Ok. This 2-wheeled overnight adventure was pedaled this last May. I was using a mic to capture better spoken audio, but just hated how it sounded. So, I never published it.
You know what? I did the trip. I edited the damn video. So, here it is.
Maybe you like bike camping. Maybe you don’t.
Either way. Thanks for watching!
Cheers.

I haven’t used a bike for a camping trip since 1976. Mu best friend at that time, who recently passed away. Did 76 miles one way to a lake that we camped and fished for food. Watching this video. Brings back a lot of great memories. I need to be a kid again and break out the bike.

It’s such a great little departure of hiking & camping. Get that bike out! Lastly, did you catch anything??

Rob, this is one of the reasons why I enjoy your channel so much. I loved this. You do a great job of showing different ways to get outdoors and how you can use your backpacking supplies for car / bike camping. I like those snap on carriers for the bike. Thanks for putting this together and sharing, brother!

I actually want to do a multi travel trip with the same gear. Hiking, biking & paddling. That would be a blast. Thanks for watching!

We know what you mean about the mic. It wasn't too bad. Enjoyable video. Pretty area! Thanks Rob!

Eh. It was ok. I really like some ambient noise. Birds, tires on gravel, traffic. This mic cut all of that out. lol. At least it cut the wind too!

Looked like a great trip. I enjoy when you can put gear on the bike and not your back. Just looked up the Luce Line State Trail. We have old rail line trails in my area also.

These old rail trails are great. Easy to ride and they pass through all kinds of small towns. Love it. Thanks for watching!

What a great way to start the season - thank you for sharing. I enjoyed seeing your gear without the video being all about the gear. Instead, we got to chill with you for a while. But I do want to hear about your bike-packing gear in a future video! (Loved catching glimpses of the Swift Industries bags.) My husband and his brother bike-packed the C&O canal towpath up through the GAP Trail a few months ago and that trip has sparked my interest in both bike-packing and backpacking. I appreciate your channel, Rob! 👍

This was a trio from May, but didn’t publish it. I did talk about all my gear. I just left it out because I didn’t want to bog the video down. Perhaps I’ll just put the gear clips together for those who want to see it. Camping from a bike is just great departure from hiking. Try it. You just may love it. Thanks for the support and for watching!

I added a pair of mini panniers to my bike kit this summer as well - I don't know why I waited so long!

Watching Ryan van Duzer thinking, “That’s cool but I wish someone would post good bikepacking videos about Minnesota” and there your video was. I love riding the Luce Line. Never gone that far out though.

Van Duzer is awesome. I’m not on that level. Lol. I do have a bikepacking playlist though! ru-vid.com/group/PLSkt3JQLBnvlWYYqzTbi9qJP8rQ4xndPq&si=1Fx9RPdjs77r8x5I

Nice ! Love that tent, when I go to the ground, which isn’t often, that’s the tent I use. Too bad REI isn’t offering it anymore. Glad I have one. Thanks for sharing man !

That's cool. I'd love to do bikepacking eventually if there's no cars around lol. I got stuck watching a lot of Ryan Van Duzer bikepacking trips. Packrafting looks like fun too.

Rob, Rob, Rob. You go hiking with you know who, are eating Doritos and now following in his footsteps with the 100 miler? I need to reassess.😅 The Waupaca shirt is cool though! Thanks for your videos.

@@robpelton You guys are a great team. I just get a kick how you rib each other. Just throwing fuel on the fire! Retired now but used to run heavy equipment doing road work and big projects. We would razz each other like that everyday. Miss it but it's fun watching. Regular guys being themselves is what it's about.
