, as well as Skyblock banned for a week.

The reason Pigicial added the "It'll duplicate it" is the same reason people say "Throw your pickaxe into lava for free enchants" he wanted people to actually attempt it and he wanted a reaction.

If I ever found a dupe glitch I will just report it to the admins I don't like dupe glitches I like gamebreakers tho Then ill find another dupe glitch and dupe the gamebreaker

In my opinion its kinda good that he spread it unintentionally. If only a few found out, and he wasnt involved, it wouldve taken a longer time for staff to figure out the dupe was being used. People that knew the dupe wouldve duped way way more than they couldve, but since Pigicial accidentally spread the dupe glitch, more people found out in which it was brought to quicker attention by the staff.

I found out about the dupe glitch bc palabow was streaming and duped his taran set

There used to be a glitch with a furnace where you would smelt an item (like diamond ore) and you would have a full inventory. When shift clicking on the smelted item, you would get collection. Doesn't work anymore though.

So let me get this straight so I understand everything. So you tried to troll everybody in the lobby but it turned out to be a dupe glitch that you didn’t even know about. And you’re getting in trouble for it even though YOU never used the dupe glitch But the people that did use it and abused it aren’t getting in trouble? Just rolled back?

At first I was really mad because I genuinely like you and the content you make, but I knew there was another side to the story. Thanks to both you and Simon for clearing things up. There was many malicious rumors that were getting out of hand. I hope this doesn't end the same as the tayber situation. Most comments from this video are going to be favored toward pig's side of the argument because that is what this video is on, I have seen a couple of other youtuber's videos on this and the forum post and have taken into account both sides of the argument (pigical is wasting the admin's time and he shouldn't have spread it, he should have posted it and it was just an accident), I would think that losing youtuber rank is a bit too much because I don't think there is any way for him to get it back now. The temp-ban from skyblock seems reasonable to say some positive critique on the hypixel staff's work.

Honestly, even if you didn’t mean to, you still shared the dupe glitch, so you’re still responsible.

Ok I haven’t seen the thread but “advertising” the dupe glitch was a way of REPORTING it, because people will not want it, because they are either new or poor and can’t do it, or they have a good sense of fairness and are not selfish. Concluding: I think Pig is in the right by advertising.

now that you explained it from your side it makes more since but again skyblock yters have to be careful about what they do or else risk getting bullyed into depression by the forums (such as the thirtyvirus solo profile where he had to do it to avoid the massive hate by the forums) but people didn't have all the info so we blamed you because that's all the info we had, that you were involved also many forum users think that yters get lots of special treatment from the staff team (which ngl, some of you do)
