@@mattymcfly8116 Funny when the Jets won on Sunday nobody was saying the Titans gave it away 😂 Aaron Rodgers was getting praise for leading them to a win Yet Kirk was lucky the Eagles gave it away lmfaoo
@@stewie4467 It absolutely was not the right call. It was the first quarter, you take the points over going for it. Its not like it was late in the game and they needed a TD over a FG. The score was 0-0 in the first quarter...
@jizz1488 it's stephen a he's talking about. Go back and listen he's always hated on the Falcons. I know this because I'm a fan and have never heard him talk nice about em
@@xuexxiongyou mean the play where the Eagles got home cooking and the refs didn’t call the obvious pass interference? Yeah? That was definitely an incompletion.
There's a reason why they said "Defense wins championships". Eagles defense, more change, but still stays the same like last year. Drafted all those players from Georgia, even drafted some top CBs this year, and still couldn't stop Kirk.
What’s crazy is if you are a fan of Georgia you know they can get to the QB. It should in theory be easy to just match what Kirby was/is doing as the players are used to that system
This guy's Always do not give Kirk cousins any credit for nothing. They hate him for whatever reason it's obvious. So let's give props like a most teeth. Would about the quarterback the homes? Whoever, when they have a winning drive and quit blaming blaming blame and blame it, this is so stupid.
Sirianni lost that game! Hand it off to Barkley & even if he loses a yard the clock keeps ticking. Also why does Sirianni continue to not kick the field goals? That 3 points cost us this loss & a few last year! TAKE THE POINTS! I was on the fence about him, but now he needs to go. He has learned NOTHING from last year. A childish gambler instead of a smart winner.
@@pennytrue2741agree and you have a top offensive Line they should have ran the ball or if they didn’t get it the clock would have been still running Atlanta had no timeouts
Saying that loss is on Barkley is whack. Sirianni passed up 3 points in the first quarter. If they kicked that then they win. My point is that everyone gets blamed for a loss.
@@timothy8484 Negative my friend watch the replay. Terrell bumped Smith just enough to disrupt his route and he couldn't get to the ball. If that doesn't happen I won't say Smith catches the ball but Bates wouldn't have had position to pick the ball. I'm usually pretty hard on Hurts but he put that ball exactly where he should have on that route maybe it wasn't the right throw to make but calling it forced is a stretch there was definitely space for Smith to get that ball if he hadn't lost his balance. That loss isn't on Hurts entirely he played good enough to win the game and when he left the field they had a lead and the Falcons had no timeouts. I would say mostly situational coaching (yeah Barkley should have caught the ball but you still need to run the ball in that situation) and soft defense are the biggest culprits. Fangio needs to mix up his play calling and Sirianni needs to take his points when he can get them.
I listened to the game on the radio, (Westwood One) when Barkley dropped the pass, Kurt Warner was all over the Eagles for that play. "They have no timeouts, why would they dial up a passing play when they could have just run the ball". Very poor coaching by Philly, but hey, if they're going to gift wrap a win for Atlanta, the Falcons might as well take it.
Everyone is talking about Barkley dropping the pass but fail to realize Bijan dropped a easy pass early in the game where he had a good chance of housing it. Falcons capitalized off the eagles stupidity and they took the game! You don’t give wins away in the nfl. They are earned!
From a die hard Eagles fan, we had ZERO pass rush all game, that's why we lost. Not Barkley, not Hurts, anyone that knows football can't be blaming the offense, we made Kirk Cousins look like Brady at times....FACTS
Cousins did not have all day. He was throwing dimes with pressure in his face and he always does. The throws he makes are the ones Tom Brady used to make routinely and the ones people pretend Mahomes makes when he’s slinging two yard screens sidearm and behind his back to make ESPN go crazy. Since 2015, cousins is second in 4th quarter comebacks to Brady and he has the nfl record for most comebacks in a season. He tied Stafford in 2022 for most 4th quarter comebacks in a single season with 8. No QB is hated irrationally more than Cousins. Josh Allen is up there too but at least he gets credit for being great.
I’ve been a Falcons fan since 1980 and I remember many times where they got 2 or 3 turnovers and still weren’t good enough to win. Every team they have ever played has made mistakes and had bad plays. Those mistakes are meaningless unless they are good enough to capitalize on them. It’s great to see them be good enough to make the Eagles pay.
