So happy that when Gene Autry couldn't get Smiley for his new Columbia line of pictures, he got another sidekick role with Charles Starrett (who, altogether, made the most westerns of them all!). Everybody loved Smiley, from the audience to his fellow filmmakers and added great value to films he was in with his musical and comedic skills. Needless to say, I'm a big fan of his!
Now that's what you call a very smart Outlaw ride a distinctive colored paint horse but he wear the mask anyway all those old Outlaw Auto be on Social Security
Im sorry Mr Klein But Smiley Burnette tends to ruin all these westerns with his foolish tricks and pure immaturity. Did real cowboys have idiotic sidekicks in those days where lawlessness prevailed ? I don't think so. So i agree with comment from Elchoya. And the singing has got to go as well.
sorry you did not like it. as a man who grew up with these old westerns, it seemed to be a good standard western, with action, comedy and music . what more could you ask for?
So, the obvious question is,”Why bother watching something that doesn’t meet your exacting standards?” These films were never intended as adult entertainment. Those of us who do enjoy them are simply revisiting that period in our lives when we were kids.
