Arnold R was one smart cookie as were Myer L and Lucky L. They worked great together. They also had real tough Jewish boys in Toronto and Montreal working with them. The sons of all these gangsters obtained good educations and became Doctors, Lawyers and property developers in their own in their own right. Remember, old Joe Kennedy made his money working with these guys, shipping booze in from Canada. The Bronfman Family owned the Seagram Distillery who was the prime supplier. My father in law was the favourite tailor of all these guys in Toronto and Windsor. If the suit cost $100.00 they would give him an extra $100.00 or more in US Dollars of course. They would hop over the border from Detroit. He looked very like Humphrey Bogart as a young man in his 30s. I actually. I did a double take the first time I met him.
Funny how Paul Kelly kept this name rather than his real name. The moderator keeps repeating parts of the story. The boxing match by Kelly and east men at least 10 times.
Thanks for the upload! The Jewish gangsters definitely were a huge part of the early 20th century criminal underworld. They were the inspiration behind starting my RU-vid channel too😊
The Jewish gangsters in Australia came from the same backgrounds as these guys. Sydney’s two most prominent Jewish gangsters George F and Abe S are just two prime examples. Tough guys who could be ruthless if necessary. It was called survival! They surrounded themselves with those of English and Irish ancestry namely; Smith and Ryan and many others. Obviously, the Jewish gangsters in London, Dublin, Belfast and Glasgow were also sons of European Immigrants. The great London Boxing Promotor Issac Jacob Solomons (was not a gangster) Parents were also European Immigrants. Unfortunately, these tough as old boots fight to survive or else are long gone. As is people speaking Yiddish unfortunately. It was fight to survive, nothing to do with being a Jew. That crap came later, making it necessary to fight again. Shalom.
I had to come here to comment. As far as the Carlo Gambino boss of bosses video you need to do something about the music in the background it makes the video unenjoyable