@leveen2836 if we had a top 3 offensive line and a top 10 defense like we do now in 2012 with roddy, Tony, and that offense. We would have won like 5 superbowls
0.7% chance for the falcons to win with 1:39 left… UNTIL PHILLY THREW THE GAME!!! (*all things considered: NOTHING MATTERD NOT DEFENSE NOT PLAY CALLING NOT THE DROP NOTHING!!!!! Technically the eagles could’ve downed it out & still had a 96% chance to win 29 seconds left atl ball at the 8
I know last year, alot of people questioned the Falcons when they took Bijan Robinson over Jalen Carter in the draft. Jalen Carter was a non factor and was getting blown off the ball and Bijan looked like a top 5 RB yesterday. Its early, but its starting to look like the Falcons made the right decision...
Swear I thought at 5:43 SAS was interrupting Shannon til I heard 2 minutes to "Win the Game"....I was about to lmao 🤣🤣
And the Eagles offense had an opportunity to move the ball into FG range w 30+ seconds left. You can’t pin this on Saquon. It was one drop. It’s a team game.
So the Eagles running back dropped an easy pass. The Eagles coaching staff called a pass instead of run. The Eagles defense gave up a touchdown on a last minute drive. And an Eagles cornerback got beat badly on the WR route…. And it’s not the Eagles fault?! Lol
Stephen A is wrong (again). He didn't consider the fact that ATL moved down the field within 1 minute! Even if they had run the ball instead of making a bonehead decision to pass, where Barkley dropped it, there still would have been a minute left. The Falcons drove the ball down the field within that time. Philly's problem is situational football coaching and defense. In the end, ATL WON the game. Why ESPN still has Stephen on the payroll is mindboggling!
Why is no one talking about the fact that sorry azz, Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles had the ball with 35 seconds left in the game, starting the drive from their own 35-yard line? They only needed to get into field-goal range to win, and then Jalen Hurts threw an interception to none other than Jessie Bates III, the quarterback killer!
As a eagles fan I'm starting to think our politically correct, smooth talking , 500+ pound squatting, out spoken leader amongst men, nice hairline having QB may not know how to throw a football. With the receivers we have and with that O line and Saquon we need a QB that is calm from the pocket with a cannon that knows how to throw a deep accurate ball with some mobility.
People don’t understand how important it is to have a veteran helping a rookie out especially at QB. Brady had Bledsoe,Dak had Romo,Young had Montana,Rodgers had Farve etc. Never call a man a bust who has had a great leader to at least help him understand how the game needs to be played
Take points when you can. I remember that was a standard for NFL teams. Now they listen to analysis, fans and the term: Just go for it! Points are points. Don’t pass up on them.
The book should have had a real good night on that result. Eagles had a 99.3% chance of winning with under 2 minutes. Incredible collapse. I also thought Smith was bobbling the ball on two of his catches, and they should have made the Eagles return the kickoff after they scored with 34 seconds left. There coach could have been better.
Nobody saying the Falcons didn't do anything bc they did exactly what they had to to win Kirk and his offense played their buts off no question about that, but the Eagles should've closed the game better so yes they absolutely blew it!🤷🏿
RC: Stephen A If you're going to flex about how good your doo doo brown suit looks, we have definitely lowered the bar You need people in your corner who will tell you what you need to hear. Not what you want to hear 😂😂
My thing is this: Why throw the ball at all? I get it... Barkley dropped it. But if they would have just run the ball... Even if Barkley wouldn't have picked up the 1st down... They would have kicked the FG AND run off about 40 seconds leaving Atlanta with even less time to work with. You can't tell me that the Analytics didn't call for a run play in that situation 🙄 I equate this to Pete Carroll calling that pass play in the Super Bowl 😢 That made ZERO sense!!! Just like passing the ball in that situation in this game.
BLEW MY PARLAY! Barley over on the rushing yards, Swift over on the reception yards, Cousins under on the passing yards, and Eagles -5.5. I went 2 for 4
ALDON SMITH MENTIONED!! Tragic story ofc, but dude, that guy was on a HALL OF FAME TRAJECTORY those first two years. He was deadass putting up LT, Reggie White numbers. Everyone forgot about him, but he was a DPOY and MVP candidate those years.
No one is talking about Jessie Bates knocking the ball out of Phillys hands in the endzone to save a TD or Bates catching the final interception to stop Philly from getting into FG range which they werent far from. Or Cousins missing a wide open TD for Mooney. Give the Falcons credit because both teams made game changing mistakes
