In our family this is called " The Crocodile Song". My Father used to sing around the house and this was in the hit parade. He was very confused when I kept asking him to "Sing the crocodile song, Daddy" He finally worked out that I meant "See the pyramids along the Nile, Watch the sun rise on a crocodile"

@birdsfan25 Good for you birdsfan25, I am a huge fan of music, and always was. My dad played the trumpet, so I grew up with music. When I started listening to the music called rock and roll my dad hated it. But I loved it, and the Dupree's are my favorite group of ALL time. Every song was awsome. School dances, memories, the innocence of youth. Times were much slower, we were pure, just the way I wish it was today. bird, aka C MCD

The real lead singer of this song Joey "Van" Canzano is not in this video. Canzano is to the Duprees what Jimmy Beaumont is to the Skyliners.

That's Mike Kelly singing lead in the video, but he is lip-syncing to Joey Vann's voice. When Vann left around 1965 Kelly returned to lead the group. He had the VOICE.

Sylvia Pedroza All of the Duprees' hit songs were from 1962-64 and led by Joey Vann, long before Petillo joined them. Mike Kelly was with them before and then after their hit years. He had a CLASSIC lead voice, much better than Vann. You can hear him on their "Let Them Talk" from 1966. He died about 3 years ago at 68.
