I was in 4H too in Canada…it was a country thing to do. It involved teaching young girls those wifely skills! We baked bread…quilted…learned a LOT! And it was fun and social in the winter months. ❤ Good times
I didn’t have any peanuts but I did have almonds (I really wanted some chopped nuts in them ) so I used almond butter and chopped toasted almonds. I put them in a silicone mini muffin pan and sprinkled a tiny bit of flaked salt on top… They look so pretty! They’re in the freezer now, so I haven’t tasted them yet, but I will let you know how they came out.😊❤ I just ate one, and it’s delicious! ❤️❤️
Our lunchroom ladies made the non Keto version of this when I was a kid. They called them Charlie Brown’s and they used the crunchy peanut butter I think…💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
These cookies are wonderful. As per your opening dialog... I remember the oatmeal version and they were not called no bake or even haystacks in the late 1970’s. They were called Cow Pie cookies. Yep. Because those of us that were raised on a farm can see why they adopted that name. 🐂
I have toasted my coconut and it's really good, also you could add sugar free chocolate chips just to the tops, thanks for a great recipe, Sarah 😋 😋 ❤️
@Keto Karbs I like the taste, but wish they didnt sort of melt in my fingers. I did add an extra tbsp of sweetener since CJ said they could be a little sweeter.
Hello my dear,so very delicious and easy to make. Thank you so much to show us your phantastic recepies. Many greetings from Frankfurt, germany. Edith. 😊
I did 4-H in Ontario, Canada from age 12 to 21. Then was a leader for 3 years in an agriculture city. Because I grew up on a dairy farm, I did both the Home projects and the agriculture projects. I remember these Haystacks as a kid. I'll be making them with almond butter and roasted, crushed almonds. Thanks for the reminder of these very happy times.
My sister and I made these often growing up. Thanks so much for bringing this keto version to your channel...can't wait to try them. What's up with the 4H thing? Made me laugh!
4-H is a U.S.-based network of youth organizations whose mission is "engaging youth to reach their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development". Wikipedia We loved 4h when we were growing up. Almost like Girl Scouts
Well, this looks amazing! I wonder if I can do this with vanilla quest protein powder in place of the powdered monkfruit….stay tuned and thanks so much, you two! 💕 🍪
About 13 years ago.. my then teen made low carb 'Fiddle Fiddles'.. she swapped out the oatmeal for coconut ..back then we could only get shredded... and the sweetener she used was spends.. we have since learned to not eat splenda.. we followed the old recipe and they worked. They hardened.
These are really dangerous!! 🤪 (I say that in a good way!) I’ve loved these my whole life, & it’s great they are just as delicious when made keto-fied. The added peanuts are awesome for a little crunch. Love your recipes/channel/you/your family/humor/all of it! 👍🏻🧡
