I grew up in urban areas but learned how to process chickens during survival training in the military. That process is more rudimentary than how you did it. However, it was interesting to see a more refined way. I think that many people are reluctant to learn the process. It is important that every one of us knows what it takes to bring poultry to the supermarket or directly to your table. I imagine that processing other poultry products ( Ducks, geese, pheasants, guinea fowl, turkey, etc.) would employ a similar process. This video was the one that encouraged me to subscribe to this channel. Now I need to get to an area where I could get some hands-on training, not only for poultry but beef, deer, and pigs too.
Hey Urban Hippie here. I was hoping you showed the beginning process. We are processing 30 this weekend. We bought the drill plucker. Can’t afford the other one. We will be filming it and hopefully all goes well. 😂 I’ll be posting a little bit on FB. I’m sure I’ll get a warning 😂
Hi guys good to see you both. I always forget the other channel name I will get it soon . Thanks for sharing have good day. Boy will that chicken be delicious for the winter 👍
Great setup, I'd say, for up to about 30 birds, easy peasy lemon squeezy...lol 😂😅 I understand the bag and straw method, but I prefer a sealer. Love ya'll ❤
The plucking didn't even last for, "just a chicken plucking minute." Seems like technology has got the best of the chicken. Nice Video and well described.
Very cool. Of course, as an urban guy I buy mine ready to go but i always save the carcass so I can make broth. It's so much better than what you get at the store.
Awesome video, next time throw some dish soap in the hot waters it cuts the soaking time along with loosen the hard to get feathers. We did it for about 400 birds, helped out so much!
This is a zombie show..don't expect rationality. If you toss the legs in a pressure cooker they get soft like pate and you eat them . Chickens would love broth from every part of the chicken also. Super nutritious.
Colossians 3:1-3 King James Version 3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Gods blessings over you.
Shame on you, Mike. You threw away my favorite pieces. The heart and gizzard have great flavor and texture and chicken livers wrapped in bacon and fried in a pan are inviting table fare appetizers anywhere.
