You are the best female camper/s on RU-vid. I hate to be Gender specific. And to be honest your videos are far better than many male RU-vidr's. You keep it real, no cinematic editing nonsense. No skimpy shorts, skin softening filters. I think you know what I mean. I actually believe you spend a night camping., unlike some........I love your sense of fun it's really refreshing to see a camping video that has no sides to it. Though your production is very professional and it has that 'real' feel to it.
Wow, what a lovely comment! 🤗🤗 you don’t understand how much that means to us x and thanks so much for watching and supporting! We love doing these trails and wild camping, it’s not all glamorous but it’s fun and definitely an adventure xx we are just leaving now to start our next trail xx have a great week!
Really loving the videos, watched a few now and the quality of your content is brilliant. Sharing little facts along the way, having a bit of a laugh and giving advice for water points and camping locations makes for a truly entertaining watch. Can't wait to see more of your adventures together.
Aww what a lovely comment, thanks so much Claire 🤗 I’m really glad your enjoying the content! I’ve been working hard on my editing to try and improve the videos, so that means a lot to me x I appreciate you watching x
Last stage is so unbelievable beautiful. I always thought what other long distance walk in UK I would do after WHW. This is definetly the right choice! Thank you very very much for another perfect video. Go on girls ..
🤗🤗🤗😍🏴 it’s so pretty isn’t it!! Yes for sure, I would defo rate it up there with the WHW but I loved it more as it was so peaceful, we only saw one other couple hiking it the whole week x
Hey ladies we just watched this on the big screen…..was amazing 🤩 so glad you did the B&B for you anniversary….HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVELIES 💥🎉🍾 and of course you looked even more glamorous after a proper bed and a bath/shower, not that I thought it possible but even after 4 nights wild camping you look super glam! Have a great week! Look forward to the next one 😘❤️👍💃
Thanks so much, yes it definitely a close call between the two… I’m actually planning to do a comparison video as requested by one of my subscribers x well done on your photo 😃
Thanks so much for watching, Danni did so well! It’s going to be a bit of a tricky one for her this coming week though .. the next trail has a lot more elevation! 🙈😂
Thank you again, Kerry and Dani, for your positive, humourous and uplifting videos. Totally love them. I've been hiking around the Highlands since the 80s (I live in Scotland), and it's lovely to see you two 'happy' homo sapiens (LOL) visiting places I once spent time in and, to see new places - seeing your travels makes me want to get out there agan. PLEASE keep your superb videos coming. Thank you again, Nigel
Thanks Nigel that was a lovely comment 😄 I’m really pleased your enjoying the videos xx that’s great news that they make you want to get back out exploring again! We are loving every trail we do so much xx
Thanks so much Linda 😃😃 it’s been wonderful having Danni to do these trails with this year, we have one more together then I’ll be back to solo for a few whilst she does a work contract 🙈 but I’ll survive I guess
Hi Kerry and Dani, this was the best video yet , great mix of scenery and fun from you two. When walking and cycling in Scotland a couple of years ago I visited Loch an Eilein and was blown away by the castle in the loch and seeing Eilean donan castle had the same reaction lit up in the dark. Thanks for sharing the trek .
No thank you for watching it 🤗 glad it brought back good memories, I know we will always watch this back with smiles on our faces too x such a beautiful place!
Loved this one, such beautiful scenery. All that heather and mist! Super excited to be doing this next year, will probably watch both these again when Im planning. Loved you were in your tent in the bothy 😅
Hi Rebecca, thanks for the comment! 😃 you should be excited, you will have such a wonderful time on this trail, it’s simply lovely ☺️ I’m psyched for you!! You must let us know how you get on x
Hi. Another cracking trail I love the way you girls film them. I have really bad condensation problems in 1 of my tents and find it helps if you put all your wet gear in a dry bag, it does not help them dry though. Great wee bothy camp, I have never stayed in 1 but camped just outside them lots. Nice wee nod to tea in Valhalla. I like the trails I make up myself. Well done you both officially smashed it. Good luck on the slate trail.
Thanks Gus!! Yeah we were desp trying to dry the stuff out otherwise we would have put it in a dry bag, didn’t work anyway though was all still damp 😂 just gotta get on with the wet and wild look! Can’t wait for the slate trail thanks! When are you gonna join us on one?
@@DrunkOnWanderlust yeah I figured you were probably trying to dry stuff. This is my last day of training now so able to start taking longer holidays now. I will need to get my fitness up though 🤣
@@DrunkOnWanderlust I like that it starts and finishes at the same point. I did a tiny bit of it though and it was ankle breaking stuff. I think it might just be the farmer sending everyone away on a jolly to keep them off their land though.
