I had a lot of stems that I wanted to load onto my Deluge but it was a time-consuming and error-prone process through the hardware UI. Don’t get me wrong, the interface is far beyond what is available on most comparable sequencers, but sometimes you just need a computer.
I built a drag-and-drop tool to drag my stems and organise with a few clicks. Then you just put in your Deluge’s SD card and hit “Export to Deluge” to copy over all the audio files and a new song.

Thank you for the app, it works fine and saves a lot of time! Thank you very much. I still have two questions. 1. The waveform color row in song view depends on the signal of the waveform, so some colors to navigate the live set samples are not visible if the sample is not so loud. Is there a way to change that? 2. Is it right that there is a limit to 16Bar loops? I used the "64" Beats setting to set my 16bar stems right. So longer stems are not possible to use?

Hi Sebastian! So for 1. I feel like this is a limitation of the Deluge itself? Maybe you can send me a quick video demonstrating the problem? (michael@squares.tv). 2. Remember that setting ONE loop length automatically sets ALL THE OTHER loop lengths, so as long as you have one loop that is an option in the drop down, there are no limitations on the other loop lengths whatsoever.

Just to clarify as this seems rather appealing - the initial setup stuff you did in Ableton, none of that is Ableton specific. Right? I tend to do my mixing and mastering in Logic, so I want to make sure before I decided to try this out.

Yep, Ableton is just an example - you could do the same with Logic, FL Studio, Reason, Bitwig, Reaper or whatever!

hey Michael! Just bought the app and everything went well with uploading the stems into the deluge but I can't manage to set up the right tempo...Original tempo of my track is 82 and my track is playing "well" when I set the tempo of the deluge at 22...which is not really cool if I want to add midi stuffs in the deluge or add another gear and have everything synchronized...Am I the only one to have this problem? Any idea to fix this? Thx 🙏

Hi, thanks for trying the app. It sounds like you need to select a shorter number of beats for the loop you set with the drop down. So if you got this result by saying 64 then try it with 16 and it will then be at the right speed. You only have to select it for one stem and the others are all automatically set - just make sure you choose one you can easily verify the beat and bar length.

Hi Michael, I bought the app, I'm using the latest M1 MacBook Pro and Big Sur OS, it won't let me open the app, says I don't have permissions. What's the fix? Jeff

First, thank you. Does it work if you right click (Ctrl+click) and select “Open”? It should work, it’s properly signed!

Title should read "how to upload stems using my app you have to pay for and only if you have a mac." Thoughts on updating your blog post to include details on how the app is storing the data on the card?
