One of the things that helped me is learning that the shuvit isnt just a little scoop, its a whole motion and it definitely feels like much more than just a tiny shove.

I did shuvs on carpet after being able to do them on flat ground and it completely screwed me up I wouldn’t recommend doing them on carpet as it’s completely different than flat ground

I accidentally did this trick when I first started one of the easiest tricks I learned😭

This doesn't work! You might get really good at shuvs on a bare board, but when you add wheels and do it on concrete where your board can roll you have to relearn it all over.

I always carpet board and i cant manage to land a shuvit :( I somehow pop it to much that my feet dont go ontop of the board. I also always land with 1 foot

Wait... you have a don't practice tricks stationary video because of having to relearn... and then a how to shuv it video, arguably the easiest trick, not only stationary but with no wheels, trucks and minimal grip tape on carpet... yes because that's not contradictory at all. I think there is more value to learning stationary with wheels and trucks on while holding on to something and then once you have the movements understood learning while rolling, rather than doing this and then having it feel completely different once you have shoes and wheels on, but that's just my opinion. Just saying as a beginner skater that the mixed messages are confusing. Maybe the message should be learning stationary for the shortest time possible and then trying it while rolling is the best option for nervous or older skaters, I've seen first time skaters get hurt pretty bad just trying to ollie on an unsecured board and think skate trainers or even tennis balls on the wheels. or a pole to hold on to are valuable in learning without injury even if it takes more time. However I do understand just practicing stationary for months without moving forward could be detrimental and at a certain point after simple tricks and some experience it's better to just learn while rolling.