Congratulations on your anniversary! - Another great vid, the Alexander Bro's intro song is brilliant lol! great drone shots, happy dancing, hand holding, beautiful scenery, and great wild camping advice. I'm really looking forward to the Snowdonia video, superb entertainment, many thanks to you both. BTW 40 minutes is not too long for these videos, just saying 😁
Well that’s good to know for sure, I was worried people would get bored halfway through 🤗🤗 glad it stayed interesting enough x appreciate you watching and commenting x
Happy Anniversary you lovely pair! What a lovely B and B! Pizza and brekky delivered to your door?not sure how i can beat that, its our anniversary in a week (yikes)! The heather throughout was immaculate, at its best! What a moody final day for this epic trek! The clouds and views were incredible on the misty cold start. 4C? Wow, bit of me that! Awesome views over the Loch! An incredible journey, thank you for sharing! ♥️
Just watched this again, a great trip, just a little advice on camping at the river side beach, a rain storm many miles away in Scotland will flood it out in a couple of hours, have a fire on the shore, it will wash away, but always camp on the green, take care ❤❤👍👍☕️☕️
Caught up on this last night - downloaded the app too ( shame I've just renewed outdooractive for next year as it looks great). Belated Congrats on the anniversary. Love your style as it's route and fun heavy rather than gear heavy which is perfect. And once again in my patch . You are right, I'm lucky to live here !,
Thanks Andy, so glad your enjoying the vids 😃😃 the app is awesome 👏 but it’s always down to personal preference of course xxx can’t wait to get back up north again soon!
I know 🙈😂 but it was dark and there were creepy crawlies in there! Gotta protect yourself ya know! Yes it was so so beautiful 😍 appreciate you watching x
Yet again another cracking video... amazing views and you captured the feel of the location very well too... I recently recommended the Grand canyon as a place to visit and still would, but maybe a bit closer to home is Switzerland... I worked there in 2003 and it was unbelievably beautiful... I stayed at Brig, Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen... Brig was okay but everywhere was up a mountain... Interlaken was canny, some great places to eat and there are some great places to walk, in fact when I was there you could walk (scramble up rickety old wooden steps and ladders) to the glacier there, but for me Lauterbrunned was just magical, its a ravine with a flat bottom and a small river running through it, there are excellent walks all around and if your brave enough you can even base jump off the edge of the ravine and land down at the bottom... when I was there it was October and you could look up and see it snowing at the top of the ravine but by the time it got down to me it was raining... amazing place and would love to go back one day... so there you go... another suggestion... or just go back to Scotland, i've been to Loch Doon (Dumfries and Galloway) and that was stunning... Hadrians Wall in Northern England is great, could do the coast to coast along there too... South Downs looks great as well... jeez better stop there lol... oh... and happy anniversary to you both... heres to many more years of you two brightening up youtube with your videos :)
Such a lovely comment again! We are actually hoping to do the tour du mount blanc for my birthday next year which would pass through Switzerland but the places you have recommended sound amazing I will have to check it out 😃😃😃
Amazing!! Well done girls, enjoyed this one even more than the first one. It looks such a beautiful trail, can’t wait to see ur snowdonia one now 🤣🙈 thanks for sharing ur adventures us 💖
Thanks again so much for watching, yes it was so much fun! Snowdonia is going to be a lot wetter by the looks of it, but I’m sure it will still be beautiful 😍
My favorit is West Highland Way, challeching but beatyful. All Scotland in one trip. Im am looking forward to do East highland way next year in september.
Yes the WHW will always hold a place in my heart ❤️ it was my first long distance trail and so beautiful x but you will love the EHW too, it’s a stunner!
Just found your channel and I love it , I watched through my TV so just came to give a like and say thanks 🥂💜🙏 PS you rarely seem to eat ,it would be nice to see how you cook when out 😁
Hi there Henry 😃 firstly… thanks so much for watching and taking the time to come and comment x that’s lovely!! Ah rest assured we eat loads! But the damn midges would swarm every time we were cooking so it was difficult to film at that point 🙈🙈 we have had a few requests for some more foodie shots though, so when we start our next trail next Saturday we will make sure to get some food shots on the slate trail!! Appreciate your feedback 🙌🤗 although we do eat some peculiar concoctions so be warned ha ha
Congratulations on your first year together. 👏 what's in those drinks girls? Enjoy bonnie Scotland. Where did you find the opening music? It reminds me of those cringy shows that used to be on BBC Scotland.
