I wish I had watched your instead of the one I did watch before I made you the jello last night. I was concerned about adding all the water in the jello directions. It has been too long since I last made one.
Great video!! Does this give you that jello texture? Or does the liquid just soak in and make the cake moist? Not the biggest fan of jello 😅 Or would you recommend any replacements for the jello section of the recipe? Thanks!

I made this yesterday using a sugar free cake mix and sugar free jello. It was a hit!! Even my husband liked it....he is not too keen on sugar free foods.

Hi Catherine this looks so good. Found a lovely homestead lady on y tube with home prep'd cake mix using my own ingreds and it's excellent and I just keep it in an airtight jar in the pantry and weigh out the same amount as in a box of mix. I add vanilla sugar to it. Thank you Catherine for all you lovely recipes, I will try this one too.👍💝🙂🇬🇧
Can you try to lighten up recipes with monkfriit powder sugar i grew up on old school jello cakes a little bit helps. I made your coffee cake with monkfriit golden instead of brown sugar it
I've seen some videos that use your exact recipe but they pour sweetened condensed milk over cake holes before the jello mixture. What are your thoughts on that. Your cake looks nice on a plate and I know it tastes amazing.

When my Grandpa was in ICU in bad shape after he was doing better and did not need thickened water and could eat, he could eat what ever he wanted, I made him strawberry poke cake cup cakes. He loved sweets. It's so simple but so big on yummy! I make poke cakes a lot for family get together too! I have used lemon cake with strawberry or raspberry jello.
