In this video, I'm going to show you two of my
favorite freehand drawing techniques how to draw in perspective in 1-point perspective and how to measure the depth

Fantastic. I hope video 2 works in the other direction: a room with a determined back wall, and how to project space into the room space (moving forward). Cheers!

Hi Barry, I see what you mean - but from my experience, I have an issue with starting with the back wall - and that is that I can't know the final composition and the picture plane first. That's why I like to start in opposite direction where I have control over the outcome. Does it make sense?

Great video! Only question is what do you mean by the 60 degree field of view and what is that degree based off of in the picture?

Great vedio ❤ it’s really helpful 😊 But how to know where to draw the 1/2-1/2line? (Does 1/2 line helps to find 60degree fram?)

Hi, thanks for your question! It's in the middle between the ground line (GL) and the horizon line (HL). That's where you'll have the same depth as your width of the picture plane. Hope that makes sense!

Same principle! You'd just extend the depth using multiplication through diagonals of a square.

well the problem is that 3x3 meter square angles are not 60 degree but 45. so your video is not correct about angles at all. hopefully measuring this way is correct but what about rectangles?

The 60 degree is the Field of View angle, not a diagonal of a square 🙂 this method is correct, learned from the books, and double checked with a 3D modeling software.