😂 thanks mark! Omg I have such an addiction to those hot chocolates with marshmallows and cream … we would often get into the towns before the pubs open so no Guinness on this trail… but these were a good substitute! Actually can’t remember where that music Clío was from 🙈😂 I’ve had it on my phone in my files for a while
@@DrunkOnWanderlust I think you're safe on the hot chocolate drinks, all that walking and work keeps your figures very trim. I had my cousin watching too, who is down from Portree on business in Liverpool. Great to see you both again Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 on your 1st Anniversary
Happy Anniversary to you both ❤❤. Gorgeous weather again and never seen the ferns so big as they have been this year and cake and coffee like a great with to finish stage 4 in Laggan and Tigh - An - Each looked perfect. Walking through that valley of heather was superb, especially in that weather - glorious indeed! Hard to believe there was a storm due when you looked at that weather and so nice you made Newton Moor in the sun and able to eat Al Fresco. You took the diversion better than I would have done but not lone before you were back on the Poo Trail 😳. Have to say 3 wee's an hour is about my normal when I am out of the trail (an age thing) but first time I have heard of a danger wee 😂. Shame about the rain but at least you had a real roomy tend to hibernate in and the morning restaurant stop looked like a life saver. Talking about life savers that bothy but have been manner from heaven, especially with it been empty. The last day my have been cold with wet and blistered feet but what a magical look over the Loch, it looked amazing and two very well deserved medals to finish the trail, cheers Alan
Aww thanks Alan, yes it was a perfect trail tbh.. aside from my hiking boots splitting and dannis angry blister… it was ideal 😃♥️ couldn’t have asked for better weather, I don’t even mind a day or two of rain as long as the whole week isn’t a wash out x
Just came across your video. I'm doing the trail and wild camping in April so this was a great find. Super interesting and informative- love that you give map locations for water and camping. Just one question - how easy did to find it to charge your devices? I carry an anker powerbank but even with that i almost ran out of battery on the WHW.
Hi Caroline, so glad you found it useful 🤗🤗 how many charges does your power bank give your phone? Is it worth taking 2? Even if the second one is a smaller back up? I use my phone to navigate and film, so need it topped up all the time. If we passed a pub or cafe I would always charge it whilst we ate etc …. Just ask nicely, also we stopped in a bnb half way so we charged our power banks again x
Mark hi 👋😃 ooooh we would love to! But will probably have to wait until next year for that one… I’m fully booked with trails now until the end of the year 🙈🙈😍😍😍
Congratulations on your anniversary and completing the trek girls 👍🏻 Do you guys come from a presenting back ground as you are both very good in front of the camera? 👍🏻
Thanks so much, yes we are both performers by trade so are used to it which helps in front of the camera, but sometimes I feel we can get too much into presenter mode by auto pilot and not just chat naturally so it’s swings and roundabouts
Yeah second comment danni it feels like you've been shot when one of those buggers bites you they don't sting they bite and hell fire you know about it atb lassies already got a big smile on my face with your shenanigans 😀👍
Hi Sam! 😂😂 professional danger wee stunt man! No it was a super quiet trail, we only met one other couple doing it the whole week! It was blooming glorious
Well done you two another one done, good to see you a little sad because it's over. You crossed the Feshie Bridge, now that brings back memories. I did a 3 day white water rescue course in the month of november, bloody cold and the Feshie was a raging torrent. So what dates are you in Snowdonia? I am there at some point in September.
Iain 😃😃🙌 omg I would not want to be in any river in November … frost bite springs to mind ha ha x we arrive there on the 11th and leave on the 19th xxx
@@DrunkOnWanderlust what is that walk called in snowdonia? For the Feshie we had dry suits on with fleece undersuits, oh and sealskin glove but it was still cold, BRRR,
A raptor could clear that enclosure fence without breaking in to a sweat (if reptiles perspired😂) Another great hike ladies. As for the danger wee. That's only a female thing. A male danger wee would be taking a pee on an electric fence ⚡⚡⚡😂😂😂
I have a tip that worked for me camping, I bought a small plastic bottle of lavender Pillow mist for a £1 from savers and sprayed it around the inside of our tent kept mostiques and gnats away and the tent smelt lovely when going to bed . Ps subscribe 😊
Hi Raul, thanks for watching 🤗 This trail was stunning and the scenery was breathtaking… Surely you noticed more in this video than if we had make up on 🙈 that’s irrelevant and a personal choice that doesn’t affect anyone else 😁 some girls just like wearing it! Scotland is amazing and we highly recommend this trail x you should try it sometime x
