I love that you used a normal pot to cook in this video and not a clay pot because like you said, not everyone has one. And this recipe is so easy, I’m going to have to try it soon! I’ve seen other soondubu recipes on here where there are some extra steps and most of them use dried anchovies as well. Anyway, this looked delicious. Thank you mama Kim! 💕✨
Thank you for uploading this video. A simple way to prepare a Korean dish. I like the way you gives us options like even I don’t have a clay pot, i could use a stainless pot and also other red pepper powders.
man that looks so good just 1 question when u say red pepper powder what specific kind is it cayenne, Chipotle, etc...? or is there a Korean chili powder
I am not Korean, but I love eating/cooking Korean food. So most of the Korean recipes I have made in the past that asked for red pepper powder are referring to the korean style red pepper flakes/powder aka Gochugaru. From other soft tofu soup videos that's what I saw them use. BUT I could totally be wrong. Hope this helped a little bit... hehe
It's a korean type of red pepper powder called gochugaru. You can find it at Korean supermarket or most asian supermarkets. Not sure if there'd be any substitutes for it because it has a pretty specific taste that goes with it...
