Let's talk about us short riders and cruisers. We need special treatment haha. So i decided to look up and talk about the 5 Best Cruisers for short riders! At the same time, these can also be the best cruiser motorcycles for beginners! They all had to be less than 650cc (to cut weight) and have a low seat height. Hope this helps some of you in the decision process. With that said, ride safe, and wear your gear.

If I´m not mistaken it was sold as "Suzuki LS650 Savage" in Europe... Always been a fan of it, never actually owned one though I´m now thinking about getting one... Would you recommend it? Does it need repairs often? :)

good eye on picks for your video, functional, cost efficient and keeps the rider on that edge of improving their soon to be skills and not go broke in doing so.

I have owned a Yamaha XV-250 V-Star since 2010. It is a 2009 model. I have over 16,000 miles on it and have done nothing more than routine maintenance. I am on my 3rd chain and my 3rd set of tires. Other than that all I have had to do is change the oil and filter every 1000 miles or so, and replace the battery twice, and the plugs once. I ride all year 'round. This bike is my main transport. I only use my pickup when I have something to haul that won't fit in my leather saddlebags or carrier rack behind the seat, or I have a passenger, as long as there isn't ice or snow on the road, or it isn't raining. I live in the mountains in northeast Tennessee. We have lots of switchbacks going up and down the mountains, and a lot of twisty roads. This bike handle them beautifully. I am not a small man. I stand over 6'2" tall, and weigh over 210 pounds; even so, I find the bike very comfortable to ride, even fairly long distances.. It is powerful enough to haul me on the highway at a steady 60MPH, which is frankly faster than I really like to go on a bike these days.

What about the iron 883 for beguinner short rider?
@lgwappo
@lgwappo 2 года назад
I had a Suzuki S40 & I'm 6'1" so it was a horrible choice. If your legs are at a slight bend you'll probably find it comfortable. My knees were hitting my elbows when I turned. Also it badly needs a taller top gear. At 80 it sounds like it's going to blow up. And it carbureted & jetted very lean so it sometimes backfires loudly. If you're short, on a budget & need a city bike this is worth a look. What I did like is the light weight & low-end torque. Almost impossible to stall this bike. Used to be cheap but it's going up if you're buying new.

Good video, I'm a little curious though why you chose to leave out the Indian scout sixty? I understand its a mid-level cruiser, but being a newbie myself, I love my 60 and it's no problem muscling it around town and it's a dream on the highway. Yes it's a little heavier little more expensive but in my opinion if you're going to get into motorcycling start with something that has a little more bang for your buck then most of the bikes you mentioned, except for the the Kawasaki Vulcan which I think is an excellent beginner bike and one you will not get bored with anytime soon. Just my two cents, thanks for all the good videos and advice. 🍺

the reason he left it out is he was trying to keep it under 500cc is 983cc. On a side note personally do you still like it as a bike, been thinking about getting one, either that or the new scout bobber

80 Eddie Check out a Kawasaki Vulcan S. They are very tame in the low RPM range but really come alive in the upper RPM’s. I just bought a Vulcan S ABS Cafe for less than $6,000. I absolutely love it. It not something you’ll buy and then get bored with. You can grow into it and really push it to the next level.

Kevin Knight depends on what you define "short" and "tall" height. Average is 5 ft 10", so you decide on that. But, compared to 5 ft 3" like me, then you are tall.
