I've had my patch growing for over 5 years in zone 2b. Never harvested the bulb below ground though. Thanks for the reminder to get the top sets so they don't take over the garden!
Im 9b zone and bought these from you years ago. they are exactly as stated. were 100 plus temps 3 months a year and i have them in ground and in half wine barrels full sun with no issues either way. great onion for sure run and grab some guys and gals you wont be dissappointed.. now on the other hand i got the godzilla tomato from him also and it hasnt liked my temps in summer either full sun or under shade cloth but i did give some seeds to my brother and he got them to grow at probley zone 8ish so what he sells is legit in my opinion
These are grown in zone 9 with no problems and I Have not heard of anyone needing to grow them in shade. We frequently get in triple digits and they have not balked at it.
