I so enjoy reading and listening to early church history. A friend ask me a few months ago " Where in the world would you most like to visit?" I first thought Italy. But When I thought about it again I said Kirkland Temple. From Dinosaurland Ut. just one soul.
Ira and Wealtha are the third great-grandparents to my husband, and fourth great-grandparents to my children. Everytime I hear their story I am so grateful someone passed on their legacy of faith, particularly Wealtha's. She is the great, great grand-daughter of THE Captain William Bradford. Both Ira Sterns Hatch and Wealtha passed on their legacy of faith to strengthen all of their posterity.

I am a fourth-great-granddaughter of Ira and Wealtha Hatch. We always pronounced his son Meltiar's name like "MEL-TIRE" (not shouting, just both syllables are emphasized).
Thanks for the story. It's nice to be reminded what the connections are in my own family between the people and the Kirtland temple or other people and places that they did use and know.
